Question about CS Credits

I hope I can ask this question in an understandable way. When using the DDP for counter services, is there a specified time between meals before you can reuse the card to order another meal. For example, for a family of 4, if we wanted to order 10 cs meals, can we use them all in one day?

Yes, I am pretty sure you can. We have used more than 1 each per day of TS. when doing signature type dining.

I am not certain but I think you can only use the amount equal to the number of persons on the reservation. For example, and like I said, I could be wrong, my family is 3 adults. I would only be able to charge for 3 adult meals at each order. However, I do not believe there is a time frame in which you can not use another round of 3 credits.

I do not believe the receipt or the card have a list of how many people are on a reservation but I am pretty sure I read somewhere that this was the case because they do not want you sharing your food plan. On the other hand we have had people offer to "pay" for our meal because they were leaving and were not going to use their counter service meals, and the CM at the register did not have a problem with this.

We've actually done this. We knew we'd have a few extra CS meals leftover last year, so if/when the kids were still hungry at breakfast (a lighter meal at a CS for them) we would go back through the line and grab another meal for them to share...etc.

Sometimes my husband and oldest son would want something different to eat, so my other children and I would go through one line and get our meals. My husband and oldest son went through another line.....but all our cards said 7 people were on the dining plan. The CMs never said a word about them not using the max amount.

The only time we did have an issue was one morning we knew the kids would still be hungry so we grabbed the extra meal during our first trip through the line. When the CM saw we had 8 meals and our cards showed 7 people on our room cards/meal plan they said we couldn't do that.

So if you wanted to get another meal soon after eating the first....that's fine. Just don't try to get 10 meals at one time through the line LOL

We have done this before, especially our last day when buying meals for our plane trip home. I have been able to get more meals than my card allows (i.e. buying 6 meals with only 3 A on the card) but this has been mostly outside the parks. First time I did this at GF I asked the cashier to separate my order into 3 meals for each charge. She asked why, I explained, and she said it wasn't a problem. This was a few years back and they may be cracking down on this now.

However you can definitely have 1 person charge the max. amount to one card and have another person do the same in a different transaction.
