Question about DVC renting for a non DVC owner

We are looking into a Oct 2007 vacation for our family of 6 and I was told I cold save money by buying points from a DVC owner and get the vacation we want. My question is where do I find information on how many points I would need? We are looking at checking in on 10/15 and checking out on the 20th. The kids have fall break and we would lke to take advantage of this!!! We havent been back to the mouse sine Christmas '04!

Here's a link to the points chart for 2007. You would rent points from a current member. There are usually threads of points available on the DVC rent/trade board. I'd offer you some but I'm already in the hole for 2007! LOL

As a non-member, points are worthless to you. You need a member to make are reservation for you. Remember, you might not be able to change or cancel the reservation; it's all up to the member and their terms.

You would need a two bedroom villa with 6. Put a request on the Rent/Trade board for a two bedroom at whatever resort you want for the days you want and see what happens.
