Question About MNSSHP Costumes.....

Hello everyone!

I'm so glad to find a forum like this!

Anyway, I'm an animation major and I'm graduating college soon and my mom surprised me with a trip to WDW this year for Halloween (my favorite holiday) to celebrate graduation and my birthday. I haven't been to WDW in 8 years, so I plan on discovering many new things!

So I soon discovered adults could dress up for MNSSHP and I most definitely will! I talked my mom into dressing up as Michael Jackson Billie Jean style (We're both HUGE MJ fans and can't wait to see Captain EO again!) and I would love to dress as my childhood hero: Indiana Jones!

My question is about Indy's trusty bullwhip. I have one that's mostly for show but cracks decently. I will never use it but mostly have it tied up for show on my belt. Will Disney allow me to have that in the park? If not, there's these child Indy halloween whips made of foam for a cheap price. Will they let me in with that? I just feel Indy needs his whip to BE Indy, you know what I mean?

The Indy costumes I saw did not have any whips. I would call down there to find out ahead of time or try to get through security and they might take it. Have fun!

Not sure if anything changed, but when we went in 2008, the back of the paper that came with our tickets basically said that costumes could not 'obstruct vision,interefere with others,be profane , and could not contain anything that may be mistaken for an actual weapon'...I would check whether or not that is still the case
