Is Cirque du Soleil any good? Also if you got seats in the back like in the blue section shown at the link below are they pretty good seats? Can you see pretty good from back there? Are they balcony seats or are all the seats on the floor? And does anyone know if AAA or Military offers discounts on the tickets? I looked at the AAA website but didnt see any thing. I would love to have the red seats up front but they are to expensive for us.

We went to the Cirque show in June and I can only sum it up as awesome. We sat in section 206 which is the Category 2 (Blue) seating. The theater is set up kind of like the movie theaters that have stadium seating. There is alot of action that is higher up so if you can sit in the blue sections anywhere I think you would be happy.

Oh stadium seating? NICE! Love that! I hate regular seating because I always get someone REALLY tall infront of me, LOL! Thank God my movie theater has stadium seating. I love it! Being that a lot of the action is higher up, you would think the best seats are in the back, LOL. Now heres my question. Do you get signed seating or do you get to sit anywhere in your section? Im guessing signed seating so when you purchase tickets can you choose to sit in the middle instead on the left or right?

dw and I sat in section 204 in the red right next to the sound and light board - seats were perfect and the show is AWESOME!!!!! where you want to sit is fine :cool1:  :cheer2:

La Nouba is a really great show! i enjoy it everytime. although, i much prefer the section 100 seats because you feel more a part of the "action" whereas the further up you are, it feels like you're watching from the sidelines. it's stadium seating so you can pretty much see from anywhere in there.

i thought that AAA did give discounts, but i could be wrong. you should call them up and ask

you get an assigned seating.

Ok I have one person saying where I want to sit is fine and now I have another that says signed seating. So which is it?

it is assigned seating and there are NO BAD seats in the house....save your money and get the budget seats...

Personally, I would prefer a seat farther away from the stage...it allows you to take in the entire "picture" which is really what a Cirque show is all about with the act that is performing being part of a giant mosaic...so they tell me. Of all the Cirque shows I've seen I enjoyed La Nouba the best. For some reason it doesn't seem as pretentious as the others.

LaNouba was our very first Cirque show and now we are HUGE fans of it!!!!! We won't miss a show that comes into town here. And we've (as others have) gotten MANY more people hoodked on it like a virus! :lmao: Some people just don't get it or comprehend it from verbal descriptions...until they see it and then Whammo! One of these days we'll go to Vegas jsut to see a few of them there! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! It was actually instrumental in my son being interested in gymnastics! He's a very wary little boy and doens't like sports where he'll be shoved or pushed down by others so it was VERY welcome that he loved to try this. It's wonderful!

I prefer the seats further back, I have seen the show twice and the most recent time we were in the next to the last row across the top. The view is fine. The only area I would avoid is the very far sides. Our first show we sat to the very far left, and we could not see things happening in the corner area, and we could see to the stage right area. A little distracting. But as most have said, every seat is a good seat, and I don't think I would enjoy the show if I was right up front of the stage, too much going on overhead and even behind you during the show.

As with all Cirque shows, I, and seems most do, prefer the second level seating, bllue in this case. Much of he action is high up as well as on the walkway between the two levels. Second tier lets you 'look out' rather than up and look down rather than turning around to look back. And there is action in many places at same time, second level lets you take it all in. Lower might put you in the action, but on a smaller scale. I have seen La Nouba 3 times, -O- twice, KA and Mystere once each and will see Corteo in a few weeks here in Chicago. I did have lower level once, never again.

Enjoy, there is nothing like a Cirque show. :thumbsup2

Anyone know about AAA or Disney Visa Discounts??? I know they have DVC and Passholder discounts but not sure about any others.

1) La Nouba is one of the best shows you'll see. I'm a huge fan of the Cirque du Soleil shows. I've seen La Nouba (5 times), Mystere (4 times), O (1), KA (1), Zumanity (1), and Varekai (1). Next year, when I go back out to Vegas, I'm going to check out Love and La Reve (La Reve is not actually a Cirque du Soleil affiliated show, but it is created by the creator of Mystere).

2) Best seats are about midway up. Someone mentioned behind the sound board... that's where I usually get them. Being down in the 100 level is nice and you do feel as though you are 'part of the action'... however, the Cirque du Soleil show is, for lack of a better term, an assault on your senses.. especially visually. There are things going on all over the stage at the same time (even off to the sides of the stage). The closer you get, the more limited your peripheral vision is, meaning you will miss a lot (I've seen it 5 times and I still catch new things every time) that is happening to the edges of the stage. Also, there are portions of the show that happen in the walkway between the 100 and 200 sections... which means that, should you choose to sit in the 100 section, you have to turn around to see what's going on... whereas, in the 200 section, you're always facing forward.

Avoid the far sides and far back of the theater. While you can still see, it's not as good as being toward the bottom of the 200 level.

3) When you go, take a minute to realize and enjoy the fact that EVERYTHING you are seeing is live and not pre-recorded. Yes, the music is live. Yes, the singing is live. It's all being done for you then and there.

La Nouba is second for me in regards to the Cirque shows. Mystere, in my opinion, is heads and tails the best I have seen of the bunch. However, as far ahead as Mystere is, that's how far ahead I think La Nouba is from the rest. Just an amazing show. I can't really say enough good things about it.

 Hi ya'll

Yes, yes, yes, the music is most definately live. That "trumpet" player is to die for. My DS is a Sr. in high school & loves the way that trumpet player plays. He's so graceful & his intonation, & all around sound, words just can't explain. I could just sit for hours just listening to his music.

We're going back down to WDW in Nov 06, and we are seeing LaNouba again, but this time we get to sit in Section 103. I was sure hoping to be able to meet and/or get the autograph of the trumpet player for my son. He's going to be a music education major for college but that will be next fall "2007" and know that would be a great christmas present.

Have fun @ LaNouba............ I agree there is not a bad seat in the place, :thumbsup2 we sat in 203 in May 2003. At the beginning of the show in 2003, the musicians walked right in front of us before we knew, they were walking so gracefully, & playing their instruments & not missing a beat. It was way to cool :rotfl2: :teeth:

We go to Cirque every trip. There is not a bad seat in the house - we usually sit in 204. Yes they are assigned seats but when you buy your tickets you pick your seats .

Bumping to see if anyone knows the answer to this, my earlier post??? :confused3
