Slow day here today! Bumping us up.

I’ve gotten a lot done on my bedroom project. Was at it today until about 1am. 😳 I wanted to keep going. Everything is done now but the closet. I cleaned and polished furniture as I went along. I even went through a lot of my jewelry but still have a lot to do. The bureau that was messy with jewelry all over the top is clean now, though. One of these days I’ll sit down and go through the rest of it and organize it a little better. I have two large ziplock bags pretty full for jewelry donations. Going through everything brought back a lot of memories. 🥹 I think I got four or five trash bags full today for clothing donations. Some of my pants were too loose. I got rid of a lot of shoes that I don’t wear anymore. I already know I have two weddings next summer so I didn’t want to give away all my dress shoes. Whether I can walk in them will be another story altogether though! :lmao: Oh, and any pantyhose I found went straight into the donation bag, lol. Done with those.

I have a doctor’s appointment in Boston today. I hope I can fall asleep.

Have a good Wednesday, everyone! 🐥 This week seems like it’s going by fast already!

QOTD: How do you store your jewelry and do you go through it regularly to get rid of things?

I have a mish mash of storage things including a jewelry box DH built for me which I keep that out on my bureau. I also have several other boxes and a couple of travel bags where I keep a lot of my Disney jewelry, but what’s in them varies by season.

Truthfully I have too much and I don’t regularly sift through it at all. But I think I’m going to start.

I’m pretty sure I bought one of those large things that goes in the wall and holds jewelry, but I’m not sure if I’ll use it. It seems to hold a lot of necklaces and that’s not what I have the most of. With me, it’s bracelets and earrings, lol. And pins. So not sure something like that will work well for those. I may just keep what I have but cull through it.

Pea You sure are keeping busy! I hope your appt goes well today.
QOTD I do have a moderate amount of jewelry. Some I have in a jewelry box that I got as a child. I have some of my mother's old things that are precious to me in that. I have various necklace boxes and ring boxes in a dresser drawer for jewelry Chris gave me. And I have some costume stuff in the dresser drawer and on top of the jewelry box. I do go through it very occasionally and get rid of some minor things. But you make me realize I need to go through it again! But, first my sock drawer.

Good morning. It is 54 now with temps heading into the mid 70s again. After work I need to go to Market Basket. Then I talk with my NH friend for a bit. Then I am off to watch Kenny's kids for a couple of hours in the early evening.

Off to another busy day at work. Now at 30 hours a week! :) Have a good day.

Good morning. Chilly start to an 82 degree day, but full sun. Calling for rain tomorrow, I'm crossing my fingers

QOTD- I'm not a big jewelry person, never was. I have a few necklaces, 2 charm bracelets, a bunch of earrings, and several rings. They are all in a small dresser top jewelry box. I can't even remember the last time I opened it, lol

Heading out to errands very shortly. I love shopping early when it's quiet and not busy at all.

Have a good day everyone.

@Pea-n-Me Good luck at your appointment

Not a jewelry wearing person but I have a lot of rings. I've gotten rid of costume jewelry by letting the grands play with and take home. Not long ago oldest DD asked what I still had. She was busy telling me what she wanted so I gave her a few items.

I still have my mother's wedding rings. Occasionally I put them on a gold chain and wear them in her memory. They are for tiny fingers.

Have a hair appointment today. It's past time to get it cut!

Oh, I have the old style Disney charm bracelets in silver. They still tarnish even keeping them and the charms in boxes. Too much work! Should have bought gold and now I know why.

I just made one for next Wednesday.

Walmart is driving me crazy. I returned a pair of pajamas that didn't fit right, and then headed for the deli, while there was no line. I stopped to get a rotisserie chicken as they had just put them out. All of them were overcooked, so I passed on those for today. They have no bologna, no ham, and no rare roast beef. They tell me they're no longer going to carry any of them. Just carrying the expensive Prima Della brand of meats for the most part. Really, a deli that carries no bologna or ham? I'm not paying $12.97 a lb for lunch meat at Walmart! The only roast beef they had was a tiny little end piece, no where near rare, so I passed and went to Martins and got my lunch meats there.

I get to the U Scan and put my refrigerator bags on the end where the plastic bags are and start scanning and putting my stuff in the bags. Male employee, maybe 20 or so, comes over and snottily says "You can't do that. You're supposed to scan stuff and put it in plastic bags." I said "I have been using these bags forever and I intend to keep using them. I'm not carrying 50 plastic bags into the house when I can carry in 3 reusable ones." He goes "I'm telling you that you can't do it." My reply was "Go get the store manager and we'll see what I can or can't do."
Manager comes over and asks what the issue is. I tell him and he looks at the employee and says "Who told you that the customer can't use their own bags?" The guy mumbled something and the manager apologized to me and told me that of course I could use my own bags. It's bad enough that they took out any space to set your groceries down before scanning them (one little soda cooler is the only space before the register), and that you have to take everything out 1 at a time out of the carriage and scan it. They're not telling me how I can bag my groceries on top of it.

My bad knee is aching like crazy today, I hope it's because rain is in the forecast. It hurts to bend it, it hurts to walk on it, and of course trash day is a day late because of the holiday so I had to gather it all and take it down to the street.
