I came across these "backpacks" a few months ago and thought they would be great to take to WDW. I almost bought one, but I wasn't sure if the water would get warm quickly since the pocket for the bladder was in the back of the pack.....which rests directly on your back.

For anyone who has used these, please let me know. Thanks.

I have used them for hiking and biking, but not at WDW. They carry a lot more water than I need in the parks, and it does get warm. You can put some ice in them which helps keep the water (and your back) cool, but it will never stay cold. I prefer to take a fanny pack that has a water bottle and refill often from the fountains.

Camelbak is a brand, not just one product.

They do make fanny-pack sized bags with smaller bladders, and they also make several with insulated sleeves. That way the water stays cold and doesn't take on your body heat.

I have a 100-oz one in an insulated pack I fill with fridge-water before I cut the grass or do similar things. That cold water is sure nice! I have carried the same pack/bladder with chilled water (no ice) for a 6 hr hike in Red River Gorge on a hot summer day. The water was still cool at the end of the hike.

It's a bit more than I need at Disney in Nov, but I might take it if I was going to be there in the summer. Otherwise I'm with weissjaz..... fanny pack with water bottles is enough.

We have the fanny pack size that we take to disney. We fill it with ice and top it off with cold bottled water. It holds about 40 oz of liquid and this lasts the two of us till 1-2 pm then we refill it again that lasts us the rest of the day. Depending on the time of year you go on how long it will stay cold. Ous is insullated and we love it. They also make one that is 100 oz.

I was at Target last week and saw these in various sizes, including some very small ones. I wasn't paying much attention to them, but I thought the tag said you could freeze the bag. I'm sure not all brands are like that though.
