EasyAs Congrats on the new grandbaby. Have fun!

Bobbiwoz Glad you had a good visit with your friend and received a special blessing.

Good morning. Another hot day on the way with temps in the 90s. Not a day to be outside. Yesterday was a busy work day and I was fine tuning my work plans with my boss during out weekly meeting. She needs to check everything with the big boss but she doesn't think there will be any problems. After being very short handed for almost a year now and finally getting in new employees that she is training, I don't think they want to be short handed again and have to train someone for my job. It is easier to have me there working fewer hours doing my unique tasks. I work hard and know my tasks well so it benefits everyone. Today may be a gym day as walking outside other than early morning is not going to happen.

Have a good day. Stay cool!

Leaving for my first test today, the breast biopsy in a few minutes. A friend is meeting me there which was nice of her.

Texting with my older brother who has been through a bunch of health issues, he said, 'we get to retirement and the money is now flowing in while we don't have to wake up to alarms or click a time clock, but all this other stuff starts to interfere'. He reminded me that our younger brother went through a year of testing, only to be declared perfectly healthy, nothing wrong. I should call him.

See ya all later!

Good morning

First--Congratulations Grandma @easyas123 Welcome to the newest Dis grandbaby 👶

Another day where the temps are higher than predicted. They said 86 yesterday and we got to 95. Same for today. 2 more hot days then rain and lower temps.
I've taken the trash down to the street, weedwacked around my flowers and rose gardens (neighbor can't tell weeds from flowers, so he does the rest of the yard and I take care of those myself), washed the car, did the windows inside and out, and vacuumed it. Washed out litterboxes and cleaned the birdbaths. Now I'm in for the rest of the day.

Have a good day everyone

Hi. I do read every now and then. Just checking the last page so I apologize if I miss someone's big news.

Got our first grandchild earlier this month, adjusting to that new normal!
Congratulations! Being a grandmom is great.

I hope your tests give you positive results. I agree with your brother. Many of Jack's and my reason for leaving the house is either a test or doctor's appt.

Quick update on my past weekend.
Sarah and I made a quick trip to Boston this weekend for my nephew's future bride's bridal shower. We flew up Saturday midday and checked into our hotel before meeting my brother and his wife for dinner.
Sunday we had breakfast at the hotel before heading to the shower. Had a lovely brunch and met the nice friends and family of bride. Then it was time to head back to the airport for our flight home. This is when our weekend took a turn for the worse. After several delays our flight, and many others, was cancelled. With no available flights Monday and Sarah’s work ethic, we rented a car and drove home. We were lucky to get a one way rental with so many people trying to do the same. A nice weekend with a story to tell.

I hope everyone stays cool

Rain was predicted for yesterday and today but so far nothing. We really need the rain. It’s hard to keep up with all the watering.

DD is scheduled for an induction 8/3. She made it within 3 weeks of her due date, which is better than expected. We sure could use some prayers, that everything goes well after all the trouble she has had.

August is going to be an incredibly busy month. I am planning a picnic for an organization that I belong to, Dd1 coming with grandchildren to visit the new baby( Dd 3years old insists the new baby cousin should be named “grape”) .
I’m also starting some new therapy to help my knee, giving dry needling a try.

My grand nieces wedding is in the beginning of September so we are finalizing plans.
My sister (the grandmother) and I are doing all the flowers( just about done), we are providing appetizers for before the dinner, and cookies for dessert for about 160 people.
Then there is the decorating. I’m happy to do it but, wish I was 20 years younger, and in not as much pain.

Best wishes to all, and prayers of healing.

Dazedx3 Prayers for your DD. How nice to have new grandbaby. Sounds like you are keeping very busy. Hope the knee therapy works.

Judique Hope you can rest today after everything yesterday and that everything is OK.

Good morning. Another hot day before it turns rainy and cooler tomorrow. It never fails, if I have to drive into the office it rains. I can predict the weather!

Have a good day.

One last day in the 90's before we start cooling off. It's muggy and foggy outside with a heat advisory again.

I'm glad we changed our vacation plans, and that we're not in HI right now with the tsunami warning happening.

Off to the market and to get errands done. I have to return 2 things to Amazon and had an issue last night. It let me select return on both, but at the end, my only option was to return one of them to UPS and my refund was $13 less than it should have been. Spent 30 minutes on the phone while she figured out how to fix the issues. I can only return one to UPS, according to Amazon, trying to do it online. But she fixed it so I can return both to Staples for a full refund (Staples is in the parking lot next to UPS, lol). So that's my first stop. I actually have 2 of the same items to return, but I was too tired last night to deal with them on the other one, so those will go back another day.

Have a good day.

Good wishes to yourself and DD as you await the new arrival!

I can live with the years, but the pain just plain hurts. And I hate medicating myself.

I did not make it through my MRI yesterday. Because of my back and neck, I could not get comfortably situated on the table to pass into the imaging area. It's not like you can force a fused bone to bend. The risk was in injuring myself further.
Anyway, the tech told me he could have me in and out of the closed MRI machine in 12 minutes, but I was so disappointed that I wasn't able to do the open one I wasn't even considering it. Didn't even try, although I've done it before.

The upside is there exists a sitting upright or standing MRI machine. Today I will give them a call and try to make that appointment. I had no idea. Several of these machines are located as close as 20 minutes to within an hour of me. Not sure of their availability but we will find out.

Meanwhile I had no pain from my biopsy. I keep expecting it but I think I'm somewhat in the clear. I figured the lidocaine worked well at first, but I woke up around midnight and then at 5 and so far no pain.

Station break - friend called and they are coming to do my yard. I am a fortunate soul.
