Good morning. It is supposed to be cooler today, not as humid with temps around 80. I hope to get a walk in at the park in Kenny's town. It is near where I have errands to do. Getting ready for the trip. Jeff and family come back from the Cape tomorrow, stay one night at home, and then head out again. The timing isn't ideal for them. They spend a week each summer with Aimee's family so I only ask for some time with them too. This year it is only a few days but hoping for more next year, maybe NH. This year I do get Jeff at Disney with me for 2 days. After I am back from Legoland full steam ahead on planning the Disney trip. Tomorrow I can do ADRs so we are doing Garden Grill breakfast as Kenny wants a character meal for the kids and for dinner when Jeff is with us, Trattoria al Forno. Always wanted to try that place.

Since I virtually am tied inside mostly with this pain, I seem to be spending more time on the screen. I did see a doctor from the practice - just not my own doctor. That won't be until Tueday. Had a lot of pain again. Slept for an hour and made the decision to increase the ibuprophen dosage to see if it helps. A lot of my symptoms are consistent with Lyme but I went on Doxycycline within a day. I have the actual site, splotches on one leg, sleep disturbance, joint pain. I also have the leg pain that I was experiencing well before the tick bite. That's more consistent with my usual back problems. My hip and leg are definitely not allowing much sleep and the pain sets back in well before it's time for another pill.

Today I have a dental cleaning. It's this morning and right around the corner. If I can't tolerate the chair (which is normal for me) I may ask to semi sit up. We will see. There is only so much pain tolerance I have and I'll take the ibuprophen in advance. Maybe I'll get half cleaned. The dental procedures are not any part of the issue. It's trying to stay in position without the pain.

My doctor's office closes by 12 or 1. I may call to see if my guy came in but almost sure that's a no. I might also ask to see if I can do Monday instead of Tuesday. Not likely as he is scheduled far out. It's going to be a long weekend.

In other news I will talk to my neighbor about doing my grass and weed wacking. He's already asked me if I want him to do it just a few days ago and I said part of it as I was feeling better. That ship has sailed and now I have to get him to take money. It's a quarter acre which isn't super huge but I have so many obstacles like plants, trees and bushes. Plus my dog's potty area - maybe not so exciting for those with no pets.

I know I'm very self absorbed now, but typing this out helps me. Please bear with me.

Dear Snowysmom, I am so happy you have trip planning.

Dad did visit yesterday. Depending on how everything goes at the laundromat he may come again today. He will take either today or tomorrow off from driving here.

I am grateful for internet service this morning. The entire facility was without it last night. Seemingly small thing I have sure counted on. A huge thing (my care need), I will find out within a couple of hours if the administrator is here today or not until Monday. The sooner this is positively resolved the better!

Good almost afternoon. I just spent another hour and a half at the cell phone store, because they didn't take Don's name off the account. We had to cancel that account and open a new one for me, which the guy the other day should have known and done. Very frustrating. Then we had to cancel the old auto pay and open a new one. They'll send me a final bill for the other account thru the mail and then I can pay my new one online when it comes.

It's mostly cloudy, chance of storms after 1. Temp will only be 78 today, a nice switch for at least a day

We got home from cardiologist. Tried a new to us Italian Market in Hammonton! Got bargain prices on Blueberries and cherries, some specialties like Eggplant parm and a mozzarella salad. Looking forward to trying everything!

Then we went swimming and saw 4 friends for the first time this summer!

Next we have been invited to friends, will probably see 12 friends there. We are usually not this busy, but it feels good to be here!

I have a huge Word forever for any of you that use it. I would PM or email you 3 documents that I would want copy/pasted and made bigger in text in Word. I would need the Word documents attached to an email to me. I would need all this by tomorrow night.

I don't have a free Word trial on my phone. I am not understanding how to attach the document (it says no documents yet when I click onto Microsoft 365 it's there) to an email. I want Dad to be able to print out these things in Word without having to type them all up. It's hard to explain by phone how to copy/paste an email into Word.

Good morning. It is 56 here now with temps heading to 78. Cooler day like yesterday. So nice to walk outside again. Today I have a haircut appt. I made my ADRs for the Disney trip and got what I wanted. The 2 places were not the more popular ones. I called Disney yesterday to note on my res and Kenny's that we want rooms next to or near each other. I was only on hold for 4 minutes which was amazingly short. Kenny and I are on the Inn side of Boardwalk Inn and Jeff is on the Villa side for his 2 nights as that is all they offered when he booked. Today I will pack for Legoland and do some housework.

Good morning. Back to being near 90 today, we topped out at 78 yesterday.

