Question about cancelling?

How long would be considered normal for it to take a TA to cancel a trip? I asked for our early fall trip to be cancelled a month ago and I’ve still not heard anything about it. We decided to go elsewhere this fall so I asked for a refund and plan to book for next year and pay the deposit separately. I know things are back logged and that refunds are taking a while but I would like some communication that it’s at least been submitted or processing. We love our TA so I don’t want to come off rude or overbearing but I feel like a month is a decent amount of time to hear something back.

Then you should definitely follow up with your TA

I agree. I know things are hectic and they are overwhelmed with calls, but I'd follow up. In my experience, reservations disappear almost immediately upon cancelling, so if your TA did indeed cancel, it should no longer be showing in MDE.

That was my thought because I cancelled a short trip we had this spring and it was gone from my app immediately as well. I asked the other day because we were discussing us rebooking and was told they would check on it. I’m just wanting it to be submitted so my refund can start being processed cause I’ve heard the refunds are taking a while right now.

I think a month is a little long, so I'd email or call your TA and inquire about the cancellation. I hope you are able to get ahold of him/her and your cancellation/refund is processed quickly.
