Great photo
@PollyannaMom
@frog3101 Sorry you are having a rough time with this.
@Snowysmom That's a good deal for all that produce. I love going to farmer's markets; there's one that is about 20 minutes from us, but it's more crafts and company booths (and honestly, we won't go there because several of the booths are hardcore political in nature). There are two more, that are much better, but they are about 30-45 minutes from us. Maybe we'll go next weekend. They both have permanent booths that people rent; one is every day but the majority of the items come in on the weekends, and the other is Saturdays only, but it also has food trucks and the products there seem to be higher quality.
@flyingdumbo127 I like the bowl
@Pea-n-Me Cute socks!
Thanks, everyone, for the ideas on where to go. I think DH and I are going to do some research into TN!
Yesterday, I got the front yard mowed; DS got up and weedwacked it for me. I'm glad he did, because about 5 minutes after we finished, the heavens opened and we had pouring rain all day! Pretty heavy thunder too. If he hadn't helped, I would have been just starting weedwacking when the rain started, and it never would have gotten done! We cannot do the backyard today, as there is standing water, from so much

yesterday!
@footballmouse You can have our rain for the next few days! Those cookies sound like something DH might like; he really likes thin crispy cookies, unless it's my chocolate chip, or oatmeal cinnamon chip, or sugar cookies. LOL
The house is clean; I do have a couple small loads of laundry I can do, I suppose... Watching the hearings tonight, I think; DH is working late again. He is having to fix a couple of projects that another drafter/designer and engineer did. A few months ago, they asked DH to take a look at what they were planning, before they started; and he told them then that it was being done wrong. The client wanted more houses laid out in that subdivision; DH told them that the grading was set for a smaller number of houses, and to tell the client they were at the max for that sized subdivision. They argued that the client wanted it that way, and he told them they had to tell the client no, because it would not work. Well, they went ahead with what the client wanted, and guess what? Now that the work is starting....it doesn't work! So, now DH has to work on this project, in addition to the other 10 he has already, to adjust the plans back to the original, correct setup. Dinner tonight is hot dogs, fries, and salad.
I posted on FB Marketplace that I have 3 small boxes of
school supplies for someone to come get for free; and I must have had 100 replies in less than 3 hours.

I ignored the first one, as it was clearly a bot; and asked the 2nd if they can come by today or tomorrow to get them. I did check their profile, and it's an older one, with pictures and posts of kids in various stages over the last 7 years, so I am sure they are a real person; I did say in the post that I didn't want this stuff to go to a reseller, but to a family that needed a boost of stuff for the school year. Not that any of the stuff is worth big bucks; it's a lot of composition books and looseleaf paper; pencils and crayons and colored pencils, some craft supplies like mini pompom balls and googly eyes, etc....all brand new (or almost brand new; there are two pencil cases filled with barely used colored and regular pencils for example; and a bunch of kid sized safety scissors). For years, I would hit the before school and clearance sales for school supplies and crafts for the kids and DH's scouts; but we don't need all that stuff anymore, with the kids grown up. It would cost more than it's all worth to ship to either of my girls, so it just makes sense to help someone out here. We did send the girls each $20 to help defray some of the school supply costs they have this year. I still kept about a third of what we had in the storage bins, because we can always use some paper or pencils.
Today is DGS#3's 6th birthday! He had his birthday party at a bouncy trampoline place last weekend with his friends; today is just him and his family. He'll get our gifts today along with the bike that DD#1 crowdsourced to buy. [The girls have decided that their kids don't need a bunch of toys this year, and have asked family/friends to instead chip in on a big gift for them. DGS#2 got a trampoline w/safety netting and a small blowup pool for his bday in March; DGS#3 is getting a new BMX bike and a new helmet/knee/elbow pads. We chipped in $20 for each, and then sent more gifts, because it's Mimi and Pop's jobs to spoil the grandbabies.
Have a good day y'all!
