Well, I clicked on the wrong thing and erased all of what I had typed!

Judique, glad you enjoyed your food truck experience. I haven't found on yet I would buy from again except for maybe Auntie Ann's Pretzels but I won't give up. Food trucks are real popular around here also. There is one that makes the rounds every month or so that has beer battered cod and beer battered french fries. I decided to try it and the cod was way overcooked, the batter was chewy but the french fries were delicious. I won't buy from them again though.

Lynn, your granddaughter is beautiful! Love the color of her dress.

Joe and I went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast this morning. I tried a new breakfast item, Breakfast Tacos. They were okay but I won't order them again.

The weather is so nice today. Low 90's for the high, we'll take it!

Happy October everyone :grouphug:

Glad you enjoyed the food truck, Judique!

God Bless Gracie, dear Lynn, lovely picture!

Kirby, may your next breakfast out be much tastier indeed!

Dad just left on morning 🛍️🛒including to get the epsom salt and go to Target and Pavilions. Dad and I are both sure praying the epsom salt helps relieve both our feet. I will absolutely share later once we have tried it! I am looking forward shortly to watching online worship. Today in a lot of churches is World Communion Sunday. Reminder to me that every day by His Mercy and Love, we are each invited anew to His table of life! What a blessing indeed and one I pray to thank Him for in kind witness and love. Love to each of you always, too, you know that :)

Good afternoon.

Just a quick hello. Dad has had a setback and is on IV's again. His kidney numbers are going up, so I think it means that he is going into failure again. Mom talks to the drs, tomorrow to get some answers. We agree that if there isn't much else they can do for him just let him come home. His mental state is more upsetting because he is getting really depressed, We are going on 6 weeks now.

Still working on getting someone to make the shirt I want for the Not So Scary Halloween Party. If I can't get it I will be OK and I'll just wear a Hocus Pocus shirt from last year. I did realize that I will be in Disney World ON the actual 100 years of Disney Anniversary, the date Walt and Roy signed their first contract and the rest is history. I am saving my shirt I got at the exhibition for that day.

Not much else going on here. Hope you all have a pleasant Sunday

Taz So sorry your father had a setback. I hope he is able to come home soon so he can be comfortable and be with his family.

@flyingdumbo127 I hope the epsom salts work for you.

@lynxstch Gracie is lovely and her dress is beautiful.

@Judique I like the idea of visiting a winery. I like to find local wines in the local stores.

@Kirby Nice to see you. I hope the weather cools down a bit for you.

I was at the condo from about 8 am to just before 2 pm. Jeff, Aimee, and the grandkids came over. The kids had fun running around checking out everything. At the old condo they were very subdued and quiet. They only came one time. I know it is easier for me to go to them but I do hope now that they have seen how different this condo is, that they come to visit at least a couple of times a year. We had Mooyah burgers for lunch. I emptied some boxes, filled my recycling bin with broken down boxes, filled my trash barrel too, and did some laundry. I ran a dishwasher load of cups and bowls. My old bedroom furniture is beat up a bit from being over 47 years old but all I am doing is putting a dresser scarf on the top and then putting items out on that. Chris and I bought this furniture together and I am not replacing it. I do have a new couch coming in 10 days and I will have to buy a new end table and 3 bar stools for the counter. But I am not going to be in a hurry for it. My brain is whirling with all I have to do so I just need to stop and take a break.

Have a good rest of the day.

 💕Snowysmom! I "liked" your post for your own wise words and of course grandkid shares! God Bless them all truly. Please take care of yourself and remember not everything has to be done at once! Dad and I will be trying the epsom salt shortly :)

Sunday miracle by the sheer Grace and Mercy of God. Nothing I did. All Glory always to Him! My feet stopped hurting 100% while soaking for about 15 minutes! I mean zero pain! Right now the tops feel a little of their usual tightness and I do also have some soreness and twinges. I think my feet are unhappy being out of there. 80%+ better overall though! I will soak once more later. Tomorrow I may try soaking three times. Once when I first get up, afternoon, and sometime before bed. I definitely need more than ever now truly supportive and padded slippers or indoor shoes. Any additional recommendations would be most appreciated. What sheer Grace to have truly rekindled new hope. God willing, falling asleep tonight will be much less painful too. How beyond blessed I am!

