question about 180+10

We've been to WDW but we were offsite last time so I don't know the answer to this question.

Do we get 180+10 from the day we check in OR from the day of our first ADR?

For example: We are checking in on Sept. 25th but don't have our first ADR until Sept. 26th. Can I call 180 days from the 25th and make my ADRs or 180 days from the 26th?

My understanding is that you can make it from the date of your checkin. So if you arrival is the 25th you can make it for the 25th + 10 days out.
