Hi everyone how are you doing.I just have a quick question i was wondering when can i start banking my unused points for 2006.I don't want to lose them if i wait too long.I hope someone give me any sugesstions. Thanks eveyone. Missy

I believe you can bank them as soon as they are issued to you. But once banked you can't bring them back to there current year. It is a full committment on your part.

As long as you bank them in the first 6 months of your use year, you can bank 100% of your points. But even if you bank and then find you need some for a trip, you can always borrow some from the next year.

There are three banking deadlines:

From the start of your use year through the end of the sixth month, you can bank up to 100% of your points.

From six months to the end of your ninth month, you can bank a cumulative total of up to 50%. So, if you banked 50% in the first six months, you would not be able to bank anything else. If, you'd banked 40% in the first six months, you could bank an additional 10%.

During your tenth month, you can bank up to a cumulative total of 25%. There is no banking the last two months of your use year.

When you see a post from Caskbill, click on the link in his signature and download his DVC Planner software. It's free for personal use, and it contains a world of features, including the ability to enter all of your contracts and then bring up the banking deadlines for each contract. Very well written and useful software.
