Just becouse I am a Mod does not mean I can recall or know everything If you purchase a MVMCP ticket...do you also have to have use a Park admission or AP to enter that evening? For the life of me I can not recall.
The MVMCP is a separate event and the MVMCP ticket stands alone no matter what other admission ticket that you might have like an Annual Pass or Hopper.
Last year and the year before they allowed people in early, like around 4:00 or so. They also shortened the time between the closing of Magic Kingdom until the start of MVMCP from two hours to one hour.
But to tell you the truth, I don't think that they really closed the park. They just tried to move everyone to the Tomorrowland area until MVMCP was to officially open.
Three years ago, and earlier (pre September 11th, and the weak economy), They allowed two hours to close the Magic Kingdom before MVMCP started and they tried hurding everyone out down Main Street and out of the park. They also stayed open until 1:00 A.M. instead of midnight.
The last two years, I've seen a lot of people without an MVMCP armband during te night. I guess that a lot of people figured out how to cheat the system by staying inside the park during the day and sneeking by the castmembers until MVMCP opened.
On a side note, Patrick, I was planning on going to one or two MVMCP's during my stay. I haven't decided what day, or what restaurant that I want to eat at in the MK. Crystal Palace or Liberty Tavern? I do know that I will try to plan a priorty seating sufficient time to finish eating before the start of MVMCP.
If you don't already have plans to eat dinner with others or if you are planning a more private evening, would you like to plan a priorty seating?
If you planning on your own to go to MVMCP, when you call WDW to order your tickets; you can now make priorty seatings at the MK Liberty Tavern. Just pick a time that allows you to finish eating before MVMCP opens.
Also, if Brisully plans another fishing trip with you, I sure would like to join you.
