Good morning. 41 now going to 43. Rained hard from 11 pm until at least 3.

I had a Walmart order coming, all day it kept saying 'searching for delivery driver'. I finally called the store around 8 ad she said there weren't many drivers because of the weather, that it would be delivered today instead. So, at 11:35 I get a text that the delivery driver is 2 stops away and would be here in 10 minutes. I watched for the guy, he parked across the street and walked in the dark across the street, up the steps of the bank, and up to my front door. I opened the door to take the pkgs, and asked him why he was here if they weren't delivering it until morning. He had no idea, said he picked up 10 orders and was out delivering them.
Then at 6:40 this morning I get woken up by a text from Walmart, saying my order would be delivered at 11:45 last night? They need to fix their system!

Stripped and remade the bed and that may be the only chore I do. I just feel tired and blah, holiday blues I guess.

I got a new Cricut machine and have been making a t-shirt for my upcoming Disney trip...it's very niche!

It’s a 4 night cruise to Nassau, Lighthouse Point and a day at sea. It’s out of Ft Lauderdale.

Good Saturday Morning, dear friends with love from LA. It's a cool but dry day. We have had a lot of rain. Dad, God-willing, should be able to visit much more easily today at lunchtime.

I believe today is a therapy off day for me. I am hoping one of my two regular therapists will be here tomorrow and that I will be on his schedule as indicated on an early version of my two-week therapy schedule. This coming week once again I need to advocate for myself to be sure there is not another lapse in my therapy. As long as I'm here, I should have the blessing daily and consistent therapy gives me.

Wifi here over the last month has been horrible. Dad and I get disconnected multiple times during one phone call. I do read all of your shares and thank you for them, of course. I just sometimes try to quickly post before this site starts not working due to connection issues.

Had nice holidays. Boy, they’re a lot different when you’re not working, I can say that! Always felt so rushed before, and behind the eight ball. This year I actually enjoyed everything. We keep our tree up for a little while. I find it very peaceful at night, especially with the candles in the window and the outdoor lights on, etc. I was surprised yesterday when DS’s fiancée (yes they got engaged over Christmas!) said last night they already had most of their Christmas stuff put away as she and the kids had done a lot of running around and she worked (she’s a nurse, too) Christmas Day. But I also get that people want to get things back to normal. We don’t have a lot to put away as we didn’t put a ton out. And our tree just gets covered in a bag as is. I will have to find I guess my spring decorations first, lol.

So yes, DS popped the question to his gf on Christmas Eve day, which was their big day for opening presents. He hadn’t told anyone about this at all. So I was busy chatting with my SIL in the dining room when someone said there was something they wanted me to see me in the living room. And when I went in, I realized people had noticed her ring. DS was like, “I’ve been trying to get your attention since we got here”, lol. So lots of hugs and congratulations. He told me he didn’t say anything because he was worried if she’d say no. She apparently told him she’d never say no to him in a million years. So that was sweet. No date or anything but they’ve said they want to keep it really simple when they do marry. (Glad!) It won’t be an easy road for a while when he starts commercial pilot school next year.

We had a quiet day on Christmas Day and it was nice. Then yesterday all of us went to Disney on Ice which was our big present to everyone. We had fun and it was a good show - Frozen and Encanto - but was super cold walking outside from the car to the venue! Then we came back here and opened presents with the kids, picking up some Chinese food on the way home. Was exhausted last night and fell asleep on the sofa when I got warm (with my new microwaveable neck wrap) and comfortable. I’ll add some pics. Today DH and I are meeting some old friends locally for lunch. Our kids had gone to school together and the husband was once DS’s baseball coach. He and I still keep in touch on Instagram and send funny things back and forth. So that should be nice. DD is gearing up for working this weekend and NY’s.

Toto is hanging in. Still limping. Vet stopped all his meds as he’d been vomiting and acting strangely, and that’s now better. Three weeks of twice a day doxycycline is hard on a body. He’s also on rest as much as possible. He’s been snuggling up to me most of the time for warmth. If we leave them home alone I put his sweater on him. G enjoyed the holidays, he loves having the kids and their dog here. Toto enjoys the kids, too, but not so much the other dog as she’s got frenetic energy, lol. So we just keep her away from him as much as we can and he’s ok with that.

I ended up buying myself a small air fryer. Just had to give in and get it. Kenny said he would have gotten for me for Christmas had he known but I just figured out I wanted one. He got me a wet/dry vac so I can clean up all the dead bugs in the basement! I did ask for that. Fun times!

Good morning. It is 16 now with temps heading to the mid 30s. We are expecting freezing rain overnight and then temps are supposed to go into the 40s so will then have rain. I have been out to the gym. I like the quiet Sunday morning at the gym, peaceful and less chaos. I have housework to do and then I will work a bit. Then off to Kohls for my meditative shopping time. I go there when I need to get out and just wander around. Hopefully I won't see anything to buy!

