Question about MVMCP

If you buy tickets for this and go during the week 1st part of December do you have enough time to do everything and is everything open? I was trying to figure out if we would still need to buy a one day pass.

if i remember correctly, quite a lot is open. the major rides are definitely opened. keep in mind there are shows that you will probably want to see also. and of course the parade and fireworks are not to be missed. go for it!!

You can enter the park as early as 4:00pm with your MVMCP ticket, so you would have 8 hours. Most of the attractions are open but a few aren't, like the train, Hall of Presidents, Tiki Room. To get the most out of it, don't pick a Friday night, that is the most crowded. I would go for Tuesday if you can.

If you go in early December--a week or 2 after the thanksgiving break--it is easy to "do it all" with a one day pass--they do not have everything open, like disney queen suggested. Do you have kids? Is this your first trip to disney? How long are you there for and what are the expectations of the trip? Sorry for the 3rd degree...basicallyIf you are trying to squeeze in other parks during a short trip--then the christmas party would be sufficient to accomplish time in the Magic Kingdom.

We are going for 4 nights and I have 2 boys 15 and 13. We went for our first time during spring break this year. I was just trying to save money on tickets and if we were going to to the MVMCP and we had enough time for everything during that time frame than I wouldn't buy a 1 day ticket to MK, instead I would buy 1 day tickets for MGM and Epcot, and we planned on Sea World for a day (never been) What do ya think?

Your boys are old enough to stay up until midnight, it's not your first time, I would go for it! MVMCP is very special!

I would think Thurs. would be okay. Just try and avoid the weekends, they're always more crowded. Have fun, just ordered our tickets for Tues.

You will probably be able to do a majority of the major attractions. What you might want to think of doing is get to MK as early as you can enter with the MVMCP pass, usually around 4 or 5. Take in a couple of rides at that point, and then position yourself in one of the areas that you really want to hit a couple of rides in quickly such as Frontierland for Splash Mtn and BTMRR. What will happen is that portions of MK will be shut down @ 6:00 and then re-open @ 7, so that the non MVMCP attendees can be shepherded out of the park.

You will be wearing a neon colored ID bracelet that will ID you as a MVMCP ticket holder. You'll get this when you enter the park. Decide which parade you want to see. In your situation I'd personally try for the second parade, and use the first parade to get in some additional rides. Then, make sure you see Wishes, which usually goes off around 9. The second parade is around 10:15. By that time the crowds will have thinned because most of the party-goers with small children will need to get back to the room because their little ones are worn out. You will then probably be able to hit a few more high profile rides at this point with little or no wait.

As other posters have stated, stay away from Friday and Saturday dates. Go for a Tuesday or Thursday. The one big snafu I see in your plans is that you don't have any fudge factor in your schedule in case it rains. Usually, I try to tell people to buy tickets for MVMCP for as early in their trip as possible, so that if it rains, you'll be able to exchange your tickets for another night.
