Queen, Jasmine and a Disney Virgin...will he love it like we do?

Hey there! Just wanted to pop in and get caught up and say hi. Wanted to do that this weekend but was busy fighting with my website and losing an hour of sleep on Sunday morning!

Thanks for the pics of SciFi. Heard the "show" lots of times but never really knew what the inside looked like.

Congrats to Jas on her cheering competition!

And I hope you're feeling better!

Hi Queen!! Finally got caught up...loved your updates. That is so great that Aladdin liked Sci Fi! We haven't eaten there since our honeymoon....I think we definatly have to bring Abby there! Sorry to hear that you are sick!! I hope you get better soon!!!

Yeah Liz, I'm so happy you're doing one, and I'm subbing!!! Maybe I should hold your mittens hostage and bring them with me so you HAVE to come? Is that wrong? It seems wrong, but I'll do it if it means you'll come and see us:hug:

LOL :rotfl: you are too funny my friend! I would love it if we could work out a Dismeet trip!!! :cool1:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I, unfortunately, have picked up a nasty cold....just got over a virus that went through my branch and now this.....ok enough whining. Jasmine and Aladdin are out for dinner and bowling for one of their friend's birthday's so I am just sitting here on the laptop, wrapped in my fuzzy castle blanket from WDW:lovestruc with my cup of tea and I thought I better check in.

We spent the day today at Jasmine's cheer competition and I'm very happy to tell you all they placed third. They have the provincial championships next month on the 10th so it's going to be a brutal upcoming month. Everything is starting to come together for grad and they are having their biggest fundraiser next Friday. They do a fashion show at the school so I will be sure to post pictures of that next week.\

I hope I am feeling a little more human tomorrow to actually at least get a half day posted.

Hope you all have a great weekend:yay:

No, Queen can't be ! I hope you are feeling better...drink plenty of fluids and stay wrapped in that fuzzy castle blanket...it has pixiedust:: you know! :goodvibes

:cheer2: to Jasmine!!! That's so great to hear and can't wait to see the fashion show pics!!

Feel better soon!!

Hope you start feeling better Queen!

Congrats to Jas on the cheer competition! :cheer2: Sounds like there are a lot of fun and exciting things coming up. :goodvibes

I loved your DHS update. I can't believe the rude man at Sci-Fi. It definitely takes all types. I love the enthusiasm from Aladdin. Reminds me of the first time I went and that feeling of being so amazed. As always, beautiful fun pics! :thumbsup2

Take care of yourself!

I am now, finally!! Lordy, that took a lot out of me, I did nothing all weekend after I posted....nothing! I hate being sick:sick:

I will pass on your good wishes to Jasmine!

That boy knows how to have a good time!!

Hope you feel better

:yay: for Jasmine and team! :cheer2:

I'll be looking forward to the fashion show pictures! :)

Thanks Dawn:hug: Jasmine just walked in the door and she said THANK YOU:cheer2: I have to remember and charge my camera battery before the fashion show. I'm going to leave work early that day as it's rush seating and I really want to be close to the front:banana:

Hope you feel better!

Reading your post sure helped!!! Thanks hon:hug:

Hope you feel better today.
I too am cuddled up with a blanket and tea.
:surfweb:

So much better today, I actually feel human:lmao:That blanket has magical powers I think:wizard: Thank you for thinking of me:hug:

I cannot believe that I just finished our August 2009 TR and I get to write a PTR for our next trip that is seriously right around the corner!!! We are feeling truly blessed right now that we are fortunate enough to be able to go back to our favorite place after being there only 5 months ago.

Let me first introduce you to the cast of characters that will be embarking on this journey....

First there is me Queenofallthings...I became unnaturally addicted to the World in 1998 when we went for our very first trip. I thought for so long something was wrong with me for my, lack of a better word, obsession with this place....that is until I found all of you....now I know it's perfectly ok to eat, sleep and drink Disney!!!!!

Next is my lovely and wonderful 17 year old daughter Jasmine. This trip is truly all about her (isn't everything when their 17) as she is graduating from high school in June, so now you know, that is what we are celebrating on this trip.

Finally, Thomas, Jasmine's equally wonderful 17 year old boyfriend who we love to death. They are graduating together and I thought what better way to celebrate than to take them both....the only question now was, would his parents let him go???

Here's a couple of pictures so you know who's doing all the yacking on here...

