Currently I have booked a one bedroom savannah view at the AKV for 6/14-6/20. I've have also booked the ASMU family suites for 6/13. I booked at the ASMU because I am not sure if we will leave on the 13th or the 14th. So I figured it would be easier to cancel a room through CRO than it would be to cancel part of my reservation through MS, and I am borrowing points for the stay as it is.
Well, recently, I bought another 50 points so I can now use these new points and then borrow 9 points to book 6/13 in a one bedroom savanah view like the rest of my stay....if we decide to start our vacation on 6/13
If I book 6/13 will this be a new reservation or will it just be an add on to my current reservation?
The reason I ask is that if its a separate reservation then there is a chance that we'd have to move when the main reservation starts, am I correct with this?

MS will link the two reservations together so you will not need to move. If all of the dates are all still available, they can also make a new reservation for the entire stay beginning on the 13th. Before doing this though, I'd make sure you will arrive on the 13th - it's a little tougher to change a DVC reservation thsn to cancel a CRO cash reservation for the night of the 13th.

Either way, you won't need to move since they can link the two reservations together as long as they are both the same type of villa and same "view".

Enjoy! :)

This will depend on the experience of the person you get on the line as I have done it two ways:

1. Once I just called and added a day, no problem MS said fine and just added it to existing reservation.

2. Second time I tried it, the rep I talked to thought she had to cancel the one trip and rebook another which I did not want to do because it was a crowded time of year and the times might disappear between cancellation and rebooking on the phone. So I told her no and immediately told her to instead book the extra day separately, which she did. The moment that was done, I told her to link the two reservations in the system, result--it all became one reservation. Light bulbs seemed to go off on the other end of the phone.

Okay, I feel better knowing that it is possible to stay in the one room. I know that by the time we can make our decision a 1 bedroom savannah view may not be available. I'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
I am waiting for Southwest to open their June dates. We can not leave too early on Saturday because my son and his wife will have to work on the Friday before. But if we can leave late on Saturday, but not too late that would be great then we can be up and running on Sunday...and not have to change resorts or rooms would be great.
