Good morning. Another day in the 70's and I'm loving it. The humidity is lower, the temps are lower, and you can actually breathe when you're outside. Tiger even stayed on the deck almost all day.
Summer called almost every garage around trying to get her car fixed. I don't know why she expected any of them to just tell her to bring it in and they'd fix it right away. She has an appt for this coming week. She's being very risky using it to do
Walmart deliveries in the meantime. It's going to cost her another $150-200 to have it fixed, plus the parts.
Off to do Saturday morning chores, then work on vacation plans.
Have a good day

Good morning. It is such a nice cool morning so far today. I had to go take a walk and actually had to wear a light jacket. The temps were in the 50s and heading to the 70s. I am supposed to be seeing Jeff and family today but no time yet. I am one who likes to plan out my day so I think I will text him to get a time. I have been doing some housework. Later this weekend I will be looking at some Disney planning. I have a tentative plan but always like to tweak it.
Have a good Saturday.
Vacation plans! Sounds wonderful! Right now, I've got three upcoming trips planned to Florida: Mid Nov, first week in Dec, and end of January into February.
Good news is biopsy coordinator called me yesterday evening to say the biopsy sample was benign! "Come back in 6 months.'
I'm in the clear on that issue.
Meanwhile trying to deal with the back pain pending my appointment with my doc next week. The MRI is still in limbo as the new facility needs an updated order before they will schedule me but I didn't find out until it was too late yesterday.
And back to vacation plans: I intend to be healthy enough to take all these trips and will get an
ECV. As it stands now, I can't walk like I used to. I won't be missing much of anything as I've never enjoyed the thrill rides. That said, I do enjoy the Safari and have been able to ride so long as I'm up front. Will have to wait to see where things go with my back as right now, I would not be able to ride a safari even in the front seats. In any case my annual pass is good through almost the end of February.
The other obstacle is going alone. Not sure how I will navigate this. My one friend will do one trip, which one I'm not sure.
And switching back to the present, I haven't made it to the shore yet and it's August!! That's on me because I haven't planned anything. Of my kids and their families, youngest DD doesn't ever want to go. Son and wife, new house, not quite 7 month old, and work after taking lots of time off for son's arrival are not planning trips, and oldest DD just got back from a week in Florida so probably not going to add anything extra in the near future.
She would send her girls happily but I'm not in shape to keep up right now. They love the pools and I would be sitting by the pools for hours with them. When the parents are there it's only when I want to, but by myself I would feel bad telling them 'I just want to sit on the balcony and watch the waves.'
And they love walking on the Boardwalk and dashing into every little store looking at all the junk that's so much fun for 5 minutes to them. It's just not going to work out with them by myself this time.
Meanwhile I've hired 'a guy' to do my grass and trimming. He lifted one of my tomato pots onto my deck for me, and we (he) fenced in 3 more to try to keep the deer from tearing them up. He did a great job in the front and 'found' my roses which were disappearing in the grass. I think the deer are eating them also. In the back it was a bit wet but he mowed anyway and it is at least shorter.
My cucumber plant (on my deck) is going crazy. One plant and we harvested 9 good sized cucumbers in the last 2 weeks and there are 4 more that can be cut when needed. Plus a lot of smaller ones. Some of those will drop off but enough will survive to keep us fed. I may have to add more soil and fertilizer to keep the plant producing.
