Question about Boma

Hopefully this isn't already posted and I just couldn't find it....

Can anyone tell me, can you see animals while dining at Boma (from the windows, of course) at the AKL? I have never been to Boma or the AKL and was wondering if you could see animals while either eating at Boma or from anywhere in the lodge besides just the rooms with Savannah views.

I was wondering this as well. We are having dinner there for our anniversary and wanted to walk around the grounds after to check it out. We may stay there for our next visit if we like it.

We could not see animals while dining at Boma, but honestly it was dark and we weren't really looking. We did go exploring around the property afterwards and were able to see zebra, wildebeest, and some birds in the area near the large outdoor bonfire.

Boma is my favorite WDW restaurant and I have eaten there many times. You can not see the animals but before or after you eat you can wander out to do so. I believe you can see animals from [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Sanaa, which is located in Kidani Village, but I can not guarantee that as I haven't tried it yet.

We are trying it for the first time in Sept too. I've visited the AKL before and the grounds are beautiful; plan to spend some time exploring there. (if you are taking a Disney bus, it is a longer ride from any place but the AK.)

Sorry guys, you can't see the animals from Boma (or Jiko). Boma is on the bottom floor of the AKL with a door that leads to a walkway to the pool area. What you do see if very lush greenery. In Sanna at the AK villas you can see the animals. Even that that restauant is on the bottom floor, it looks out on the savana.

Plan to arrive early and walk straight through the lobby to the observation area. There are CMs available the answer questions and there is some written info re the animals.

We did this each time we went to dinner at Boma. Next trip we are going for breakfast and probably won't bother because right after breakfast we will be going to AK.
