Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

@easyas123 ,we leave for WDW on Saturday too! Just the two of us, a chance to get away for Festival of the Arts. We’ll meet good friends. Bev and I met in kindergarten and truly in all these years, we’ve never been estranged or out of touch…I think we began kindergarten in 1952. We have Storybook Dining at Artist Point with them. Next Friday we catch up with Simba’s Mom, a fellow DVC person.

Tonight I have a home sleep apnea apparatus on. First steps in my desire to learn why I wake up at least three and more often 5 times each night. My neurologist recommended I try this.

I don’t think it will be swimming weather, and unfortunately, it’s the only time this year I have a BCV reservation for us. A DS had asked for a June reservation to celebrate DDiL’s 50’th birthday and the family of 5 loves BCV as much as I do, so, I made them the two bedroom reservation.

Its 43° here, and that’s such an improvement over what we had.

Good night, friends!

Footballmouse It sounds like you had an adventure at Disney. I love all the snacks you sampled. Sorry about the flight delays and poor customer service. Unfortunately Orlando airport seems to suffer from poor customer service in many areas. Glad you did have fun at MK.

Bobbiwoz Safe and good travels to you. I hope you have an enjoyable trip.

Good morning. It is 30 now with snow showers, heading into the upper 30s with rain later. I am picking the kids up at the bus this afternoon. Kenny has a busy schedule this week as well as mediation today with the soon to be ex. I am sure this will not work out and the divorce trial will be in May. She will not compromise on all that she wants.

Off to work. I am definitely having trouble lately getting into work. Hence my reason for thinking about retirement way down the road. I am going to a program at the salt therapy place that is by a mindfulness life coach. She talks about how to make the difficult transitions in life. I may be able to get some ideas.

Have a good day.

No, I don't think so either! We are slumming it at OKW because I wasn't able to plan ahead of time in enough time to score BW or BC, our preferred resorts. I'd have paid rack rates if it was just the two of us...but since we needed three studios I went with OKW. I think it's great that you are catching up with such a long-term friend - have a great time!

That sounds like a great idea, I hope you find it helpful.

Happy Hump Day!🐪

Rainy day and night 🌧️, atleast it's going to warm up into the 50's for the rest of this week.

Came home from work yesterday and Evan and Mia was there along with an electrician. Evan started to put can lights in my livingroom ceiling back in November but couldn't figure out the goofy outlet on the wall. He finally gave up and called his electrician friend. They got it all fixed and then I asked "which switch am I supposed to use for the outside garage lights?"🤔, they both just looked at me. So, the electrician is coming back today when I get home to fix that issue.

Mia was acting a lot better. You could still see in her eyes that she was sick but she was happy and laughing.🤗

Met my friend at the library last night for the craft night. We decorated the outside of a votive candle. There were a lot of materials we could have used, I went with silk leaves and the rope.

That's about it, doing some laundry tonight so that should be fun :laundy:. Have a great day!

Good morning. We need new weathermen. They said last night would be 27, with snow turning to freezing rain. Instead it was almost 40 degrees all night. The sun is trying to come out, but they say rain by afternoon and into tomorrow, with temps near or into the 50's.
I'm going to dust and vacuum, and maybe wash the kitchen floor. My sister in law wants to go, so I decided to wait until tomorrow to do errands and grocery shopping.

Have a nice morning.

Good afternoon. Rainy but warmer here in the 40's. At least it isn't more snow and Chewie doesn't mind the rain.

My mom did not get to bring dad home thankfully. He isn't medically stable and yesterday they did a CT scan. Waiting to hear later if there is some improvement.

My daughter spoke to a surgeon she works with regarding Anthony. He definitely needs surgery, but we knew that. He doesn't recommend the procedure they wanted to do at his age but instead go into the opposite leg for a graft from that quad. He said that in his opinion the growth plates are still to open to risk damage as it can effect more than his knee. He gave her the name of a surgeon he would contact at CHOP. He said he would also want to know why he is so prone to tearing the knee like this. I hate to say it but I think that's my fault genetically. My grandmother once told me that one of my uncles was given a medical discharge during WWII because of his knees. I have had multiple surgeries on my one knee, a couple were from tears were from just walking. I do hope they can find a way to fix Anthony to keep it from happening anymore. I feel so bad for him.

