Good Morning. ☔

I took a vacation day yesterday for work. I woke up and was just exhausted 😴. I haven't had a day off since Labor Day weekend, I was tired, and I needed to get things done around the house.

Slept until 8:00, cleaned my house really good, cleaned all the litter boxes, mopped the kitchen floor, and got all my ironing done. I won a big gas grill from the auction site so that will be one of Evan & Bailey's Xmas presents. I picked that up yesterday afternoon. The box was so big it wouldn't fit in my car so I had to take everything out of the box 😠. I got all the pieces put in the trunk but the big center piece of the grill wouldn't fit and it was so heavy. Luckily some man offered to help me and we got it in the backseat. Unfortunately he grabbed the grill by the top corner and cut his finger. I felt bad but then he said that he thinks it will need stiches 😳! I was mortified!!!! Hopefully he'll just suck it up and wrap it up (that's what my boys do). Anyway, I dropped it off at Evan's last night, he put everything in his garage.

Good news is that I saw Mia when I stopped at Evan's house. She's waving now so when she saw me she gave me a big smile and waved 🥰. I'm picking her up from daycare today after work. The dogs will be happy to see her.

Lynxstch - that's horrible for Summer's cat. Glad he was able to get help and hopefully he'll be back to normal.🐈‍⬛

Dad and I watched again the final Price is Right episode taped near us this afternoon. Tonight, we will watch the first new episode of season 52 from Glendale. Have any of you watched that yet?
I was able to catch the new season yesterday. The new set looks nice, I'm glad they're back to a full audience. I did hear that it's actually smaller than the Bob Barker studio.

Speaking of the Price is Right. My friend's parents went out to Cali last week just to try to get on the show. Her mom was picked and she won 👏! The show doesn't air until November.

Survivor and The Amazing Race both started last night. This season they're both 90 minutes long. You know I was in TV heaven last night!!!!🤩

Well back to work, need to catch up from yesterday. Have a great day!

Good morning. Finally a nice fall day with no chance of rain and temps in the low 70's. I'm off to do grocery shopping and errands. This afternoon I have to mow the grass. The rain we did have, plus the sun, has made it all green again and it's growing like crazy. Just when I thought I wouldn't have to mow it many more times.

Summer's cat made it through the surgery, but is having some breathing issues. When she said he was older, I didn't realize he was 13. At that age, I don't think I would have put him through all of that, but it was her choice, not mine. He may never be the same again. She's having issues with both of her cars, but instead of having them fixed, she's spending the money on the vet bills. I get that she loves the cat, but with all of her medical appointments, she has to have a dependable car. She's never been one to have her priorities straight :(

I'm going to get moving so I can get things done. Have a great day!

Good Morning!

Pea :grouphug: and many dental prayers, my friend!

Easyas:wave:and prayers you have a good Thursday!

Footballmouse, about time you had a break! Please take care of yourself, my friend:hug:Wow! How cool! Let me know if you want to share even by PM when your parent's friend will be on! I will absolutely look out for her. Dad and I tried out way back in the 90's. We never got called though.

Lynn:hug:We can only act and speak pray kindly as you sure always do. Prayers for Summer and her cat and of course always for you! I do, of course, agree with you on the poor cat.

Dad will shortly be headed off to Burbank :car:I sure pray to finally hear from Dr. Y, the podiatrist today. My poor 🦶are just not happy. Grace of God, always, they are doing better of course. This process is just very painful and slow, not fun! Take care of your feet dear friends, please!

Have a good Thursday!🌸

Good Morning

Quiet day here and I am just relaxing today. Dad is doing a little better physically but still has stamina and balance issues. I'm more concerned about the mental issues because he thinks he's in a hotel and all alone. He just wants to go home. It has been over 4 weeks now so I can't blame him. Hopefully by the end of next week.

My trip is 2 weeks from today and I am looking forward to it. The biggest issue now is I don't know what to pack - cool weather or hot weather clothes. Since it's just me I'm hoping to pack light. I know I'll be bringing home a few things as my daughter wants a Halloween popcorn bucket. Jim is looking forward to the TV all to himself for a week. He has college football and the Eagles (all football) PLUS the Phillies made the post-season.

Not much else going on here. Hope everyone has a great day.

Thread save for the early afternoon! Dad, thanks to God, is long safely home from his trip to Burbank. He was able to get so many needed things at Sprouts (🍎sauce) and a variety of stuff from Walmart🛒Costco hearing center went well, too.

Dr. Y, the podiatrist, still has not contacted me :( Dad agrees with me that regardless of whether Dr. Y received my email, she knows I want to talk to her! I realize, of course, I have only met her once. I'm not a regular patient and she has many other patients. I'm just disappointed by her seemingly lack of care. God willing, she will surprise me with a reply later.

Sweet Dreams to all!

