Question about AP and blocked days

I know i've seen this before on here but can't seem to find it now...If you have an AP and go on a blocked day and buy a regular ticket to enter, can you still use your AP for discounts?

I went in July when my AP was blocked (was signed in by CM friend) and I was able to use my AP for discounts.

I've done it in the past, but earlier this year it didn't work. I asked, a lead came over and told me that CMs were manually overriding when the AP didn't scan, but that option is being removed from registers. I only tried it on food, not shopping.

Also, if you have an AP that includes parking and show up on a blockout day, you still have to pay for parking. I supposed the CM can try to override it, but more likely they'd just tell you to pay.
