Which Disney restaurant has the best meatball submarine? With the recent cold weather of the Northeast, I'm in the mood for a nice meatball sub.

We had a great one at EoS in DTD

A few years ago we had one at POR CS and it was good too but I dont know if it is still on the menu

I dont know where you can get a sub but at Earl of Sandwich they have a smaller version of a meatball sandwich. they call it the Cannonballs.....and it is wicked good.......take it from someone who ATE the whole thing..
All the sandwiches there are the same price.....5.75 or something close to that...it is DELICIOUS

Pumba, you are the best. "Wicked good," spoken like a true New Englander.

Tony's in MK has them. But here in the northeast, we call them "grinders" not submarines.:upsidedow

Here in the Northeast as in NY we call them heroes ;) I was going to say the best meatball 'heroes" are at my Dads. He makes the best meatballs in the world (and we're Irish :lmao: ) I think the bread (heard its the water :confused3 ) is different thats why the pizza and subs, heroes or grinders aren't as good as home.

Strangely enough the cart at the Boardwalk has the best meatballs subs in WDW! Unfortunately they don't run that cart very efficiently & many times their subs were not ready yet or even sold to me still cold. Luckily we had a kitchen at BWV so I just heated them up in the oven, but very poor planning on their part. If you catch them at a good time....they are really excellent! :thumbsup2

Ha ha! You are all too funny with your "here in the Northeast"! HERE in the Northeast where I live [Western NY] we call them subs too! I read in someone's dining report [sorry - can't remember who] that POFQ has a great meatball sub - she said it was better than Earl of Sandwich!

Ironically, this is the place we had the absolute WORST customer service in Disney. My husband went there to get meatball subs for the gang. The kid behind the counter says, in the snottiest tone you have ever heard, "The sign isn't up. That means we don't have them now". Taken aback, my husband says, "Um, ok, we'll take chicken fingers then". The kid notices my husband has his room key out and says, "Cash only". My husband says he doesn't have enough cash at the moment, and was about to tell him he'd be back. Instead, the kid says, "Well I can't help you. Did I just ruin your day?" in an incredibly sarcastic tone, and turns his back on my husband.

Needless to say, we won't be going back there.

I agree. The people that work there are the RUDEST I have encountered. It never fails that each time I go to order something they are out of it! I have numerous complaints into DVC, BWV and WDW about the lack of fast food offereings on the Boardwalk and hte Boardwalk resort itself.

ITA. I hate the fact that there is no food court type place in that complex. The room service menu at the Boardwalk is rotten and there's nowhere that's somewhat inexpensive to go and get a quick bite.

I found the pizza window to be fast, not too expensive, and quite tasty (for Disney pizza especially). They were very nice there as well. I guess my timing was off, but I never seemed to be down around that booth when it was open, so I didn't get to experience that for myself.
