Question about booking through Expedia

If you book through Expedia can you call Disney to make requests? My brother needs connecting rooms (I know it's not a guarantee) but can he call Disney to request them after he books? Is there anything different booking through another source? Expedia is showing more availability and better prices than when I called directly to Disney.

Thank you!

If you book through Expedia you'll need to go through them on everything. Disney will not speak about the reservation or add requests.

Other than that it's the same asan thing else. If you're doing tickets from them as well I don't believe those link into Disney's system so you wouldn't be able to pick FP+ options.

Thanks. I don't think that will work for them then. It is a weird situation, but my brother and his ex-wife are going on a trip together with their 3 year old twins. They want to have the best chance possible of getting the connecting rooms. It is only about $100 more to go through Disney but they didn't give us the options of Pop or ASMovies, only ASSports.

They are getting their tickets somewhere else -not sure the exact plan as I think she gets some deal through work.

What about thru southwest vacations, or has anybody ever used them, can they add discounts on if they come out later, and are you still eligible for fast pass plus

Is that through the airline or is that a travel agency?

I'm. to super familiar with SW airlines bookings. On property guests are eligible for FP+ but your issue would be if you're able to link your tickets to the website. And that I don't know. From reading other threads it sounds like SW might offer the same deals as Disney but I don't know if you can add it on after booking or if what you book is what you get.

We've used Expedia and had all our requests met. There should be a comment section during the booking process to add your requests, these get forwarded to the resort. Also, we were given out Disney reservation number and called a few days before we left to confirm they had our requests. It worked out just fine. Good luck!

This is correct - Expedia gives you a Disney reservation number, along with an Expedia Itinerary number. You can link your reservation in My Disney Experience with the Disney reservation number as soon as you get your Expedia confirmation (generally within 24 hours of making your reservation). The hotel itself does not get notice of travel site reservations until 14 days before the check-in date; however, you can still do on-line check in for your Expedia reservation on My Disney Experience, which is where you can also put in requests. I did this just a few weeks ago with an Expedia reservation at the Polynesian, and they accommodated all three of my requests (the building, the floor, and even the view!). However, we went in the "off season" (is there really such a thing anymore??), so it was probably easier for us to get our needs met.
