Another day with temps near 90, then only 78 tomorrow. Sunny now, calling for storms this afternoon. It must have rained some overnight as there are puddles on the deck chairs. Tiger is sitting on the arm of one of them where it's dry, lol

Got my shopping and errands done early yesterday, I love shopping that early in the morning, so quiet and no bumping into people who are standing there looking like they are in the twilight zone, or the workers who get in everyone's way.

Returned both Amazon pkgs to Staples and have already gotten my full refund. But I'm going to have to go through it again. I had ordered a second fountain and spares, thinking the cats would love them and I could put one in another room. Waiting for it to get here so I can call and get them to send QR codes to return those also. I've never had issues returning things until lately.

Summer spent hours trying to fix the AC in the truck. She bought a new resistor, found out that it was the wrong one, had to pay $50 more for one. She needed 2 of them which she hadn't told me when I ordered her one of them and an actuator door for it on Amazon. She got those and those were right. She couldn't get one of the old resistors out, so her son got it out. Then she had to rewire them. She called last night and said now she has strong air blowing, but it's not cold air. I told her to get the AC checked, maybe it cooling stuff is low. She has to drive to Morgantown today for a RA appt. Her hands and feet are so swollen she can barely move. She's going to have to make the drive with no AC until she can get it checked. She said the truck engine is much better now that she replaced all the plugs, wires, and coil packs. I think the cracked coil pack was the cause of the misfiring cylinder ever since she went to OC and started having issues. I made her promise to get an oil change, since she hasn't had one since last Oct and she's put thousands of miles on it since then. Again, no sense of priorities.

Have a good day everyone

Lynn I hope Summer can get her car fixed. It does sound like money needs to go towards important things like her car. An oil change is so important.

Mona thinking of you.

Pea That salad looks so good.

Good morning. It is now cooler here with the temps in the 60s now and going into the mid 70s today. It is raining here now and has been since yesterday afternoon. Driving to the office was fine but coming back to the condo was difficult. It started raining when I got on the highway and all the drivers just slammed on their brakes, no slowing down easily. No one know how to drive in the rain anymore. And the ones who ride the bumper of the car in front of them are a hazard. I am so glad to not have to go into the office as much any more. I believe the next scheduled time is the last week of September. Yay! And I have a Mammogram appt in the area the same day so I get that done too while I am in the area. And Sept 1, I start 30 hours a week unless I hear differently in the meantime. Little steps to make things a bit easier for me.

Off to a busy day of work. First week of the month is crazy busy! Have a good day.

Good morning. Finally lower temps, it's 62 now going to 74. I could open the kitchen door and leave it open while I went out to feed the cats and the birds. Going down to 60 tonight. Rained hard for a couple of hours last night.

I mowed again yesterday morning. This weather is crazy for making the lawn grow.

Summer texted me a video that I couldn't figure out what it was. Now a wheel bearing on her drivers front tire went bad, and is making a horrible noise. She has to take it to the garage to have it replaced, It's one thing after the other. Her RA appt didn't go well yesterday either, now they think a lot of her symptoms are from Lupus. She just can't win

Not planning on doing much today. My back is sore, I didn't sleep well, so I'm going to take it easy.

Have a good first day of August

Good morning. Another day in the 70's and I'm loving it. The humidity is lower, the temps are lower, and you can actually breathe when you're outside. Tiger even stayed on the deck almost all day.

Summer called almost every garage around trying to get her car fixed. I don't know why she expected any of them to just tell her to bring it in and they'd fix it right away. She has an appt for this coming week. She's being very risky using it to do Walmart deliveries in the meantime. It's going to cost her another $150-200 to have it fixed, plus the parts.

Off to do Saturday morning chores, then work on vacation plans.

Have a good day

Good morning. It is such a nice cool morning so far today. I had to go take a walk and actually had to wear a light jacket. The temps were in the 50s and heading to the 70s. I am supposed to be seeing Jeff and family today but no time yet. I am one who likes to plan out my day so I think I will text him to get a time. I have been doing some housework. Later this weekend I will be looking at some Disney planning. I have a tentative plan but always like to tweak it.

Have a good Saturday.

Good morning dear friends. I have been so touched by so many bright rays from God through many people of extra live standing with and up for me. I will have another very positive update on Monday I truly believe.

Monday will also be my dad's half birthday. I will give him a card along with a couple of small gifts. He needs some extra fun. We both do.

Wishing each of you a happy Saturday. Extra hug dear PollyannaMom.

Vacation plans! Sounds wonderful! Right now, I've got three upcoming trips planned to Florida: Mid Nov, first week in Dec, and end of January into February.

Good news is biopsy coordinator called me yesterday evening to say the biopsy sample was benign! "Come back in 6 months.'
I'm in the clear on that issue.

Meanwhile trying to deal with the back pain pending my appointment with my doc next week. The MRI is still in limbo as the new facility needs an updated order before they will schedule me but I didn't find out until it was too late yesterday.

And back to vacation plans: I intend to be healthy enough to take all these trips and will get an ECV. As it stands now, I can't walk like I used to. I won't be missing much of anything as I've never enjoyed the thrill rides. That said, I do enjoy the Safari and have been able to ride so long as I'm up front. Will have to wait to see where things go with my back as right now, I would not be able to ride a safari even in the front seats. In any case my annual pass is good through almost the end of February.

The other obstacle is going alone. Not sure how I will navigate this. My one friend will do one trip, which one I'm not sure.

And switching back to the present, I haven't made it to the shore yet and it's August!! That's on me because I haven't planned anything. Of my kids and their families, youngest DD doesn't ever want to go. Son and wife, new house, not quite 7 month old, and work after taking lots of time off for son's arrival are not planning trips, and oldest DD just got back from a week in Florida so probably not going to add anything extra in the near future.

She would send her girls happily but I'm not in shape to keep up right now. They love the pools and I would be sitting by the pools for hours with them. When the parents are there it's only when I want to, but by myself I would feel bad telling them 'I just want to sit on the balcony and watch the waves.'

And they love walking on the Boardwalk and dashing into every little store looking at all the junk that's so much fun for 5 minutes to them. It's just not going to work out with them by myself this time.

Meanwhile I've hired 'a guy' to do my grass and trimming. He lifted one of my tomato pots onto my deck for me, and we (he) fenced in 3 more to try to keep the deer from tearing them up. He did a great job in the front and 'found' my roses which were disappearing in the grass. I think the deer are eating them also. In the back it was a bit wet but he mowed anyway and it is at least shorter.

My cucumber plant (on my deck) is going crazy. One plant and we harvested 9 good sized cucumbers in the last 2 weeks and there are 4 more that can be cut when needed. Plus a lot of smaller ones. Some of those will drop off but enough will survive to keep us fed. I may have to add more soil and fertilizer to keep the plant producing.
