Question About Google Earth

I installed Google Earth on my laptop not too long ago. The last time I remember using it was around Easter weekend. I noticed that as of recent, my Google Earth icon was missing off my desktop (I am the only one using this computer...and never deleted it myself). So I searched for GE...says no items on my laptop match (???)
So...back I went to the Google Earth website to re-install it. Just finished, but still cannot find it. My question is, has anyone else experienced the same trouble with GE, or have any tips on what might be going on?

Please disregard my above post. I found the application through my C drive and is working just fine. Sorry to take up space with that.