Glad to hear the Epsom salts did the trick!

We finally got a weekend day without rain, so DH and I worked some on closing the pool. We should be able to finish during the week.

Looks like a decent weather day today as well. I have my yearly Mammogram this afternoon. (I prefer morning appointments, but had to move this one once, so I took what I could get.)

Have a good day everyone!

@flyingdumbo127 Glad the epsom salts worked. I know my Dad used them alot.

Good morning. It is the start of close week which is a busy week at work each month. I am also trying to get things over to the condo so I can move in myself this coming weekend. Unpacking will be a slow process. So busy all around. We have the grandkids Friday night for a sleepover so Jeff and Aimee can go to a wedding together for once. 6 kiddies together will be interesting.

Have a good day.

Good Monday Morning :sunny:

Getting up to the mid-80's today, fall is definately not trying too hard to get here. Evan invited all of us down yesterday to watch the Bengals game 🏈 and to grill out on his new grill. After he got it all put together, it was a really nice grill that I grabbed for $100. I kinda wished I kept it but I know he'll use it more than I will. I'll keep looking though, grill go up for auction pretty often.

Reds lost over the weekend so they didn't make the playoffs 😕. I hate to see baseball season end but I'll survive.

All my dress orders that I made through Amazon arrived Friday 👗. After trying everything on, the first dress that I tried on earlier in the week is still the front runner. I did find a skirt in my closet that I forgot about so I ordered a new blouse in case I end up wearing that. Now I need to start returning everything.

Worked all weekend so nothing got done around the house. All the plans that I had to do for yesterday were out the window when I went to Evan's. I thought maybe I could get a few things done when I got home but I fell asleep on the couch 😴. Only thing I managed to do was color my hair. I'll just work on everything else little by little during the week.

That's about it, have a great day!

Good morning. Foggy now, but going to be mid 80's most of the week. May end up turning the ac back on again.

Cardiologist appt for me this morning, just a 6 month follow up (actually 8 since they cancelled it once and changed it another time.

I had a quiet day yesterday. Don watched football and I finally sat down and watched the new Little Mermaid, after I watched the Toy Story football game. It was cute, but not something I'd watch again.

@Snowysmom -- 6 kids all at once? You are a brave lady, lol!

Have a great Monday!

Good Morning :grouphug:and thank you all so much for all your continuing extra love and prayers! The epsom salt absolutely has made a huge difference. The only trouble is now that I know how to help my feet, I can feel much more how our hard floors are causing them continued damage :(My feet do still hurt and have trouble when not being soaked or soon after. Is there such a thing as an epsom salt lotion I could apply in between soakings? Just thought I'd ask :) I did order an amazon a pair of Easy Spirit Romy 👟are supposed to arrive by 10pm tonight. I called Easy Spirit who assured me that although these shoes say "suede," they are 100% vegan friendly. To me, this is important with any clothing I buy. I'll let you all know how I like these. Praying they fit well and are comfortable! Grandma years ago, wore both Easy Spirit and SAS shoes.

🙏and an extra hug dear PollyannaMom that your mammogram goes well and of course that the results are all healthy! Thinking extra of you, my friend. Thank you for your kind words to Snoywsmom, I completely agree!

💕extra Snowysmom. I do completely agree with PollyannaMom. 6 Grandkids will make for 6 times as precious a memory. Thank you forever for all the love you give each of them! Peaceful prayers extra to dear you this week ahead. Dad, mine that is, tried the epsom salts and said it felt good but didn't help his calluses. So grateful your Dad did benefit from them my friend.

:grouphug: Pea you just please take care of yourself and have a good day! Dad will be stocking up on epsom salts!

