Question about borrowing points

I think I know the answer, but I just want to check.

I have to wait until a trip is inside of a particular UY before I can borrow the following year's points, correct? For example, if I have a February UY and want to make a trip in January, I can borrow 2012 UY points but couldn't use 2013 UY points unless the trip was in February or later, correct?

You can only borrow from the "next" Use Year, based on the reservation you want to make.

With a February, 2011 Use Year, at this time you can borrow from your 2012 Use Year for any trip from February 1, 2011 - January 31, 2012 and from your February, 2013 Use Year for any trip at your Home Resort from February 1, 2012 - June 24, 2013.

For a trip in January 2012, you can use points banked from you 2010 Use Year, points current from your 2011 Use Year and points borrowed from your 2012 Use Year.

Points from your 2013 Use Year could be borrowed for reservations from February 1, 2012 - January 31, 2013 and for reservations from February 1, 2013 - January 31, 2014 ... OR ... banked into your 2014 Use Year for reservations from February 1, 2014 - January 31, 2015.
