There are finally quite a few young families in the neighborhood again, so I'm looking forward to some very adorable costumes tonight! Last year several groups had their pups with them, so I have some doggie treats on hand as well as human candy.

Good morning. A cool one but at least it is not raining. I am going to Kenny's today for trick or treat. I would rather just stay at the condo but he asked so I will go. I guess we are supposed to get trick or treaters at the condo complex so I will just leave out a bowl of candy with a note to take 2. I have a doorbell camera so if someone decides to take the whole bowl I will see who it is.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Good morning. It got down to 33 last night and is still chilly. Only going to the 50's today. I went to take the trash down to the street, and there's a dead deer in the storm drain right next to the driveway. I wasn't sure who to call, but I didn't want to leave it there. People around here are weird and someone's liable to come along and cut the head off and leave the rest there. I called the police non emergency number after getting nothing from the city street department. They said they would have someone come out and take care of it.

Edited to add: Someone in a city truck just came in a pick up truck with mowing equipment on it and put the deer on the trailer behind it. We're in the county, so I'm surprised that they sent a city truck, but very glad they did.

Don is still asleep with his CPAP on, so I don't know how he's feeling yet. Thank you all for the wishes that he feels better.
Off to put some laundry in, make a cup of cocoa and decide what I want to do today.

Well, we've had some promising news this morning regarding a ongoing real estate situation we are in the midst of. A settlement date has been set so finger crossed we get there and beyond!

I don't celebrate traditional Halloween. May all of you who do have safe fun. Kiddos are sure adorable though, of course.

Quiet morning here. Dad is at the laundromat followed by CVS and Ralph's. we are expecting a new (older model) Canon printer from Walmart today. Our current one that we 've had for several years is done. I am also to get a Zazzle order through the mail. Keeping in prayer the foot cream recommended by Dr. E, my dentist, will sure help later. I'll update this afternoon. Wishing all a good Tuesday and last day of October.

Good morning and Happy Halloween!

DD is carving pumpkins as we realized in the fray of travel, we didn’t get any! They came out cute. Dogs are wearing just Halloween bandanas this year.



I have been searching for a new pocketbook for travel since we have a couple of trips coming up (a wedding w side trip to WDW and a baseball tournament). I realized I need one w longer straps that I can wear on my shoulder, the one I have now isn’t quite long enough and gets too heavy to lug around in my hand. I have a Disney Lounge Fly but wanted something a little dressier like my regular bag for these trips. I like Dooney’s, so scouring sites for those, and deciding whether I want plain, or Disney. Choices, choices. I tend to always lean toward Disney as I like that they’re fun, get commented on by those in the know (other Disney peeps), and somehow seem less pretentious (for me). Of course, looking for one at a good price, also. DD has one I bought her for her 18th bday that she’s been wearing for many years now (for school, work, home), and it’s finally falling apart, so she just ordered a plain one. I was shocked, lol. But she got it for a great price and I think she’s going to try to have the other repaired. Some people have “collections” and looks like I’m headed that way myself. Oh well, I don’t buy myself much, so it’s a treat!

Pea and enjoy your Thanks for bringing back the QOTD, too, my friend. I'm not much of a purse person. i do have one. One day maybe I'll get a new one lol. God willing should dad and I get to DL, a new Disney waist pack might be fun or small bag of some type. I have shared that near the Candy Cane Inn (by DL) is a wonderful souvenir shop called A Mart that a least pre pandemic had all kinds of fun things including wallets some bags, clothes, and postcards. i would definitely recommend any of you ever coming out here to check them out.

My beloved late Grandma Dolores who will be celebrating with Grandpa, Champ, others, and Christ, her 105th birthday tomorrow, loved all handbags as did my late friend from church Shirley. Both ladies always had matching purses to their outfit, especially grandma! Good memory

Oh yes! My mom and her sisters, all in the same generation as your grandma, were all about their pocketbooks! Similar to Queen Elizabeth II, same thing!

I am not a big handbag person. I do use tote bags for work, to take my laptop back and forth. I have a Vera Bradley bag now and used to have a bag with a Westie on it. I did have a Winnie the pooh one years ago. I use cross body bags for Disney and they are Vera Bradley bags.

QOTD answer - I have a couple of Disney bags, but not expensive ones. I love purses, backpacks, etc. and change them on a whim.

hmmm, no. not really. I do have a canvas/washable WDW tote bag that's a good 10-15 years old. But it's good for my overnight trips when I head down to our NC offices. I did buy two WDW reusuable totes just recently - one each for my two DIL's since we are gifting the 4 kids a trip to WDW for Christmas this year- those will go on their stockings.
I'm a bit of a stick in the mud (or PITA if you will ) about themed clothing/bags. I don't care for them. I have one T-shirt that I'll wear if I'm in WDW and that is it. I don't buy T-shirts or sweatshirts when I don't there because I know I won't wear them out & about. My husband though - he likes a good WDW T-shirt and wears one on occassion.
I have one purse, and two sling over your one shoulder type travel small purse-like bags. I don't carry my purse on a daily basis, in fact it's in the bottom on my closet as I type! I got in the very bad habit of putting my license & cards in my cell phone holder thingy and off I go...I do love being hands free, but I also recognize all I need to do is leave it/drop it somewhere and I'm up the creek. I do carry one of those across the shoulder simple smaller bags when traveling though. Good for keeping things close w/ room for my eye glass case.

Dad long safely home thanks to God. He said it is crazy out there. Our area is having a huge (not family friendly) celebration tonight. Great day to stay hunkered down inside. Waiting for packages and the mail. Have a good rest of the day everyone.

Easy as…. I’m the same way about “character” items. I don’t like them for myself but do enjoy seeing them on others. I will spend quite a lot of time in a store looking at them and enjoying them but will never buy one for myself..
We got about 2-3 inches of snow today…too early! I have been trying to find someone to plow the driveway this year, and not having much luck. It is so frustrating when service people will not return calls.
I went to my grief support meeting today. It is amazing how everyone’s journey is so different yet so much the same.

QOTD: Are you a Disney bag person and if so, what do you have?

Totally a Disney bag person here! The collection includes some Disney Dooneys of various shapes and sizes, some Vera Bradley bags, and some Loungefly backpacks. When I notice that a bag hasn't been used in a while, I pass it along to someone else. There are a LOT of Disney fans in my area, and I've met so many nice people because of my bags, e.g. orthodontist x-ray tech, dental hygienist, PCP nurse, etc. My one rule is that I won't pay full price for my Disney bags -- wait for a sale and a good coupon -- most of my bags were 50%-70% off.
