Good morning!

Warm here, as well but thankfully we don't have the humidity most of you do. Soupy/swampy weather is the worst. I remember visiting my grandma in Houston and feeling like I couldn't breathe going outside. Yuck! Stay cool and well, everyone.
Dad is off doing followed by Ralph's This afternoon, we're looking forward to watching more Price is Right--something fun to watch this summer. I am praying he will stay safely home tomorrow. No word yet from Ruth, btw, on the number 9 cakes. She may not be home yet from visiting her son. I will definitely keep all of you posted on that.

Hug, Snowysmom , I am so glad you have a relaxing spot to meditate, pray, and also talk with Chris, get a start on the day. I am sorry, of course, about the continued yucky weather.

PollyannaMom, your on a leash always makes me smile, thank you. Enjoy your walk with your neighbor, my friend. Oh no, just read your later post. Soup is wonderful for eating NOT for weather, yuck! I’m sorry.

It's 30th birthday for my youngest DD. Where did the time go?

A few people are coming by for dinner so I had to clean and tidy. At 5 I'm going to pick up dinner to serve at 6pm or whenever I get back and everyone is here.

Would have loved to eat outside but it's 96 degrees.

Friend brought by an ice cream cake. It's in my deep freeze because it was starting to melt. I think it's from Coldstone but I didn't look in the carrying bag.

Table is ready. Drinks in the refrigerator chilling. Need a nap.

She's hoping that her new attorney can do something about it. That's dealing with her ex through written medium only comes in. He can't dispute what he wrote. It's sad that parents treat their kids in this manner but it takes a lot to fight it, lots of proof. It's to the point that something bad has to happen before something can be done. And with the kids being younger, the courts don't tend to pay much attention to what they say. I'm hoping that in Frog's case, they will listen because at least one if not two of them are older. Mine are 6 and 4.

Saying a prayer! Had a similar situation with my ex. Sooo smart to only engage in written communication so there is a trail and to have an attorney. It also takes some of their attempts to control and manipulate away.

I'm getting a typhoid and polio shot tonight (/crosses fingers that Walgreens did order them and put them aside like I requested)

You've inspired me to talk to my Dr. at my next physical to go over my inoculations and see if I need a top-off of anything. I'm turning 50 later this year and I am planning on getting the shingles vaccine for myself for my birthday!!!

hat one night in Orlando...I am trying to get us a spot at Homecoming for dinner, lol.

Oh - I'd love to hear how it is if you get in. I think my husband would like that place next time we are in the "neighborhood".

Congrats! What DVC are you buying into? We have stayed at BW, BC, WL, Bay Lake, KW, SS and one night at AK. Poly, GF and Riviera are next on our list to round out our stays at DVC resorts. Well I hope your contract goes thru!


Whew - long day. Nothing exciting, just a long day. I threw in the towel and made a crap meal for my husband and youngest of fries & chicken wings. Sautéed squash on the side. Wine for me, I'm not hungry. Maybe a piece of toast later? Anyway - I'm keeping with the 'clear out the freezer' theme since the wings were in there! Not sure what tomorrow is but I have some chicken breast and some vindaloo sauce that I want to try, so that may be on tap for tomorrow. I had a late lunch, was on the road mid day unexpectedly. I think I need to head down towards the shore on Thursday or Friday to drop some stuff off at a jobsite, hope shore traffic isn't to bad.

They are calling for T-storms tomorrow evening around here. I hope so, I could go for a storm and also I wouldn't have to water!

Time for our evening meander around the yard w/ the mutts. Have a good evening everyone -

We are still shopping for a new grill. We need to get a new one soon, just haven't found the right one yet.

Thank you everyone.

After waiting 4 hours we left. In that time ONE person was taken back to be seen. My daughter will take my grandson to the pediatrician in the morning and probably head to Urgent Care for herself. They both have stiff and sore necks, so definitely whiplash type injuries. The guy who hit her totaled his car. Thank GOD she was in her jeep. There is some damage, but she has a huge tire that absorbed a lot of the impact.

I am filing a complaint with the fire department. Fire Rescue was called and even though she said they both had neck pain, the EMT's told her to go to Urgent Care without even checking them. He went right to the other car to check on the child in the car seat and transported her to the ER. They were out in less than an hour. I'm not saying the child shouldn't have been checked but my daughter and grandson's injuries should not have been dismissed so lightly.

I am exhausted and think I am in for a long day tomorrow because my daughter may not be able to drive. I told her to call me and I would help out. My youngest is stubborn though, and may do it all herself.

@easyas123 Things never go the way they should for me. Handyman went to Lowes and picked up the door..and they ordered the wrong one. They gave us an extended jamb door,,which is 2" too big for the opening. Spent 2 hours on the phone with them..they haven't got the right door, can't get one until middle of Sept. And the one store that has 2, won't deliver more than 70 miles. Handyman is going to get a new blade for his saw, and cut the jamb down and make it fit. It has to be done before he has surgery, and there are no other doors like we want. I have a headache..am having a snack and going to bed..goodnite all

We are buying at Poly! I have stayed for just a night or two at a time, paying cash as a FL resident or by renting points, at Contemporary, WL, OKW, AKL, BCV, PVB and BWV over the last 10 years. Every time I have stayed I’ve considered buying but until now, haven’t had the funds. Thank God for all the good things!

@easyas123 It is nice to travel with grown kids. This fall will be the 11 of us, my 2 DSs, 2 DDILS, 6 grandkiddies, and me. It will be chaotic for sure but it will be nice to see happy grandkiddies having fun.

Cloudy and cool here today. It was nice to walk and feel a bit cool. Off to work. IT is trying to fix my spreadsheet issue but no luck so far.

Rained over night and expecting some this afternoon. Hopefully it will either have stopped or not started until I get home from work.

Didn't do anything last night. Took the dogs for a short walk (one at a time) when I got home . They both did really well so I might keep up the short walks this week and next week hit up a park. I need to get a cover for my back seats first, I don't want them to rip the seats in my car.

Taz - hope your dd and dgs are doing okay today, I'm sure they're going to be pretty sore today and tomorrow.

Now they say we will only get to 84 today, but chance of strong storms this afternoon. So much for getting the lawn mowed when we get home from grocery shopping and errands. I would have mowed last nite, but my gas cans were both empty and I was so done after the handyman left with the door still in his truck. Now he has to make another trip over here to drop the door off , put it in the shed with the others, and then come back tomorrow when it's cooler to start installing. Guess I will have to corral the inside cats into a bedroom as the doors will be off and the opening wide open for a short time. Also have to put a gate up to keep the outside cats outside, lol.

@tazdev3225 --that is awful about the first responders and how they acted at the accident. I hope your DD and grandson have nothing other than a little whiplash, which is bad enough in itself

Off to take the trash down to the curb, bring in the paper, and get ready for the day
