Good morning. Another cloudy morning but the sun should come out later. Just working today and trying to get through the rest of the day. The dynamics at Kenny's house sure have changed since the GF moved in. I just try to stay out of the way. Jeff and family made it safely to WDW. They have a great view from their room at the Polynesian Villas. It is just upstairs from where we stayed last year. They have a great view of Magic KIngdom.

I'm sure no matter how big Kenny's house is it now feels crowded. I read your sentiments about going to closing soon, and getting to move into your condo soon. Starting to sound like it will be a refuge for you to enjoy and that you are more content with this decision.

If it weren't so hot in Florida right now, I'd love to be at the Polynesian. I use my DVC to stay there from time to time. It was my first hotel I stayed at when we started going to Disney after my divorce. Ex went once with us while I was married and we stayed offsite. Don't think he's ever gone back.

Last of October (28th to Nov 4 or 5) I'm scheduled to go to Boardwalk. I also have a room for early December, mostly at Beach Club Villas. Still not sure if I'll go for the Halloween trip. I haven't bought a party ticket, but that's okay, I've done it before and I'm happy with not being in the park for it.

If I end up cancelling Halloween I'll probably do an extra winter trip but that will have to be pieced together. It's so annoying to me that BW is so popular now as most of my points are there and I have to fight at the eleven month point to get a room during a time period when I want to go.

Good Monday morning

Would some of you so kindly send us some rain and cooler temperatures. It did stay in the upper 90's on Wednesday but for the most part we are still looking at triple digits for the next 10 days with no rain in sight.

Same situation here in Cinti.

Worked night shift this past weekend and I am dragging this morning at work. I hit the snooze alarm and actually fell back to sleep. No iced tea or water for me this morning, I went straight to a bottle of Coke.

No plans for tonight after work, probably going to be an early bed time.

I did lay out in the pool yesterday so that was a bright spot in my day.

If it was my father and I felt as if I'd want to be there, I'd go anyway. I'd make sure she knew (and hospital staff) I was there but I'd find another area to settle in if she didn't want company. He's not just her husband. He's your father. Your kids grandfather and other people's relative as well.

This is not meant as a slam against you for not going. If it's not your thing, so be it. It just came across as selfish that your mother would not welcome your company.

Thanks for the input and I am heading over in a few minutes with an orange scone from Panera's, Hot water and tea bags and a strawberry iced tea for my mom. My parents have a unique dynamic that we are all used to in my family. Dad was once in CCU for 2 days before she thought to let us know anything and my one brother still lived at home. He never knew either. They had an us against the world thing when they were first married. My grandparents tried to annul the marriage, my parents eloped, but couldn't because they didn't tell them until she was expecting me. I came along rather quickly just shy of their 10-month anniversary. Then my grandparents tried to get me placed for adoption so they could annul the marriage.

Mom says no company but she said that when he had the cancer surgery and I know she appreciated me and my aunt sitting with her. This is just the way my mom is and I know she won't admit it but she is worried.

I'm scared because after filling in my daughter I realize that dad is critical. He can survive but at 87 years old it is scary/

dear, dear Taz, I agree with Judique! Glad you are headed over. Your presence will be of comfort to your mom and your dad, too. Most of all, I pray, being there, brings YOU and extra sense of peace at doing what you feel you should! Remember, always, God is with all of you! Please definitely update us as you are able.

Thank you so very much for all your extra care, love, and , keeping me company virtually yesterday, too, all dry here this morning. Extra grateful to God that the is over because Glenda and her husband are flying home today! Dad will shortly be going to Pavilions Tomorrow will be a normal and Ralphs Tuesday for him. Good morning!

Here I am awake again at 3:30am. Direct result this time of falling asleep about 8pm. Fortunately I had already changed into PJ's and was lounging in my room watching TV. I guess I went out like a light, since I'd again awoken after 3 yesterday. I also spent time in the sun doing yard work, went to the airport which took more time than expected.

Four Southwest planes landed close together and my friend's plane was the last to taxi up and get unloaded after landing. They had to sit for almost 45 minutes. She thinks there was some emergency with one of the earlier planes as she saw some emergency equipment. Then the luggage took more time - all four landings were on the same carousel.

DD was with the kids when I got back in, and we heated up lasagna for dinner. This was the Rana short rib lasagna from Costco. We were hungry and enjoyed it.

This afternoon I will try to take a short nap to see if I can break this sleep cycle. I'm actually wanting my morning coffee right now but will try to wait a bit. Also whenever I'm in the kitchen, cats, dog and kids soon follow me. Don't need everybody up and about this early.

Good morning. It rained like crazy last night. Now it is cloudy and hopefully will be sunny. I have the condo walkthrough today. I wish it were not this week as it is crazy busy at work. I am trying to fit in everything. I have to go to the bank this morning to get a paper notarized so that is time away from work.

Jeff and family are having fun at Disney. They said MK was very crowded yesterday. They read that the crowd levels were supposed to be lower this week but maybe people are going before the kids go back to school. It is very hot, real feel around 102. I know the older kids love Disney and Sam is following right along. They were on the train yesterday and he did not want to sit but wander all over the seats.

Happy Tuesday!

No rain in sight, but dang is it hot. Schools are already cancelling classes for the week or dismissing at noon. You would think since this has been happening for a few years now, they would go back to starting after Labor Day. But then again, that would probably make the most sense so it won't be done.

Nothing exciting happening. I was going to go see The Haunted Mansion tonight but I figured that I'd probably fall asleep during the movie, movie doesn't start until 7:00.

Snowysmom - I'm surprised that your son is seeing high crowds at Disney. Usually the last 2 weeks of August and the first part of September are a lot less crowded since schools have already gone back. We always went the week of Labor Day and it was great.

Good morning. Another sunny day, but temps low 80's. I think Summer is starting to fade away a little at a time. Everything seems to be working better this morning, internet/cable wise. I guess they were working on underground lines and messing things up.
I had a hard time falling asleep last night. It was after 2. I woke at 3 to what I thought was Don calling me for help. I ran into the living room and he was sound asleep with his respirator machine going. I have no idea what I heard. I didn't fall back asleep until almost 5 and slept till 8:15. I never sleep that late. Now I feel like I'm behind by 1 1/2 hours, lol. I took the trash down and I may not do much else. My back is aching this morning. It's going to be Icy Hot and Tylenol until it stops hurting.

Condo walkthrough went well. The water in the basement issue is resolved. It looks like it was all due to grading issues. There is even a radon system put in. They are just waiting for the fan and then it will be complete. There are a few things to do like the shower door which is coming in Thursday and a few dings and knicks here and there. Kenny tested the water faucets for temp and water flow as well as the tubs and toilets. He checked the outlets. I close Friday. I have the condo ins all set, I have a message in for the appliance place to get back to me about delivery. Left to do are get electric set up and propane account set up as well as wifi and internet. One day at a time.
