If I have 2 contracts at the same resort with the same use month, one for 150 pts and one for 100 pts, can I make 1 reservation for 250 points at the 11 month window?

So long as they are the home resort for the reservation they can be used for 11 month booking regardless of use year

And can you combine points from 2 different contracts into 1 reservation?

Yes you can. It is seemless if they are from the same use year. That's why it's best to keep the same use year at a single resort. It really makes life easier.

And can you combine points from 2 different contracts into 1 reservation?
Yes provided the contracts are set up under the same membership number (a master and an add-on, or two add-ons to the same master contract) then you can draw points from both contracts for one reservation. If the two contracts are at the same resort, you can book 11 months out at that resort using points from both contracts. If the contracts are for different resorts, you can combine the points for a reservation 7 months out.

If the two contracts are under two different membership numbers, then you cannot combine the points for one reservation. You can book part of the reservation with one contract and part with the other and link the two reservations together, or transfer points from one master contract to the other and then make the reservation.

All of the above answers have assumed these are linked contracts under a single master contract. While this is usually true even for resale, it is not always so. Sometimes when you buy a resale contract DVC fails to link them and if they don't do it initially, they won't go back and do it. And if there is any variation at all in the ownership, they cannot be linked. Separate contracts of a single owner are treated like different people in most cases though in the past DVC has shown some flexibility on a case by case basis. You'd lose the aggregate booking windows.

So if by chance these were not linked, the answers vary slightly. You would book some rooms with one contract and some with another and then link them. The reservation would act as one in that situation. The problem areas with separate contracts are where you need the points in one contract such as that last night were you don't have enough points in one, or have banked or borrowed points you need to use up. The other area where points must be in one contract is for exchange options like II and esp DCL. In the past DVC has been flexible where obviously appropriate even transferring banked or borrowed points and allowing multiple exchanges in a use year when the rule at the time was one per use year.

We have a master contract with three subcontracts under it. We also have a second master contract with only 50 points. If I want to combine the points of the second master contract, I have to use my once a year transfer to move them into the first master contract, which uses the once a year transfer for that contract as well.

This is helpful. Ok, so if I buy 150 pts via resale now and 100 pts via add-on later, I can get them linked, right?

If you "add-on" through Disney they will be linked. NO need to worry. Only if you buy a re-sale addition do you need to do a little work to make sure they are linked. By definition, an add-on is just that, linked and added to the master contract.

OK now I'm confused and I thought I understood this. In my post I stated:

So are you saying that I could have two contracts under the same membership number, set up as a master and an add-on or as two add-ons to the same master but the contracts may not necessarily be "linked" and the points could not be pooled? I guess I don't understand what you mean by "linked".

No Lisa, I'm saying it's possible to have the same use year or even same resort and use year and them not be linked under the same master contract. This happens in the two situations I noted. Where the registration is slightly different and in a small percentage of situations where a member bought resale and DVC didn't realize they were already a member and didn't link the two contracts.
