Question about my Hotwire Savings Club...

I ordered about $363 in gift certificates tonight to give as Christmas gifts. I was told that I will receive about $63 back. How does that work? Will they charge my card the $363 and then at a later time credit my card the $63? Please explain!

My understanding is that when someone uses one of the gift cards your credit card will get credited the proper amount as long as you are still a member of the savings club.

THe card will be charged the full amount at time of purchase, and the "rebates" will appear on the next charge statement (or possibly the one after, depending on the billing cycle and when in the month you ordered them).

For every $10 certificate/gift card you purchase through the Hotwire Savings Club, you will receive $2 back at the end of the month. For every $25 certificate/gift card you purchase through the Hotwire Savings Club, you will receive $5 back at the end of the month.

The credit back will go to the credit card you used to purchase the certificates/gift cards.
Because this is an exclusive Hotwire Savings Club offer, the certificates/gift cards must be purchased through the Hotwire Savings Club. Credits are not available for certificates/gift cards purchased at retail locations. You can purchase a combined total of 15 certificates/gift cards per retailer/restaurant per member family per membership year.