Jim is seeing the doctor today to try and find out what he did when he fell 3 weeks ago. I still think it is all muscular as he was fine after he fell, I didn't even know about it for over a week. It wasn't until he couldn't go out because of the snow that he started having issues. I think walking the dog kept his muscles looser. Now he is just sitting and they tightened up. He is just going to need time for this to heal but may need to be more careful and listen to me from now on. He shouldn't be taking bulky things down stairs as his balance isn't the greatest.

If any of you have the time I started a trip report on the Trip Report forum "How are we out of Toilet Paper AGAIN?" Would love to have you stop by and comment. It's for the trip I took in June with my daughter and granddaughters. Right now there is just some background information and a few pictures.

Have a nice day

Dear Lynn:grouphug:Warmer is much better to me than colder! I do pray you are having a peaceful day and have enjoyed some cocoa. I so look forward God willung to the day we, all of us Quackers, can have cocoa together and meet :)

Huge :grouphug:Taz and so many prayers all-around. I truly send you a ton of extra ❤️

This is awful. . Summer just called me. She didn't want to scare me earlier. The high school the girls go to had a bomb threat today, and it wasn't a prank. The police, bomb squad and dogs are still there. Someone called in to the suicide hotline saying they made 3 bombs with timers out of small pressure cookers. The hotline called the police and the school. Teachers were told to do an immediate head count and then get everyone out fast. They were to to go the middle school which is just down the road from the high school. The teachers and staff were all in a panic and scaring the students more than they needed to. Staff were told they had to have someone pick them up if they didn't have their keys on them. Students who drive could leave if they had their keys. Lily's were in her book bag, in her locker. They did let Summer bring her a spare key so Gracie and Lily could get out of there. But the girls are scared, and are saying they will be afraid to go back.

The school made a post on FB about it (only post since Dec 11) instead of calling parents. Summer only knew because both girls had their phones and called her. The secretary made a comment that sounded like they had found something suspicious, but a public announcement hasn't been made and all law enforcement is there

They were told they would be called when it was safe to go in and retrieve belongings. I said from now on Lily better keep her car keys in her pocket just in case.

I don't know how the person managed to get 3 pressure cookers past the detectors and the guard, but apparently they did. Their IP address was blocked from the suicide hotline, but they said it will be cleared as soon as the dogs are done and then they will know who sent it. I hope that person gets help before they harm a lot of innocent people as well as themselves.

This one hit a little too close to home for me.

They were just given the all clear. And can go and get their belongings before 6 tonight.

Never mind- I found it. None of our kids go there.
Report said it wasn’t a credible threat, so I guess no bombs-
Thank God it turned out to be nothing. But it took them all day to determine that it wasn't credible. Still scary and those teachers and staff need more retraining in how to handle a situation like that.

Good morning. Rained lightly overnight. Most of the snow is melted. Temp is 40 now, going to mid 50's with chance of rain.

Apparently I've now adopted a pet rabbit outside. It's here in the morning when I feed the outside cats, and it shows up again at dinnertime along with the cats, lol

Going to get errands and grocery shopping done in a bit.

Girls are going back to school today, even though they're still shaken up. I hope they find out who called in the hoax.

Have a nice morning

Gracie and Lily

How are your granddaughters this morning Lynn?

Rain is doing it's thing here, and will be all day I believe. I've got a meeting at 10 then am headed down to some on site meeting this afternoon. It was so mild out I didn't even bother with a jacket this morning, I think it was 58. Tomorrow will be 65! But then back to normal after that I think.
Got a manicure & pedicure yesterday afternoon, so all I need to do is carve out a minute to pack tomorrow night and I'm all set.
Not sure about dinner tonight, but I have a small ham steak so I may make that and a bit of spicy mac & cheese w/ a salad.