Zip, btw, from Dr. Y :( I finished taking the last dose of the ibuprofen. It has helped some. Cool towels really don't seem to do much anymore. plain elevating at times helps more overall. Sue suggested I might look into a Dr. Scholl's machine. Free to look. Dad and I may try the Asvin bathmat as was recommended by a kind Disboard member in the Coping and Compassion thread I started. My feet absolutely always hurt after standing still in the shower. I just 🙏for greater healing in the week ahead. This really is no fun at all :( Please also know, it is not my intent, ever, to complain. I thank each of you always for all your extra prayers and love! Have a good night, dear Quacker Family :)

Happy Friday!

Wow, did it rain last night ⛈️. I picked Mia up from her sitter's house and it was coming down hard. I cringed when a car passed me going the opposite direction b/c all the water on the road splashed up on my windshield. Poor Evan was at a concert last night 🎸, they had lawn seats. I think he may have avoided it, I don't think it moved in that direction.

I have to work night shift this weekend so I'll be dragging by Sunday 🥱. My plan is to sleep until 12:30 on Sunday, watch the football game, run out to the front yard during half-time and pull the rest of the flowers out 🌷. I'm hoping the ground is soft enough that I can get my little wooden Halloween signs in the yard. After the game I'll need to run up to Kroger for a few things. I'm going to a wedding next Saturday night so I want to color my hair Sunday night.

That's about it, have a great day and a fun weekend!

Good morning. The last Friday in September. The months seem to be flying by. It's gray outside now, but they say sunny and 75 later. Today's project is putting together a new end table I bought for Don. I hope the instructions are clear, lol

Our anniversary and my birthday is this weekend, but as usual, we'll be staying home and doing nothing. I got the lawn all mowed and weedwacked yesterday. Picked up 2 more pail fulls of walnuts. This morning my legs are sore, I guess I slightly overdid it. That means I don't have to do anything today, right? lol!

Have a great day!

:bday:and Happy Anniversary weekend dear Lynn:grouphug:Please indeed do nothing WORK and everything RELAXING! Take care of yourself! Celebrate the lovely lasy you are, my friend :)

Footballmouse, please take care of yourself, too, and stay dry!

PollyannaMom:hug:Thank you for such an adorable picture!

I will be calling Dr. Y's office this morning. I have still not heard a thing from her. Even I agree this has gone on too long. Dad and I agree that it would be a good idea to first hear whether M, the receptionist, is able to acknowledge that my email from Wednesday was received. Should it not have been (and still was a wrong address) and/or should I not hear anything from Dr. Y by the end of today, absolutely by the end of Monday at the latest, I believe that will be my answer :( Dad thinks I should clearly tell M that! I pray to be kind in all, always. To me, that doesn't feel very nice. Then I remember the wise words of a late doctor, a TMJ Specialist years ago, who reminded me that I am the person putting my trust in any healthcare professional. Not to mention I am also the one paying that person! Should I not feel comfortable with them or that they are not perhaps the best match for me then that is up to me to move on from. True just hard.

Otherwise, all quiet here. Dad will soon be going to the laundromat and Ralphs. Tomorrow, thanks God, he said he is staying home. Wishing each of you a Happy Friday with love

Summer just updated me on her cat Ranger. The vet wants to send him home today. I think that's rushing it, but the longer he's there, the bigger the bill will be. She's already over $1500. People have been calling in donations to the vets office for him, and she's gotten $245 so far, plus the $500 they already paid them. But she still has a balance of $700 before they will let him leave. She's not ready for him to come home. She has to find a large dog kennel and get him a litter box and cat food. He's been a totally outdoor cat until now. All because someone was heartless and cruel and took it out on a poor defenseless animal. I hope she never finds out who did it, it won't be pretty.

Happy Friday! I got tired just reading.

But I did stop on the eastern shore and picked up some pumpkins and flowers to fix a fall basket/rectangular planter thing for my front step. They had a nice selection and the prices were reasonable.

My Halloween decor has dwindled over the years. Maybe I should do a Target run, or not.
I know I won't be buying the giant things I saw at Costco - too much ghoulishness for me!

My floor upstairs is getting finished up today. Very pleased with the results!

DD is home and mentioned lunch an hour ago. I'm still waiting.....?? I'm getting spoiled in my older years.

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary!

Lynn, wishing you a Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary! I hope the cat is ok, too.

I was in the dentist chair for three hours yesterday. I did get a crown. The process is much simpler than it used to be, all done in office now, and really impressed with how nice it came out. Saw the person who was rude but I let it go.

Headed into a work stretch. I hope everyone has a nice weekend! 🐥

Good Afternoon,

13 Days and I'm in my Happy Place for a week. Can you all tell I'm excited. Crystal is designing a Nightmare Before Christmas Shirt for me to wear to the Halloween Party.

I had to pick Mikey up from school today, they had a half day, so we went to see my day. He looks a lot better than he did last time I saw him; he even had that twinkle in his eye. His lunch came while we were there, and I don't know how good the food is but Dad inhaled it.
There is some talk he may be home in time for their anniversary on October 10. That would be the best anniversary present ever. They are going to celebrate their 68th anniversary this year. The hold-up now is the medical side as his kidney function numbers are going up again. At this point I'm not sure there is much more that can be done so let him come home.

Other than that not a lot going on around here. The weather is rainy and gray, enough to make anyone miserable. Hope you all have a great day