So the whole trip started out with Jasmine and I going. I asked Thomas if he thought his parents would let him go and he said he didn't think so. Being the pursuasive person that I am;)said it never hurts to ask, all they can say is no. I told him all he would be responsible for his airfare, that I would take care of everything else....what was I thinking, I clearly forgot how much a 17 year old boy eats.....:rotfl2:

I made sure the kids wouldn't miss any school as it is their semester break. When Thom first asked his dad, he instantly said no.....we were all very disappointed. The following morning, however, his mom mentioned it to him and Thomas said "Dad said no". Mama to the rescue. She talked to his dad and said what a great opportunity this would be for him.....DONE!!! We were so excited....let the planning begin.

Ok...now I need to be completely honest....I had made the reservations including him...how presumptious was that of me:lmao: I figured worst case scenerio, I take him off the room.

So, we are officially booked Jan 29 - Feb 7 at All Star Movies in a preferred room. We took advantage of that deal with the $300 gift card....I booked the first 5 days with the deal then 4 days of room only. I will add on 4 more days to the passes when we arrive:thumbsup2

I look forward to sharing this trip with all of you!!! My intentions are to get up the ADR's tomorrow...the children seem to want dinner right now:rolleyes1 God forbid they should actually make dinner......

When I read you had already made the reservations with him in the picture I laughed, it is exactly what I would have done!

I too am doing what you did, my oldest is going to be graduating this May and the only thing she has asked for , for years is going to Disney for graduation.:lovestruc So we will be down there this summer! She has no idea at this point, she was invited by her best friends family to go to Paris and I said yes. It is their graduation present to my daughter and their daughter. So I told her I guess the trip to Disney is off, but I lied! I figured for over 10 years all I heard was you "Disney for graduation", so she will get her one and only wish. It has nothing to do with my having Disney withdrawals!:rolleyes1

Hope you get to feeling better soon!!

Almost back to normal:cool1: Thanks for the good wishes

I'm joining in on your TR!
I love reading it popcorn::
Hope you feel better

So happy to have you along!! Thank you for your good wishes too:hug:

Hypermommy.....is that you? Did the virus get you....why are you being so nice....where's the ducking and running comments....please tell me what you have done with my wonderful friend! :lmao: Jas says "thanks HM....apparently they abbreviate everything these days.

I am so happy you had a great time in Disneyland....I love the pictures on FB....Abby has grown so much since we saw you in August!! Well, now that your back, we'll have to get serious about setting a date for us all to get together!!!

LOL :rotfl: you are too funny my friend! I would love it if we could work out a Dismeet trip!!! :cool1:

You got that right...that blanket is full of pixiedust and the tea I was drinking I bought at the Twinings shop in the United Kingdom at Epcot....must have sped things up:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

They went to the final shop tonight for their clothes....they will be modeling "casual" clothing!!! Should be interesting:rolleyes1 Thanks for your good wishes my friend:hug:

It was quite presumptious of me wasn't it?:lmao: I just had that sixth sense that everything was going to work out...thankfully it did:rolleyes1

Paris and Disneyworld....what a lucky girl:cutie: I can't wait to hear all about it....you will be doing a TR right;)

YAY I'm in!! What a wonderful Mommy you are!!!

Just a thought on the cake...last June I ordered DF a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery instead of through one of the restaraunts. I want to say it was only around $50 (not the $100 you mentioned) and it was to DIE for!!! Seriously the best cake I've ever had!! It was also big enough that we ate it for a few days!

I am always amazed at the information I find on these blogs as I read through.
I need to order a cake next stay for DD graduation and now I know where to get it.. I heard the bakery was good, but I had no idea about the price. I had planned on ordering at the restaurant in Canada:thumbsup2 You just made my day

I plan on it, in all of these trips we are going to be moving from Nebraska back down to Florida. So it should be an interesting time, but :laughing:I hope to get this trip out in a timely manner. My moving back to Florida has nothing do with being closer to Disney;), at least that is what I tell my family who lives in Florida too. Seriously, I do have family in Florida and it has been so hard to be this far away from them. Nebraska has been nice, but I am oh so ready to head back to the South.:) I have missed it so very much.

Nah... not a virus. I guess I was just tired. You know it takes energy to be this evil! But even I'm not evil enough to kick a friend when she's down.

Oh, but now you're feeling better? Cool!!!! It's on like Donkey Kong, baby!

I should be much less tired soon. Even though I'll be doing much, much more. Thanks to a generous uncle named Sam we should be getting a bit of a windfall in the next week or so. That, of course, translates into Disney passes!!!!!!!!!!! So I'll be over there a lot... for research purposes, of course.

