Question about current SSR incentives

We just returned from Disney last week. On our last day there my husband went to learn about the DVC. We are looking into the SSR resort and are pretty sure this is something we are going to do. We asked about time frame and they said the closing would most likely not be until the beginning of May. My question is with the incentives you get the UY August 2007. This means we would get the 2007 points, but we are already past the point where we could bank them. Am I correct in thinking that means we would have to use them by July 31st 2008? If this is true, what do you think the availability would be for trying to book something in May for a June or July trip? They make it seem like a great incentive, but I dont know if its something we would actually be able to use? Thanks for your help. These boards are filled with great info!

Member Service usally makes exceptions to new contracts or add ons for the banking window. I was in same situation and tried to hurry and get banked MS said they don't enforce that for new memebers. Then we added on and was past banking window and they banked them for us. I would verify with your sales rep.

They would let you bank them if you told them when you buy in thats what that you want to do. Just tell your guide.
Also dont know if you know about the 500.00 GC if you buy 160 points and then 1000.00 if you buy 320 points if you are referred by a current member.Just thought I would let you know that. You also get 10.00 off PP.

Yes, thanks for the info. Since we started the paperwork process while we were in WDW we are eligible for the $500 gift card. We have the paperwork in hand now and just wanted to confim a few things. My husband actually called and they said we had until our closing date to bank the Aug 07 points.
