I have 4 resale contracts spread out among three resorts with two use years.

I have a poly resale with a use year of March(100 points) with all my others being June(SSR 255 pts and Riv 200 pts)

I will be buying direct this month or next at Poly for 150 to 200 points direct and my guess is that I will ask them to use March to match my other Poly contract. Any particular reason I shouldn't do that?

Secondly, having only bought resale I am quite used to the waiting game. How long will it take from purchase to having my points loaded with Direct purchase typically?

Is there a particular reason you want March and June UY?

In your position, I would sell the March Poly and buy direct with June UY.

If you are set on keeping both, then yes I would match your existing Poly points in March.

As you mentioned, I’d buy it the same UY as you other Poly one as it’s much easier to combine that way.

How long to get your points? Dangerously quick. Usually a couple hours. Once they loaded my points even before I had signed the Docusign.
That is good because my wife has already used all of 2026 for our others!

We go year round and at first we just cared about SAP and the best deals we could get at the time we bought were SSR. Then I got a Poly that was fully loaded at 139 and didn't care that it was a different use year than the others. When I bought a resale RIV I realized the use year didn't really matter since we couldn't use it anywhere but there.

Thanks for the thought out answer.

If you're keeping both use years, definitely need to keep Poly all together for simplicity sake.

Would definitely keep my same resort points together in that March UY.

The direct points will be in your membership, ready for use, very quickly. Might even see them before finish up with your guide. They know they can take them back just as fast, if purchase fails prior to official closing.

I agree to keep the same resorts together. Just makes it easy to use for a single reservation at 11 months!

Just noting that will matter now, sort of. You would be able to combine your direct points with those RIV resale points for longer stays at RIV if you wanted to. Of course, you can do a transfer or just book two separate reservations under each UY too.

All that said, if I were in your shoes, I'd sell your resale PVB contract and buy 300 PVB points instead and then match it to your June UY. Then you can bump up to the 300 incentive level. I bet you can sell a 100 pt PVB contract for $160-$165 per point, and the last time I ran the math on 300 PVB points, you can effectively get that purchase price to under $200/point if you use all available incentives. Pretty cheap "points wash" if you ask me.