I managed to get the entire lawn mowed around 1. The sky was getting darker as I finished, and I had no sooner walked back in the house when down came the rain. It did it on and off all afternoon. Around dinnertime, the sun popped back out and stayed out.

Just after 10, Summer started texting me, sending me screenshots of a conversation with her mother. Her mother wanted them to all go over Sunday for a family get together , which has Summer stumped, because her mother can't stand the husband. Anyhow, Summer had just gotten in the house. She had to go pick up Gracie from work, and when she started the Lincoln, antifreeze came gushing out, so she couldn't use the car (it was dark and no way to see if it was a busted hose), so she went to use the truck. Truck wouldn't start. Gracie got someone at work to bring her home. Summer went out with her phone flashlight and got the truck started, but when she looked under the hood, there were sparks coming from one of the plug wires. She googled it and it says something about a bad seal between the plug and the wire. So now she has to get all new plugs, wires, and coil packs, which they don't have money for. So she tells her mother all of this, and her mother's only comment was, 'when is he going to have a plan to get you a decent car?' If they had money for a decent car, they'd own one. He makes good money but their bills are all so high that they can't pay those, how can they afford a decent car? Her mother is always getting down on the husband, she's never liked him. But it sent Summer over the edge.
I told her there wasn't much I could do to help, as I'm not getting in the middle between her mother and her. All I can do is listen when she needs to vent. It calmed her down to have told me everything and she thanked me and said she was going to bed and would deal with the cars in the daylight.

Good morning!

Afraid I'm not able to help with your word doc - other than to say have you saved the docs to your phone? I try never to use my phone for anything much other than texts, pics and calls. I prefer my laptop.

Yesterday ended up being a doctor day instead of a dentist day. I needed some help with the medication for pain and the office chose to have me come in and be seen instead of a phone consultation. That overlapped my dental so I had to let it go. They will call pending any cancellations in the upcoming days. If I get pushed too far out I'll schedule and then probably pick up a cleaning from a less busy office.

Saw 'my' doctor and since I was complaining of the pain, and the med not lasting until the next round was due, they changed stuff and put me on an opiate. Turns out I couldn't tolerate it which has been the usual for me over the years. Example: after surgery giving me a dose for pain control results in projectile vomiting instead of blissful relief. This time around I managed to keep down the first and second dose until I couldn't. I know this is probably TMI so I'll try to be brief. No sleep. And no pain relief. Still not time for dose #3. And then the nausea hit. I instantly felt better although still with moderate pain.

Moving on, my doctor wants me to have an MRI of my breast. So we will do it. He's pretty thorough and wants to make sure whatever is there be identified as precisely as possible. Already had 2 MMG and an ultrasound.

And the hip and lower back xray results came to him this time while skipping my email. I won't type the stuff I don't understand, but will share the problem I do understand - Intervertebral disc space narrowing seen L5 - S1. I've been lucky with this for years and have had the pain from %$*$# for seconds but then quick recovery after a few hours. That didn't happen this time. The pain stayed.

Happy to hear folks’ good news, as well. Mona I hope you are still getting your walks in every day to keep up the progress you made, despite anything else going on there. That is paramount. I think it will be difficult to get an administrator to sign anything. I hope your Dad is doing better.

I wish Summer could afford one decent car, as well. (If I had an extra one, I’d give it to her.) @Snowysmom, I’m glad you were able to get your ADRs booked and have the trip to look forward to.

I took my first shower last night since surgery. I was afraid to because of so many incisions, they were already very sore and the thought of water hitting them wasn’t something I relished. But I got it done and it felt good to be all freshened up. I still have a drain in that will hopefully come out Tuesday. My post op appt went well this week and it was a big relief to get the very tight chest dressing off. And it looks as if some of my hair is starting to come in again, just a little bit. I didn’t lose all of it as I wore cold caps during my chemo, but it’s sparse. (I look like my grandmother, lol.) Will have to still wear the headbands for a while, and I’m going to make a hair appt for a trim so it looks decent when coming in.

Today I am venturing out to an event on the north shore, right on the water. An old friend is having a get together and I don’t want to miss out as many old friends will be there. I think it’s going to take a lot out of me since the farthest I’ve gone since surgery is to the local stores, but DD will drive me and I’ll have tomorrow to rest up. Wish me luck!

Pea It sounds like you are recovering well and your attitude is so great. Glad the bandages are off and you feel refreshed after your shower. Have fun at your friend's get together. Nice to get our and around and see old friends.

Judique Sorry you have so much going on health wise. I hope you can get the pain issue resolved so you can be more comfortable.

Lynn Summer does need one really good car instead of a few clunkers. It seems like alot of their money is going into fixing the cars.
