Totally a Disney bag person here! The collection includes some Disney Dooneys of various shapes and sizes, some Vera Bradley bags, and some Loungefly backpacks. When I notice that a bag hasn't been used in a while, I pass it along to someone else. There are a LOT of Disney fans in my area, and I've met so many nice people because of my bags, e.g. orthodontist x-ray tech, dental hygienist, PCP nurse, etc. My one rule is that I won't pay full price for my Disney bags -- wait for a sale and a good coupon -- most of my bags were 50%-70% off.
You sound similar to me @theluckyrabbit! I have some Vera Bradley’s too. I agree, people mention our bags in the weirdest places! But we enjoy that! @easyas123 I don’t wear a lot of Disney themed clothing, either. I have a few things like a jacket and a few tops. I don’t like the way unisex tee shirts fit me, and I think the women’s Disney tees got small and flimsy about ten or twelve years ago. DD has quite a collection, she’s always buying unique Disney things in unusual places. Just this week she got a Living With The Land sweatshirt in the mail from somewhere, lol. DH enjoys a good Disney tee shirt or button down shirt for cruising or dinners. At one time DS had quite a collection of resort tees but he doesn’t wear them anymore. I do often pick up some sort of artwork or a pillow or something for the house that reminds me of each trip. I still haven’t made a decision about which bag. I pulled out my Haunted Mansion Dooney that I’ve had for years and the straps might just work depending on how full the bag is. But I’m still looking. ;)

Tonight we made pizza and salad and watched the World Series game 4. Man, I love that stadium with the roof open, it looks so beautiful! It was closed when we went. And fun hearing Papi, ARod and Jeter bantering post game. (I don’t know how others feel about them but they are like my home team players!)

We had very few trick or treaters tonight, DD was disappointed. I’m sure because they sponsored these community events over the weekend. Did you guys have many? We always have a lot of candy at work after Halloween.

Good day everyone.

Well, we've had some promising news this morning regarding a ongoing real estate situation we are in the midst of. A settlement date has been set so finger crossed we get there and beyond!

Good morning to you as well!

Have a good time - no trick or treaters here (besides the dogs trolling for a piece of cheese in the kitchen!)

Enjoy! That reminds me - we got a new coffee machine and it came with a frother. What we are going to do with a frother I don't know but I think we will try to froth some milk at least once before tossing it - maybe I'll put it on some hot chocolate!
Haha, my Nespresso machine came with a frother which I never use but DD comes to visit and uses it every time.

I dislike it because it has to be cleaned.

Trick or treaters: we had 3. About 8pm I just left a small bowl of candy on the step. Still there.

Question of the day: I still have too many bags and I also keep buying. They range from Dooney Disney bags to Baggallini, which I love right now. I also had a Coach phase and some expensive designer names as hand me down's. LV, Mui Mui to name a couple. A couple of Marc Jacobs. Now I actually want a smaller Baggallini back pack. Haven't bought it yet, but I should have it soon as I want it for my December trip. The fabric is so resilient and the one I have is a black print which pairs with casual clothing.

I carried a small Disney Dooney for years with Minnie and Mickey on it. Got the first Disney Dooney tote when it came out years ago and had many comments in this area. It's been in the closet now for years.

Ordered a Loungefly and didn't like the feel of it, just too boxy on my back. Sent it back.

Found Magic Kingdom LF's for the girls. They like them and use them every so often.

I have to have room for quite a few things. Phone and glasses, plus a note pad and pen, although I also use my notes app on my phone for things like grocery lists. I carry quite a large wallet as well, as I like to keep a lot of cards close. I could downsize but I don't have to. I did buy a smaller travel pro back pack but it's on the shelf now. Moving on to the Baggallini one to try it out.

Bag story: my DD received a hand me down large office tote, beautiful leather, double straps, room for everything, from her Grandpa's friend who worked a government job downtown before retiring. DD is a huge bag person and moved on to something new. She passed the bag on to me and I used it to carry my stuff back and forth to work until I retired.

Fast forward to son gets married and DW is a teacher. I brought the bag on a visit, carrying it on purpose, with my smaller bag and stuff inside. DW immediately notices it and tells me she loves it, not realizing I intended to offer it to her. She was surprised and loved the hand me down gift! She carries it back and forth to work every day. I won't mind if she stops using it as all things go in phases as years ago I used a briefcase for similar purpose. I just think it's great that the bag has now served 4 of us and is still in great condition and functions well.

Dazedx3 The thought of snow makes me crazy. I hope you can find someone to plow your driveway. I hope your group helps you. All the groups in my area are church based which is great for many people but just not me. I am more spiritual.

Kenny's neighborhood had lots and lots of trick or treaters. I went out with Kenny and the kids. At least I got some steps in walking around the area. I was surprised when I got back to the condo complex and saw lots of trick or treaters. I put out a bowl which was empty when I got back. It was a large bowl filled to the top. I put a note on asking kids to take just 2 so everyone could have some. So many different costumes out there. I was disappointed that I did not see anything really cute. I love seeing little kids in cute little costumes.