Good morning. 36 now going to 40. They say it's raining, but everything is dry outside. We have a high wind warning for tomorrow into Tuesday when the temps go back to the 50's, only to drop back down to a high of 29 on Wednesday. It's going to be a long winter.

I just dusted and vacuumed and washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, and my energy has dissipated so that will be all my chores for today. Have to find something to watch on tv.

Good luck not finding anything to buy at Kohl's @Snowysmom , especially with all the clearance sales going on, lol

It's been a busy few days as I now have the girls until tomorrow evening at least.

DD took them shopping and to a movie (Zootopia 2) in the last two days but now they are bored despite a plethora of 'stuff'.

@lynxstch - Taylor Swift - I read on the boards somewhere that there was a Taylor Swift display at DHS. I missed it completely as I didn't know about it on last visit and it goes away 2 days before my January trip. Curiosity would have brought me in as I don't follow her, or anybody much for that matter. I would like to catch Wicked though. Not super motivated to go by myself, so these things slip right by me.

@Snowysmom - Ninja airfryer was our go to. It just is so difficult to keep clean. So, I bought a new Ninja AF - it's a smaller one with glass bowls but is still in the box. I love air fryers. My new kitchen stove has an airfryer function also and it is auto when using the oven so cooks faster.

@peachiepie - One of my nieces is home for the holidays from Bristol, England where she now lives and works. She brought home Josh to meet the family but I'm too far away to see any of them.

Tried to catch all who are around and posting right now! If I missed someone, it's because you weren't on the last 3 or 4 pages!

Son's family have all been sick so haven't seen them since TG, just in pics and texts. DD is not back from the Great Plains yet. Son in law has been working so we've helped with the girls. He's doing extra side jobs to get ahead a bit.

Ninja airfryer was our go to. It just is so difficult to keep clean.

That's what we had, and I agree that it was too hard to keep clean. So I bought a new range that has the air fryer and convection built right in, gave the Ninja to Summer.

Congratulations to your son and his fiancee dear Pea. Paws and prayers for sweet Toto. Hug, I am so thankful to God that you were able to enjoy some merry fun at the ice show. You have had quite a health journey and absolutely shown faith and strength throughout. Extra hug.

Have a safe and wonderful cruise dear Bobbi. You sure have also shined through with kind faith and spirit on your own health journey. I have never been on a real cruise, only Small World and Jungle Cruise. A short 3 or 4 day cruise would be ideal though I'd probably prefer shorter being a homebody especially God-willing once I am finally back home.

I did not walk out of Kohls without a purchase. I bought a gray wool coat that was 50% off. I knew I would find something but in my defense, I have been looking for gray wool coat that was on the shorter side, like a car coat length I think it is called. Glad to hear about more holiday fun from everyone.

My turn to have a delivery issue. Amazon is usually so good about dropping packages at home right outside our door. Not today. The delivery picture showed a box not by a door in our building. I did get a full refund for which I'm most thankful. Walmart has been wonderful to get deliveries from as needed here. I had ordered a box of mini muffins with 5 pouches. There were only 4 pouches. I also got a refund on that. No big deal just a reminder to be sure you receive the full quantity of an ordered item.

Good morning. It is 38 here now with temps heading into the 40s. It is going to be rainy here all day off and on, mainly on. Kenny is coming by today or tomorrow to put together my exercise bike. Today is Ethan's birthday. He is 9. I can't believe he is that old now. Ethan says the same thing. Interestingly Ethan's birthday is the same day as my Dad's.

My plan today is to straighten up the house! Between the decorations and the Christmas gifts and everyone being home, there's just so much little clutter adding up right now. I'm not really ready to take everything down yet, but I'm hoping to at least clear some surfaces today.

Good morning. Temp is 45, it's raining lightly and the winds are starting. High wind warning until late tomorrow afternoon. Like pollyannamom, I'm clearing some of the clutter. I'm getting tired of the decorations and am ready to see them down. I'll have that done by Thursday. The only thing that will stay up until then is the tree, the rest will be put away by Wednesday.

Having an Amazon issue also. I have a pkg coming, supposedly today, yet I have 2 different tracking #'s for it. I called and they said that it gets different tracking #'s when it leaves the warehouse, well if that's true, it's never been like that before. How am I supposed to know which one is right? Neither shows as out for delivery, both say delivery date unknown, one has a shipping date of 12/26,,the other has today's date on it. No wonder so many people are complaining.

I talked to Summer yesterday, she once again did too much and is having yet another flare up. You would think she would learn to delegate to the others in the house.

Not sure what I'm doing today, but I'll find something to stay busy.