I'm sorry about the Reds, dear Footballmom⚾Glad you enjoyed some fun yesterday. Please take care of yourself also and get more rest, too, my friend. Always good to have clothing choices! I'm sure any of yours will look great :)

:cheer2:that you had a quiet Sunday dear Lynn! Please do that much more often. What is the Toy Story Football Game? A movie? :) I hope you enjoyed it and the Little Mermaid, too! 🙏with extra care to you as well my friend for your cardiologist appointment!

Have a good Monday everyone. I will check back later!

My appointment went well, I don't have to go back for a year,,,but the rest of the day didn't. I got outside to leave, and the car wouldn't start. Gave us something on the dash saying "Traction Control OFF, service immediately." That's happened before, but if I just pressed the okay button, the car would start and it would be fine. Not today. It just kept saying that, making clicking sounds, and then all of a sudden the battery was dead. I called the dealer who gave me the name of a tow company. They guy came and used a jump box and it fired right up so we took it to the dealer. She said it sounds like something in the transmission control module not working. Luckily its a known issue with Ford Fiesta's and it's still under warranty. She was hoping they could look at it today, but they didn't get to it. She offered to have the courtesy shuttle bring us home, but I had called Summer and she was on the way. They are going to find that issue, then do a full oil change, tire rotation etc, change the batteries in the remotes, and give us a quote to fix the heater actuator. When you start the car, you get a ticking sound for about 10 seconds and then it stops. The heater/ac/defroster all work fine, the noise is just annoying. It's another known issue of that model car. She said when it's done they can have someone bring the car back to us, or send the courtesy shuttle to bring us there to get it. That's what I get for planning to wash the car , windows, and vacuum it out today, lol!

Summer drove us home, but by then Don was tired, she went in the house to get the wheelchair in case he needed it, which she did She started to push him up the ramp, and the front wheel on the chair broke, literally snapped off the spokes of the wheel. So she backed it back down and he used the hand rails on the ramp to get up. He took the walker at the top and got in the door of the kitchen, but then went to sit down in a chair and his legs gave out, and he landed on the floor. He's a big guy, and no way can Summer and I ever get him up. I had to call 911. There must have been a dozen guys here, no idea why. They got him up and bandaged his arm that he had scraped on the chair when he fell and got him into his power lift chair in the living room. I ordered a new wheel for it, that will be here hopefully on Wednesday. He uses it around the kitchen and sits in it at the kitchen table.

I'm tired and have a headache and have to go figure something out for dinner. That's my tale of woe for the day..:(
Have a nice evening

Extra big :grouphug:Lynn! I am just so thankful of course all went well at the doctor, my friend, you know! PLEASE just relax tonight! 🙏and love always to you and Don, my friend.

Easy Spirit Romy Sneaker (Coming by 10 tonight) I got them in light pink. I just ordered these Easy Spirit Slippers I had the nicest conversation with a kind customer service lady at Easy Spirit a little while ago. She took the time and care to go to Amazon for me. She also understood that I am looking for a slipper that will be lightweight yet much more supportive and cushioned than what I have on now. Same with the sneakers. She helped me choose the slippers I did. An extra "win" is that these are cheaper than the first slippers I had considered. I'd definitely recommend Easy Spirit Customer Service. Both women I spoke to today could not have been any nicer. I am praying the shoes follow in the same footsteps! :)

❤️to all

That’s always an unsettling thing to happen, Lynn. Hoping Don is ok. Sending hugs to you. :grouphug:

Mona there is a company that analyzes feet and sells running shoes around here, it’s called Marathon Sports and people who run in the Boston Marathon shop there. When my son had shin splints he went and had his feet analyzed and he got some inserts and some good sneakers there and he hasn’t had a problem since. DH went and did the same thing and he’s had less pain when walking. Turns out both of them have flat feet and what they needed was arch support. I know they’re not cheap, but it may be a good investment for you. I believe they either can help you find some really good shoes from a distance OR they might know a similar company out your way. Think about it.

Have a good Tuesday everyone! 🐥 I have a busy week this week between work and medical appts.

There are stores like that in Southern CA, too. I think the name is Road Runners. Highly recommended by many friends, runners and non-runners alike.
