Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

That’s great news, Bobbi! Enjoy your time in New England! Just wanted to add to make sure you stay really well hydrated and stop frequently to get out and walk around! One of the best rest stops in NH is just over the MA border The Common Man! I love going there myself, you can get a bite to eat there and probably some fun trinkets. Have fun!

Pea That is the best rest stop in NH! It is my pit stop on my way up to my friend and North Conway. Hope you are taking care and feeling better.
Off of which highway?

We’re spending tonight in CT.

PS @bobbiwoz My DD recommends the grilled Fig, Brie and Apple sandwich (and she puts turkey on it too, because they used to make them that way in her culinary class in HS) at the Common Man stop. It’s the running joke between her and her boyfriend cause he gets something different every time and she always gets that, and he always wishes he got what she got, too, it’s so good, lol.

I love the original care bear picture dear PollyannaMom, so cute. To me the newer care bears don't look very friendly.

Dad just left after another lovely visit. We truly are so blessed to be able to see each other every day. When he gets home, if there is no message from Sonia, he will call her. We are praying to hear something by tomorrow.

I did attend a less than ten minute care meeting this morning. R and M from social services were there as was the kitchen and therapy supervisors. The 5th person was a lady who documents patient needs and status, someone called an mds according to Google. All of 5 of them agreed how easy I am. I told R that we are waiting to hear the owner's flooring response and that as soon as I had an update I would pass it onto him. He was fine with that.

To any chocolate chip mini muffin fans, dad and I both used to like Kroger brand from Ralphs. Their version of the muffins has been discontinued. We tried Enteman's which dad thought were just okay. I did not like them. We both enjoyed Walmart's Great Value brand of the mini muffins, plus they are a bargain.

Rest of afternoon and evening warm hug to all with an extra to you Pea. Thinking extra of our friend Dazed, too.

Pea  That sandwich your daughter gets sounds so good. I ate at a different Common Man once when in NH with Kenny and kids. It was really good. I like that rest stop for the gas station, rest rooms, and little shops and displays. Plus it is halfway to my NH friend.

Bobbiwoz Safe travels.

@flyingdumbo127 I hope you hear back from Sonia and get your new floors. It sounds like you are continuing to make good progress.

Good morning. It is going to be a warm day with temps in the upper 70s. I have lunch with my MA friend today. I look forward to seeing her and talking with her. Maybe there will be an update with her friend and our Sedona trip. I am glad it is Friday. I was not really into work this week so it made it feel like a long week. This weekend I am going to see Ellie in a play. She is a dragonfly in Alice in Wonderland.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Was sunny, now it's clouding, they say storms after 10, then clearing up again. It's 70 now heading for 84.

I spent almost 3 hours doing yard work yesterday, but everything is nice and neat again. I'll pay for it today, I'm stiff and sore, and tired, lol.

When Summer got home, she found out that her bedroom was also flooded. They use it as more of a storage room. She can't sleep in a bed, so she sleeps in her recliner in the living room. There were boxes and baskets of clothes in the bedroom and when it flooded, the boxes and clothes soaked up a lot of water. She has to throw everything away and take a whole load to the landfill. The landlord found out that the pipe that leads to the creek was clogged so instead of the water going to the creek, it went to the back of her house and seeped in. It's a mess. Landlord is working to get the pipe cleared.

Taking a quick trip to the PA store to pick up a few of their weekend specials, and then doing nothing. House is clean, laundry is done, and yardwork done, I earned a break, lol

Have a terrific Friday

Here we go again, severe storm warning for winds up to 60 mph. It's thundering and dumping down rain, but it's passing over us and heading away now.

We are in line for severe thunderstorms in the next couple of hours. Hope DD gets home before it hits the beltway. It's miserable driving in rain.

5:12pm Looking at weather.com it's saying 60mph gusts and quarter size hail. I need to go lower my umbrellas again.

And son's area is reporting golf ball sized hail and 70 mph winds.

And at 5:41pm it's thundering, DD is home and the rain has started. Need to do dinner as we may lose power.

5:56pm There are limbs everywhere in my yard and neighbor's yards but no actual trees down. Rain is still pouring but the sky is getting lighter. Lost cable for a minute but it came back. Still have power.

We are sitting on our porch watching the storms roll in. Rumblings of thunder all around.

It blew through pretty quick here. It went from 84 degrees to 68 degrees in an hour.

We are on watch until 10pm but that's enough for me. The trees possibly coming down onto my house from 3 different neighbors are what bothers me.
