Welcome to our kind thread, Zeezy! Good morning to all with love,

Thank you all always for your continuing prayers for me. I appreciate each of you more than I can say. Last night was harder for me. I am hurting some now :( Tiger Balm, I don't think did much of anything sadly. I will be emailing the podiatrist in a bit as she had asked me last week to do so. I am just beyond praying as is my dad that by the Mercy of Gid I am well by Christmas. As I have said the thought of this extending into the new year is heart breaking. It just can't! :'( Walker definitely makes a difference and is enabling me to get stronger which I know is the key. Just so hard. :grouphug:and thanks extra to all of you!

Lynn, I totally agree that it sounds like Summer is simply young and acting out, choosing to be angry at you in her grief. Not about you at all. Also, not okay or right please tell her so! Do not ever let anyone make you, their target.

Pea, extra hug to your DD and thank you so much for everything for my dad and I. Of course thank you for you always!

Dear Snowysmom, extra love always to you as well you know that.

Please stay well and safe dear Footballmouse!

PollyannaMom, prayers your cats let you sleep more today. Sending you an extra hug.

I will come back later :)

Afternoon thread save. My feet have not been happy all day :( I'm on hold at the moment on another health-related call. We're waiting on mail. Amazon packages expected tomorrow along with possibly Zazzle as well. I truly hope each of you has been enjoying this last day of November and are well. Reminder with love dear friend to please take care of your feet! Do not ever let this happen to you please!

I truly hope each of you has been enjoying this last day of November and are well.
I spent several hours in McKinney, about an hour drive away, with my good friend, Ginger. The town has a good town square with a courthouse in the middle that has been turned into an event center/music hall. Lots of restaurants and shops surround it. Ginger and I began going to McKinney several years ago and then Covid put a stop to it. We finally decided it was time to go back. Despite the rain drizzle we enjoyed ourselves taking a look at what the stores had to offer. The square was all decorated for Christmas. Several of the stores we liked to shop in are gone, turned into boo-jie stores or just clothing which we weren't interested in. One restaurant that we always ate at is gone too. We still had a nice time though. On our way home it began to rain in earnest, we were so glad it waited until we were back in the car.

I watched Survivor after it aired. I didn't mind that the person that was voted off left. But it wasn't much of a blindside. I think that he was expecting it. My DVR cut off the little interview they show at the end of the episode. How did he take it?

I made a new to us Honey Garlic Butter Salmon tonight. So easy but way too much for us. I'm going to try it again sometime and cut down on the amount of salmon plus the honey garlic butter because neither of us eats leftover fish unless it's fried catfish. 😄

@flyingdumbo127 I hope you have been able to talk with some health professionals for guidance with your foot pain.

Lynn Busy as usual. When cleaning out you can find some interesting things. I hope you had some smiles when looking through the yearbook. I still have Chris' high school yearbook. He was very fond of it. I hope you can find some down time and do something good for yourself.

Good morning. It is 39 now and expected to go to 50 today. I will be picking up Kenny's kids at the bus today. I hope the rain holds off until they are in the house. Clifford the medium yellow dog has been chewing some of the kids' toys so I may stop and get him a nylabone to chew on. If not today, over the weekend. It sounds like he is bored and needs something other than soft dog toys.

Busy day at work. Have a good day.

Good morning. Weatherman lied. They said it would be 60's today, now it's only going to be 48 with rain. They say neear 70 tomorrow.

The company for the elliptical emailed me again, saying only one end of that axis needs to be removed. That is beyond incorrect. Both ends have to come off. You put that through the center pole, then each side of the handrails go on, and then you have to put the screws back in to hold each one on to the center pole. If one end doesn't come off, then I can only assemble one side of the handrail, lol. Just send me a new piece for Pete's sake. Then I can call Amazon and tell them not to send me another 100 lb package that I have to try and get one simple part out of and then have Fed Ex come back and take away again. It's so frustrating.

I watched another Hallmark movie last night, something about the 12 days of Christmas scavenger hunt. It was cute, but the same old same old, lol.

I ended up calling the life insurance company yesterday to find out why I hadn't received any correspondence from them. I used the automated thing and it told me there were no open claims. So I had to start all over and wait to get an actual person, why do they have to make it so difficult to do that anywhere these days? I get one person, explain everything, give all info and then they tell me they have to get me a life specialist. I have to wait on hold yet again, explain everything again, give all info again, only to be told that the reason it said there was no open claim was because it was closed, that a check had been mailed to me on Tuesday. Not certified or registered, just plain old postal mail . They trust the post office that much???? I waited for a priority mail package, with stamps I ordered from the Post Office, and it took 11 days to get here, lol! At least I know to be on the look out for it now.

Off to feed the cats, and find something to get into.

Have a great day

Happy Friday!:yay:

I work nightshift this weekend so not much of a weekend for me 😕. Sunday afternoon I'll turn the football games on and decorate the house as much as I can. I'm waiting for someone to come over and bring the Xmas tree up from the basement.🎄

Last night I watched Ghosts, the British version. I like the American version too, they're both really funny.👻

Still didn't cook last night but I definitely will tonight, I'm going to need something to take to work.🍲

Decorating the office today so I dressed down from how I usually dress for work. If I have to put up a tree, I'm wearing yoga pants and gymshoes!👟

I think that he was expecting it.
I don't think he did expect it, if so he would have played his idol. Another one going home with an idol in his pocket.

That's about it, have a great day!

Good morning, all! Charity tree-decorating went well last night, and today I need to get some more decorating done here at the house. We got the bins down as soon we were feeling up to it, but I unpacked two and the rest have been sitting in the living room.

I watched another Hallmark movie last night, something about the 12 days of Christmas scavenger hunt. It was cute, but the same old same old, lol.

