Hooray for quick and easy shopping, Lynn! Prayers all went well also with Mr. L's appointment.

Still cool (for me) here and overcast. I'm ready for summer :sunny:No complaints, of course. So truly grateful for each day.

Amazon reminder to not ever wait to place an order because prices go up throughout the day :P Grab something when you see it at a price you are willing to spend.

Dad was able to use my birthday extra 5% at Target this morning. Remember during your birthday month to be sure you are signed up for Target Circle and have added your birthday. The extra 5% is on top of the regular Red Card 5%.

Have a great afternoon, everyone.

Thanks Mona,,but no appt for Mr L till Monday. Today was just the lab work for that appt

Just got a text from younger stepson. One of our grandaughters is graduating from high school. No way can Mr L make the trip to Salisbury. But her school is live streaming it on their youtube channel, so we will still be able to see her graduate!~ :)

The condo closing is done. It took all of 10 minutes. I dropped some things off at the condo. I will say right now I am wondering how I am going to live there. I know I am sad and very stressed so it will take time for me to get used to all this. I just talked with my friend who went to NH with me and she said that ever since this started everything has been changing and I have been so busy. Maybe once I settle in a bit it will be easier.

My DDIL had a doctor appt today and if she does not go into labor between now and Saturday morning she will be induced. So, new grandbaby will be here by this weekend. I told my son he does not have to help me with the movers. He said he will probably come to the condo to help which is only 10 minutes from his house. That is if the baby is not imminent or here. I will take care of the move from the house myself. I am overwhelmed by doing that but, I have to just stand up and do it. I knew this week was going to be hard but boy, I did not realize just how hard it is.

How exciting, Lynn and much congratulations to your Grand-daughter! :grouphug:I am so thankful and glad you and Mr. L will get to watch her graduate from the comfort and safety of your own home :) Monday prayers in advance, too.

:grouphug::grouphug:Snowysom, what day to you actually move? Prayers, so many prayers, that you come to know how courageous you are and always will be! Big prayers also that once you are actually moved and more settled, greater peace will indeed come over you. I truly believe it will. So much chaos and turmoil, back and forth, right now on top of course raw grief! :( Much ❤️ and then some, my friend.

I hope baseball practice is going well, PollyannaMom and that the kiddos are having fun⚾ Thanks for checking in with us. Just wanted to be sure you were okay :)

Busy day starting a busy week.

Today is Carter's 2nd Birthday. DD took him to a trampoline park this morning for Little Leapers, only kids 5 and under allowed. DH and I went to watch. DH and I mowed the grass and burned sticks in the firepit.

Tomorrow we are all going to Strasburg Railroad. (DD, her DH, the kids, and my DH) For Christmas , we gave them an IOU to take them on the train and tomorrow is the day.

Not sure what Friday will bring, maybe the beach. Saturday we are watching the kids so DD and DSIL can clean their house and get it ready for Sunday and for the realtor to list it. Sunday is Carter's family birthday party. DS, DDIL, and Martin plus DD's in-laws will be there. DS has instructions to take any baby things he wants because DD said she isn't moving them.

The condo closing is done.
Congratulations! I hope you get to enjoy your new home.

Good night everyone.

Rise and shine!! :sunny:

Rain came through late yesterday should be sunny today but getting hotter. I think I might break down and turn the AC on tonight, tomorrow is expected in the 90's and I'll be working from home.

Happy with Survivor outcome last night. The person that got voted off needed to, he was such a troublemaker. :cheer2:

I was thinking of going back to the gym and trying the exercise classes. Tonight they have a cycling class that I thought I might like. They have another one tomorrow morning at 6:00 am, I figured since I'm working from home on Friday's I could also go to that one. I'm very nervous to start this, I'm afraid I won't be able to keep up or I won't be able to hang in there for the full 45 minute class. I just have to go and see what it's like. They always say, the first step is the hardest.

I brought something new today for lunch. It's a hot pocket with broccoli, cheese and potatoes. Not sure if I'll like it, if I don't I can always run over to the cafe and grab something.

That's all I have for this morning. Everyone have a great day! :)

Good morning everyone! Rained again overnite, but calling for sun and 80 today. Heat wave comes in tomorrow through Sunday, temps near 95. AC will be going on for the first time this season for sure.
@footballmouse I haven't seen Survivor yet, but from what you said, I can pretty much guess who went home, and that my favorite is still there, lol!
@Snowysmom I can't believe that Carter is already turning 2. He wasn't even born yet when this thread was started! Hope he has a great birthday, and have fun on the train ride

No plans for the day yet. Just 1 load of laundry needs to be done--so it might be a lazy day, lol. I don't seen to get many of those lately.

Have a wonderful day all,,take a minute or 2 to do something for yourselves!

Morning all.

Let's see, today's agenda: a load of laundry and cleaning the bedding. I wanted to run up to Fresh Market and load up on their meat specials for the month, but with the regular freezer acting wonky, I don't have room in the deep freeze for any more. I had to move all the tv dinners/breakfasts/meal kits, frozen veggies, ice etc that I was keeping in the regular freezer.

