I hope this isn't too confusing and I will try to make it as brief as I can. lol
We are booked Sat Nov 26th - Sat Dec 3rd at Pop with free dining for my DH and myself and our DD.
However due to a school situation she may only be able to stay until Wed. Dec. 1st. (we are really hoping she can stay the full week!)

But if she has to leave on Wed. and take the magical express back (she's in her late teens so she's old enough) what happens to her remaining dining credits?
I thought that maybe once we have to do switch her magical express date they may take her off our package for the rest of those dates. However since everyone in the room has to be on the same # of package days etc I wasn't sure if her credits would still remain in our account?
If that is the case then DH and I may have a signature dinner on one of the nights after she has left.

So I've been running this through my head and am just unsure about how Disney will handle this and I know we really want my DD to be able to stay the full week but she really won't know till it's much closer and my planning brain needs to know what my options are! LOL Thanks.

Dining credits are linked to the room so anyone in the room can use the credits. If your DD leaves early you and your husband can use her credits or you can enjoy the signature meal with your daughter while she is still with you. Once you check in all the credits are available to use at any time.

Also, since you don't know if your daughter is staying the full week or not, make all your dining reservations for the maximum number who will possibly be dining. It is always easier to show up with one less than try to add someone later because there might not be any availability left. As long as at least one person shows up at the restaurant you will not be charged for the missing person.

Thanks so much for the info about making the ADR's. My DD is a bit of a picky eater even at her age so I'm not sure she'd get much enjoyment out of a signature restaurant. And I also have a list of the places she wants to eat on the nights she will for sure be there.
But great advice on making the ADR's for the 3 of us all week in case we need them. I would gladly give up a signature dinner for her to be able to stay the whole week with us but as I said the planning side of me needs a plan A and a plan B. I wish I wasn't such a compulsive planner and could just relax about all of it a little bit. LOL!

I'm in the same situation with my DS19 next year. The extended family will all be at Disney for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We are not sure if he will be able to stay for the whole period that I am booked for yet. The advice from purple figment is good though, as we had this situation a few years ago when my DH couldn't stay for the same number of nights as the kids and I.

yes it makes the planning difficult I feel like with how hard it is to get some ADR's that I already have to have a plan A and plan B but now with this I need a plan C!
Also makes my head spin when I try to think about scheduling park days, FP+ and the meals to make sure she gets to fit in everything she wants to see, do and eat in the days she will for sure be there. Meanwhile her and DH don't have a clue what it takes to plan all that stuff. LOL
