We are booked for Sept with Free Dining! :cool1:

Now that the tip is no longer included, can you tip with any form of payment?

I usually do not carry a lot of cash on me and just use my Disney Visa for everything and pay off the balance each month.

Can I use my Disney Visa for a tip? Or better yet, can I use my Disney Rewards card (points) towards the tip?

you could carry gift cards
you can have them charged to your room, then pay with the disney visa

One suggestion, and you can take it for whatever it's worth.

We always decline room-billing, because there have been some instances of DDP meals being billed as cash sales to the rooms.

If the DDP credit deduction doesn't go through for some reason, the default is to room-bill the charge. That appears to happen at the end of the evening, not while the guests are in the restaurant, because the guests usually have their receipts showing the use of DDP.

Unfortunately, the error usually doesn't get discovered until the guest is checking out, and then it's a big hassle to get it resolved. It gets fixed, of course, but that takes time during a period when the guest is either scrambling to make a flight, or trying to cram as much fun into their final day as possible.

To us, it's much easier and less risky to just put the tip on the credit card at the restaurant.

Thanks for the responses. I forgot charging to the room was an option. We'll either pay with credit card or charge to the room. I can see where getting your meal charged to your room would be a big pain too........Luckily, we did not have that problem last time.

My MIL always preferred being tipped in cash. Possibly because they held her tips from credit cards until her paycheck and she wanted the quick cash in her hands.

I'm assuming you are allowed to tip in cash, correct?

no you can pay cash tip it's actully what we are opting to do so that B/C if you use the KTTW card or charge it you have to write it in for the waitstaff to put in the computer before they give you your card back...
