So I'm getting ready to decorate the house (yes, I'm behind). Usually I take all my existing knick-knack things, pictures, and other house decorations, wrap them up and store them in the Christmas bins until it's time to change out again. However we are moving this summer. So I'm wondering if I should just pack all the things away in anticipation of the move that way I don't have to unpack and then repack them again later.
The house will look pretty bare but I suppose that's better for showing in the spring anyways.

So would you pack pack or just pack and then bring them back out?

I'd pack them for the move. That will save you time to concentrate on other things (mho)

I'd pack them for the move too. When we sold our house several years ago the realtor was quite definite that we should pack up most of our personal stuff so that prospective buyers could visualize their stuff in our home. Your house might be kind of bare for a few months but it could save you some time later on.

I think you should just go ahead & pack them to move them. It will also be less to dust around while you're trying to keep your house clean for buyers.

I'd half-pack. Pack-pack half the stuff away for the move and bring half the stuff back out. It'll still feel homey but not cluttered.