So when ya coming back? I feel the need... the need to ---> drink around the world of course!!!! :drinking1:drinking1

I am to say I am very very happy for you.....and very very envious:rolleyes1 Some day I hope I can at least live there a few months out of the year....preferable Jan to Mar....it's cold!!!

MY FRIEND IS BACK.....I hardly slept last night worried about what "they" had done with you;)

How nice to have such a generous uncle:rolleyes1hey whatever gets you passes I good with. If we can swing it, September, but Jasmine has to live up to her end of the bargain. I'll keep you posted:woohoo:

Glad to hear you're feeling better! :goodvibes Can't wait to hear the official date of a September trip...I hope it's not the week of Sept. 12....have a wedding cake that day....;)

Hey Leanne!!

First of all, I cannot believe in a day it's 2 months until your trip....I am so excited for you!! I see you also booked your DVC tour....beware my dear friend....it's few and far between that attend and leave without DVC membership:lmao::lmao:

I booked my holidays on Friday and the bad news is it's the week of September 12......but the great news is.....we're going for 2 weeks!!!!!:cool1: The only way we won't come is if they don't offer free dining.....other than that, we look in good shape to make it down again!!!! It would be fantastic if you guys could make it down:hug:

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!! I am pretty excited now that I have booked the remainder of my holidays for the year.

As you can see from my previous post, we are 90% sure we will be travelling to the world again in September....the week of the 12th and 19th. We were really hoping for the 2 weeks previous to that, but my boss has taken that time and we can't be away at the same time. The deal was that if Jasmine wanted to go again, she had to pay half the costs....she said OK!!!! Now we will keep our eyes open for free dining.....no free dining....no trip:sad2:

Jasmine is still not sure what she wants to take in University in the fall so she wants to take June to December off of school, work for six months full time, save her money and start in January. Hopefully in the next few weeks she will have some idea what she wants to take.

I promise that I will have an update up tomorrow....couldn't get it up today because we were celebrating!!! Celebrating what you ask?:rolleyes1 Jasmine got a job!!! Not sure if I mentioned it before, but she was laid off in January and hasn't been working since....thankfully her mommy insisted she put money away from each paycheque and she was very disciplined over the last 2 months with her spending. She goes for health and safety training tomorrow and then next Saturday will be her first shift at the store!!!

I better head off to bed so I can get up bright and early to get my post together!!!

:yay: for another trip!! I'm sure they will offer free dining again so that shouldn't be a problem!

:woohoo:Congrats to Jasmine on finding a job!

Looking forward to another post :goodvibes

But it can be done. When you're married to Grumpy like I am and he reminds you that it'd be a better decision to buy a full time house before you buy a part time one...... well, it can be done. :rotfl2:

The only way we won't come is if they don't offer free dining.....other than that, we look in good shape to make it down again!!!!

You'd better come back down!!! Free dining or not!!!!!!!!! Remember, I've got all the grits and hushpuppies you wanna eat!

Hopefully in the next few weeks she will have some idea what she wants to take.

She'll probably change majors several times. Most kids do. And besides.... it's not so much the major that gets the doors open for you as just the fact that you can complete college. I have a History degree and I work as a computer programmer (go figure... but I guess I'm just strange, huh?)

Jasmine got a job!!!

Oh excellent!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

Can't believe that I missed this. Well I've managed to get through your first day and it seems like it was a fantastic start. I'm happy that you got the Grey Goose Slushie on the first day. A perfect way to start! :lmao:

Thanks Dawn:hug: My only disappointment is that we won't be there the same time as you:sad2:

I will pass on your congrats to Jas:banana:

And that's just wrong isn't it:lmao:I can justify just about anything....that's my problem!!
You'd better come back down!!! Free dining or not!!!!!!!!! Remember, I've got all the grits and hushpuppies you wanna eat!

How could I forget:rolleyes1I think Aladdin has told everyone they know that story:yay:

Truer words have never been spoken! I always wanted to be a hairdresser....I am a banker....how did that happen?

Oh excellent!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

I don't know who's more excited her or me!!:rotfl2:

So nice to have you back!

Once we were finished dinner and had decided we would be staying for Illuminations, the kids knew I would need my GGS....I think I might have mentioned it a time or two while planning the trip:rolleyes1 I actually consumed it on a bench across from where we all had our mini Dis-meet:cool1:
