We are leaving for an eight day trip to DW on the 14th of June and staying at ASSP. We have been to other resorts on numerous occasions and have a DS 16 and a DD12. We usually get one room and at PO and CB have been able to fit a roll away bed in the room for DD. Can you fit a roll away in the ASSP room with it only being 260 square feet? The person at the hotel said they do have roll aways we can get but the rooms are cramped with them. We only sleep and shower at the room so its okay with not much space but the critical question is will it fit at all? Any advice would be great.

Hi brerrabbit and welcome to the disboards. The person at the hotel was right. It will be cramped but you should all fit. Just remember, cramped at Disney is a LOT better than all the room you need at home.;) Especially if ya'll are just sleepin' and showerin' in the room, as we'd say in Texas...:p :D

Cheers:)

PS...It's good to have another Texan on the board. Have fun at WDW!!!!:D

In August 1997 we stayed at the AS sports resort. There was my husband, son 16, daughter 11 and I. We had a roll away bed for ds. It fit and in the morning we just folded it up to make more room. If you only sleep and shower in the room it is no problem. There is so much to do at WDW that you don't really spend that much time in your room. The one night my husband had a migraine we went to the arcade in the main building to give him some time and space to deal with it. I also tried to keep room as tidy as possible to avoid clutter that would make the room seem smaller. Have fun.

Thanks for the responses ! My wife is going to call the resort and order the extra bed. We stayed at WL about two years ago and got a room with a double bed and bunk beds for the kids and that was great ! I kind of wish more of the resorts would have that option available. Sleeping four in a room is fine but putting the kids together in one bed when they are used to their own is always a problem.

Nine days and counting!

We were told this Spring that they did not have roll aways at the AS resorts because of the room size...that it would make it a fire hazard. CMs told us this on two different occasions.

We were there for 4 days in April and had a roll away brought in for my daughter - made things a little tight but manageable.