Good morning. Really cold here this morning for this time of year. It is 35 and only going into the 40s today. I do plan on my usual walks, some grocery shopping, and a few other odds and ends I need to do. I have to work first of course.

Have a good day.

Enjoyed the trick-or-treaters last night - 35 kids and 6 pups! All very polite and appreciative.

The surprise hit was some party-favor size slinkies I threw in the mix.

Cutest was a toddler dressed as a big cat (leopard, cheetah, I'm never sure which) - she loved my singing jack-o-lantern and stood by the steps kind of dancing to it.

I'm back! Been sick for almost 2 weeks. When I went to urgent care last week they gave me antibiotics and a steriod but neither helped with this horrible cough so on Monday I called my doctor and she gave me something for that. I've been working from home this week but I'll head to the office tomorrow.

Passed out candy last night, went through 5 big bags. Kids stopped coming around about 7:30 so I went in and turned my light off.

Mia was a rooster last night. We had a lot of fun last week when I had her overnight. On Friday we went to Build a Bear and she got a birthday bear that we named Claire (my mom's middle name). Next we went to TJMaxx and she found a talking Mickey Mouse so of course I bought that for her. I found some fall colored socks, headbands and bows for her and 2 pairs of shoes. We stopped at Target next and found 2 more pairs of shoes. Came back to my house and we played the rest of the night. She went right down to bed at 10:00 and slept through the night. Woke up at 9:00 am and ate breakfast. Early in the afternoon we headed to the pumpkin patch and picked out a pumpkin for her to take home. My back was hurting from carrying her so I had to find a wagon to use, she had fun riding in that. I bought a loaf of banana bread that she took home.

QOTD: I bought my first loungefly back in September, the new Haunted Mansion style, and still haven't received it. It said that I was pre-ordering it but I thougth I would have had it by now. It wasn't through Loungefly and I can't find the receipt that was emailed. I'll contact my credit card company and dispute the payment since I haven't received it.

That's about it for me, off to take my medicine. Have a great day!

Good morning. We hit below freezing for the first time last night. It went down to 31, but there was no frost. They said we would have snow showers, but thankfully didn't see any flakes.

@footballmouse I hope you're feeling better now. Wow you must have had a lot of trick or treaters, as expected, not one here.

It's grocery and errand day, but I don't need very much so it shouldn't take all that long.

I don't own any Disney bags, I own very few pocketbooks at all. I tend to stick to the same one most of the time. I do have a lot of Disney shirts though. I used to buy t shirts all the time, and have a few long sleeved ones and one Tigger flannel one.

Have a great 1'st day of November!

OMG! My first trick or treater was wearing a huge dinosaur costume with a head that was half as big as they were. With the head on, the mother was holding onto them and leading them around. It was kind of ridiculous, but still a neat costume. I wouldn't subject my child to it, but the kid probably was the one who wanted it.

The other two were little guys maybe 6 or 7 and I can't even remember the costumes.

Around here, the churches have public parties. One even erects a big flashing sign just off the ramp that can be seen from the highway. I figure they are fishing for memberships as well as putting on a party for kids and parents. It's good in many ways but I like the old fashioned door to door in your neighborhood best.

That was the big costume around here this year. When our niece got married on the beach in CA, she actually walked across the sand wearing one, then took it off revealing her beautiful dress. To each their own.

Happy November to all of you with love! I so enjoyed reading many new shares this morning, what a lovely surprise. Thank you all :) Dad, thank God, is staying home today. we are expecting a couple packages. As I may have said yesterday today is my beloved late Grandma Dolores' 105th birthday. I believe with all my heart that she and Grandpa Sam are thankful to God that He made all of us friends. I sure am! Reminder to extra today tell someone who you love or care about that you do, do not wait!

Dad's postcard birthday surprise by God's Grace continues to grow well. Thank you all again so much for contributing and helping make this so special. A 11-1 update is that I would appreciate so much postcards for my dad with messages on the back from friends living in all states especially any of you residing in: Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont.

Horizontal/landscape images only please such as something like this: Happy Birthday Postcard
Any image is fine! It can indeed say Happy Birthday or be birthday related, or be of your state, a vacation you have taken, scenic, baseball related should you be a fan (Dad enjoys the Dodgers) whatever you wish.

This is what I mean by a Vertical Postcard vertical postcard that I would prefer NOT to get for this project:

Please mail me any postcards inside an envelope that is addressed to me before the middle of December. Write a message as you feel comfortable on the back to my dad! I can share if need be his first name with you via PM. I would rather not post on here. Please absolutely address him by first name only. Share how God made is friends on here. A memory of your state or special place to you in it, a trip, a simple birthday greeting anything you feel comfortable with. I do ask that each of you sign your message with, "From Your first name in City, State."

