I'd LOVE to go for 2005, and I was thinking about trying to book a trip for us from December 26 - 30. Is the Christmas Party no longer going on during that week  I was really hoping to go to it, I saw a special about it on the travel channel and it just looks like so much fun.

Thanks so much!

It is always over before christmas...I went this year on the last night December 17th.... :rockband:

::yes:: :wave2: For MVMCP I've seen since 1992 was one year they had one on the 21st of December.welcome to the Dis

Unfortunately you won't see MVMCP running that late.

If memory serves, the MVMCP parade is run as the daytime parade by then. And you'll definitely get to see the other holiday festivities like the Osborne Lights and the Candlelight Processional.

MVMCP was originally designed to drum up additional business in early-December, which is traditionally a slower time at WDW. By Christmas week, MK has to stay open late just to accommodate the tens of thousands who flock to WDW for the week.

For what it's worth, we were disappointed in MVMCP. We had a party of 6--4 adults and 2 kiddies--and just didn't feel it was worth the nearly $200 extra it cost. We enjoyed the "Jingle Jungle" holiday parade at the Animal Kingdom better than the one during MVMCP, and the Osborne Lights (a free event) had more "magic" than MVMCP.

I don't regret trying the event--and we'll probably hit the Halloween party someday--but it's nothing we'll be rushing back for in future years.