I think maybe I remember that one?? I also watched a Hallmark movie yesterday - A Biltmore Christmas. I enjoyed it (but then again, I always tend to like the time-travel ones.) :santa:

I caught some episodes of the British version on a long flight home from Munich last year and it was really good! Thanks for reminding me - I'm going to have to look it back up and add it to the list.

Acupuncture appt. this afternoon for me. My husband went yesterday...our acupuncturist is back from her year+ long sabbatical. We never got around to going to a different person and we we are both glad she's seeing patients again. For us its been a game changer.

Not a whole lot on tap this weekend. Might go out on Sunday to a few nursery/christmas shop type places. Perhaps go out for breakfast or dinner. It's supposed to be mild tomorrow, so I'll probably put up my porch decorations/lights for the holiday season. Decided to keep the decor inside simpler than in years past (for example - no garland on the banisters or pencil trees up in the foyer windows) because - well because I am just not feeling like putting it up! The mantle in the sitting room has garland & lights, and that looks nice.

Dinner last night was supposed to be soft shells but someone forgot to take them out of the freezer:o - me, it was me! - so I took them out this morning for dinner tonight. Already made and in the freezer venison stew is probably going to be dinner at some point Saturday or Sunday.

Rain coming this afternoon, which is ok by me.

December healing and sheer love to all of you:grouphug: Extra, extra prayers for me please, dear friends. I was doing much better this morning until...I wasn't :'( Thank God I did sleep better last night. I am absolutely going to do all I can by His Grace to heal by this Christmas. This can't continue! Prayers please also for my beloved dad who as I have shared because of all this has taken on so much more which breaks my heart.

May each of you this December walk closer to and with Jesus anew in the Manger as Advent starts on Sunday. Know always He is with and loves you. I love you all too.

It's gray and rainy outside, so I did more cleaning in the basement. Another section cleared, another 2 contractor bags and 1 box filled for trash, and more stuff in the yard sale pile. I added Netflix last night so I'm going to go browse and find something interesting to watch or maybe take a nap. I'm tired of cleaning and this weather is making me sleepy.
Have a nice afternoon

and this weather is making me sleepy.

It's going to be a good weekend to hunker down this weekend I think. I know I was thinking all afternoon how nice it was going to be to get home and light the fire and chill out. And that is just what we did. Got lazy and had dinner in front of the TV, watching Christmas Vacation with the lights off and the fire blazing. And if I'm lucky I'll be in bed by 8:30:rolleyes:

Good foggy morning. It went to 45 overnight and will be in mid to upper 60's today. Rain tonight and tomorrow. I was in bed at midnight, (too much Netflix watching, lol), and slept until 6:30. I don't really have anything to do today, but have to find something to keep myself busy.
Nothing new to report on here, same old same old

Have a great Saturday

Good Morning. I have been up since 5:30. I did my usual morning stuff, went to Wegmans, then Hannafords to drop of a few Toys for Tots and pick up some low sodium turkey. For some reason I also picked up some flowers. The bunch has mini sunflowers and sunflowers were one of my mother's favorites. It made me think of her. I usually do not want to buy myself flowers. I had to hunt around the condo to search for where I put my vases when I unpacked. Just as I was gong to give up I had the idea to look in the cabinet above the fridge. It is too high to put anything I use on a regular basis. And there they were! I then took a walk. It is a dreary day around 48 for the temp.

I watch Hallmark movies because they are light, implausible, and not the news. The 12 Dates of Christmas was somewhat entertaining. I have not watched The Biltmore yet. I do not like time travel type of movies. I like the actors who are in it so maybe I will try to watch it. After the holidays I am going to ask Kenny to show me how to add Netflix. I want to expand my TV viewing. Since I have little else to do once I have finished work or housework for the day I may as well find some new shows. Keeping busy to get through the day gets challenging sometimes. I am reading the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo for the book club they have here at the complex. I have a feeling it may get canceled for this month as so far they have canceled 2 events due to covid and flu concerns. I wasn't going to the events. I do understand that some people have to be very careful in the winter even precovid due to the flu and other viruses. But there are those of us who want to do things. These viruses are going to be with us forever. I do understand though. If the book club gets canceled this month at least I read a book.

Have a good Saturday.

The kitties got me up at 5:00 for breakfast, so I fell back to sleep on the couch for a while after I fed them. I was up late last night because I was at a "Christmas Spectacular" (my honorary niece's dance recital) but it was so worth it! The kids did a great job, and the school got together with a grown-up choir so the songs they danced to were live, not just recordings. The costumes were fabulous (and this director goes the cute route, not the skimpy route, which I like!) The baby class was dressed as Santa's elves, and they were adorable. My friend's little girl had a perfect red sparkly costume, and the next older class had green dresses that looked like 1950's waitress outfits (their set was called "Jingle Bell Jukebox".) The oldest class did a march of the toy soldiers that was absolutely precise and amazing, and the three graduating senior girls did a beautiful toe dance in flowing white. Definitely made me feel Christmassy!

I enjoyed reading that book! So glad you have joined a group. It can be so much fun to discuss books with people. Be sure to share next months with us. I am always looking for a good book to read.

I've had another lazy Saturday. Cooked breakfast the morning. Joe helped with the bacon while I was in the shower.

Spent several hours on the phone, first talking to Joe's oldest brother about his grandchildren. Then another couple of hours with my sister about her visit to Palo Alto over Thanksgiving to see her 1st grandbaby. Then a couple loads of laundry.

I've been watching the Dynasty remake on Netflix. It's a train wreck but I can't seem to stop!

Now I have homemade Sloppy Joes simmering on the stove while my red potatoes roast in the oven.

Have a good evening!