Timely reminder I would need to know today, 11-1 if you would like to contribute and would prefer me to get s postcard for you. I know postcards are not always easy to find. I have felt so badly about that. All of you know that was never my intention. I would be happy to order a postcard on Zazzle (Zazzle has most any image you can imagine) of your choice (birthday, your state, etc.) Once I got the postcard, I would mail I to you. I would then need you to please write my dad a birthday message on the back. Mail the postcard to me inside an envelope before mid-December. My free trial of Zazzle+ (no minimum for free shipping) does expire on Friday. I will be placing my order by tomorrow at the latest which is why I would need to know today! PM me including any image preferences and if I don't already have it, your complete mailing information.

Huge thank you all with all my heart for helping to make a kind difference through this surprise to both me and my beloved dad. God Bless You! Love to all of you!

Good afternoon :wave:thread save. It's not yet 2:30 here and feels timeless! Dad did briefly go out to pick up a couple library 📚We did get our expected Target 📦Waiting for Amazon and the regular mail. :hug:to all! P.S. to Kirby and anyone else who shops at Kroger. Ralph's has a digital coupon this week 18 🥚for $2.99. Dad and I only get the dozen (unless all Ralph's has are the 18 count). I know some of you buy the bigger containers. As always trying to save each of dear you some money. Have a great rest of the day all.

I should have waited until tomorrow to go shopping. I forgot it was Nov 1 and food stamps came out today. Aldi's and Walmart were both a zoo. It took forever to shop and check out. But I finally got done. I was taking a break when Summer texted me asking if Don was awake, she was out and about and wanted to stop by to say hi. I told her I didn't know, since I wasn't home. I called and he was awake, so she stopped by and was still here when I got home. She had a surgery yesterday to get samples to see if she indeed has uterine cancer. She should get the results tomorrow. She also has an appt with the foot surgeon tomorrow, along with one with the rheumatologist and has to pick her husband up from work, all in or near Morgantown WV. Any prayers for good results would be most appreciated.

I just scanned and put away all the groceries, made Don the tuna melt he requested, did dishes, cleaned out the fridge and took the trash out. Just finshed making myself an egg salad sandwich for dinner. I'm too tired to eat anything else. Don told Summer when she was here, that he wasn't going to drive anymore. This was news to me, as he never told me that. She said she can see a marked difference from how he looked a few weeks ago when she stopped by with Gracie before the homecoming dance, and not in a good way :(

I'm tired, and stressed, and still no word from the rental place about tree cutting stuff as of yet. I'm going to take a hot shower and go to bed early tonight.

Have a nice evening all

Good morning. Just found us half way down on page 2, not allowed! Quiet morning when it's 11 and no one else has checked in.

Sunny now, but it was 22 when I woke up this morning, and we had our first hard frost.

All my chores are done for the day. Last load of laundry is in the dryer now. Summer saw the foot surgeon this morning and he gave her a boot to wear. She has to have an ultrasound guided infusion into a joint in her foot. That's all I know about that for now.

The guy who's cutting the tree had his wife text me. He's going to call the rental place today and find out what's going on since they said we should hear something by Tuesday, and that was 2 days ago. Most of next week is calling for rain, including the weekend. If it can't get done in the next couple of weeks, I think I'm going to tell him to wait until Spring.

Have a nice day everyone

Had a lazy start this morning because I got home late last night from watching the twins. They seemed to have had a good Halloween 🎃

After a lot of coffee and goofing around on Instagram, I got off my duff and switched the Halloween decorations to Thanksgiving. I'm outside now with one of the cats.

There was frost on my windshield this morning. It got down to 31. Last evening Kittykitty came in to eat and did not leave until about 8 this morning. I was happy he was out of the cold but surprised. He stayed in my kitchen coffee area on a blanket on a soft chair, next to the dog. The other cats went to their respective rooms so no interactions although my female Persian does interact with him a bit. When I got up at 6ish, the whole pet family came wandering in to get fed. It's dropping to freezing again tonight so we will see what he does.

:grouphug:and please keep warm everyone in chillier weather! Glad to see some extra posts. Dad thanks to God is long safely home from morning shopping. We are waiting on the mail including an expected package.

Lynn, how is Don feeling How are dear YOU doing?💕You sure have been through so much of late :(

Pretty picture, dear PollyannaMom:hug:and thank you as always for all the love you give the twins.

Bobbiwoz hugs always to you and 🙏you and your friends enjoyed lunch. :thanks:so much for thinking of me and my dad. I could use another TN postcard with a message on it if you want to share with my dad about your trip. I'd really appreciate it so much, thank you! Prayers, of course, you have a fun and safe time.

Brr, Judique! Please stay cozy and well. Prayers of course also for your :dogdance:🐈

Have a good rest of the day, dear friends.
