Good morning. Our forecast for today was originally no chance of rain, so why is it raining outside? Now it says showers ending by midday. But it's extremely muggy outside. Temp is 74 going to 86. I was outside filling the birdfeeders when I thought I felt something falling, by the time I got back to the house, it was full on rain. I was already wet, so I took the fountain out of the birdbath and brought it inside to clean it. Then I scrubbed the birdbath well, and refilled it.
Summer finally called me back after dinnertime. She sent me a video of the antifreeze coming out somewhere under the car, but in the middle of the car, not at the front. My guess is it's leaking somewhere and it's just dripping down to the lowest point before coming out. She's letting it sit for now and working on getting the truck fixed with new plugs, wires, and coil packs.
She has now convinced herself that she can get a car at Carvana. I'm thinking that's not going to work out. They have no credit to speak of. She kept texting me pics of cars she liked, saying she was qualified for $18,000. I can't convince her that qualified doesn't mean you get credit. Then she tells me she's preapproved, same thing, preapproved does not mean approved. Also, the one car she fell in love with online requires a $4500 down payment. She can't pay her rent in full, most of her utilities are behind and she can't afford to fix what she has now. She thinks they can swing a $400 monthly car payment. I reminded her that she's going to have to have more insurance, which she looked up and it would cost her $200 a month. And if he gets laid off, which happens every year for a month or more, that car payments would have to be made. Then she started with the 'if I had a co signer, I'd only have to put $500 down. I made it clear that I am not co signing for anything, nor am I giving her a $4000 downpayment, I wanted that clear right from the start.
She's decided to wait awhile and try to save up money, or wait for tax time. It's like banging my head against a brick wall trying to get her to face reality.
I did all my cleaning and laundry yesterday so today is a do nothing but relax and do something I actually want to do today
Have a good Sunday everyone