The repair guy yesterday got it down to 3 degrees, and said there was nothing wrong with it because it would go down that far, but it shot up again to 26 in the 4 hours after he left. This morning, when I got up, it was 10 and within 15 minutes, it was up to 16. >:( So, I'm recording the temp every hour and I'll let the LL know again. The fridge temp never changes; once it's set, that's what temp it reads at. I know there's a fault somewhere, because there is no way the fridge doesn't warm up at all, even when I have the door open for 15 minutes, putting away groceries! I know the freezer is supposed to cycle, but I don't think it's supposed to continously cycle, and it certainly shouldn't be cycling up to 38! (and it stayed there for a few hours, at least, one night, because I woke up to partially melted ice cream, and soft frozen veggies and pizzas.)

Nothing else new to report. Blah, blah boring life. I really should mow, but I think I'm leaving it until next Monday or Tuesday, depending on weather. I just do not feel like getting out there in the heat. It's already 73 @8 am, and it's supposed to hit 93 today!

Yesterday's lunch was Baharat spiced couscous salad; and I had leftover pizza for dinner.
Today, I'm making Feta and tomato Cavatappi for dinner; I have to run to the store to get some creamer, so I'll probably grab McDonalds for lunch, since it's right by Winn Dixie.
I have a meal of Blackened Sweet Potato bowls that I need to cook up (this particular meal box comes with the veggies mostly precut); so I think I'll cook it, and put it in the fridge for DH for dinner tomorrow. That will make my life a little easier tomorrow. I'll probably just cook me something simple ahead of time too, like some pasta salad or something, since I don't know when he'll be back, and I have to pick him up at the office.

Good Morning everyone from cool and overcast LA once more,

Dad prayers please this morning for his medical appointment. I thank you all always for your loving prayers and extra support for him!

Happy belated 2nd birthday :cake:to Carter, Carol! I hope all of you have fun at his family party and prayers the move will go smoothly! Wow! Lynn is so right that Carter wasn't even born when our thread started. Amazing!

:hug:Footballmouse and good for you for checking into classes at the gym. I think with most things the first step is indeed always the hardest! I do have some elderly church friends who enjoy their water aerobics class at a YMCA. Years ago, I enjoyed swimming at a community pool. I hope you find an activity that its enjoyable for you :)

Be cozy and dry, PollyannaMom. A 🌧️day is always an extra good time to stay safe at home.

What a cute morning picture, Lynn to greet us ::MickeyMo Thank you, my friend. Prayers you heed your own advice of taking time for you this day!

Enjoy your 🌞B&B and freezer repair prayers to you, as well, that's for sure! What a mess :(

:hug:Judique.

Happy Thursday to all :)

Sunny and 83 outside, at least there's a slight breeze

Mona--glad your Dad's appointment went well

Stepdaughter had her follow up with the orthopedic Dr who did her shoulder surgery. He said her shoulder is healing nicely. But he is almost positive that all of her other symptoms,,the wacky bloodwork, the swelling in her legs/feet despite being on lasix, and the fact that she can't hold anything in her left had, is progressive rheumatoid arthritis. He is sending her for more bloodwork, then they will compare it to the last set, and see if they can pinpoint the actual issues and try and find something to help her. On the plus side for her, for a change,,her car is finally fixed (after sitting at that garage for over a month, after they replaced the transmission). She has no idea what was wrong with it, till she goes to pick it up shortly, but at least they aren't charging her anything for doing it.

We got a nice surprise in the mail today. Granddaughter sent us a copy of one of her senior pictures, along with an official graduation invitation, even though she knows we can't go in person. That was sweet of her to do. She will be leaving for college in South Carolina in the fall, to study forensic and criminal sciences. I got permission to share her picture, as long as I blocked out her name..lol. She looks so much like her mother, where as her younger sister looks exactly like their father,,lol

What a lovely picture, Lynn! Best to Granddaughter! Continued prayers for your Stepdaughter. Thank you so much on my dad.

Big hug and much prayer, Snowysmom. We're with you!

It's just chilly (for me) here and the sun never did come out too much today. Time, possibly because of the weather, seems to be more stagnant today. I hope all of you did find some joy this Thursday.

Wishing everyone a good evening!

We had a nice day today and I am tired.

Started with lunch at a deli type place near the train. We were done early so DD found a nearby playground so the kids could run some energy off. Train was fun. But, DH took Carter to the front of the train where they could see the engine. All was going well until the engine released steam which made a loud noise. Scared Carter so he grabbed DH and clung to him all the way back to our seat. He didn't settle down for a while because the engine keep sounding it's whistle. Tessa really enjoyed it. And it was a perfect weather day for the trip. After the ride we went for ice cream. DD and family headed home and DH and I went to the nearby outlets.

I ended up getting a long sleeve, sun burn protecting shirt from Columbia. Mine was $12 marked down from $50. DH got one too but his wasn't on the clearance rack. Still a good price. I got shorts at Wrangler and DH got jeans. Then we went to Coach because I like to look there for a purse that is a deal and something I like. I found a purse/backpack. It looks like this but yellow. 70% off because I wouldn't dream of paying full price. I don't splurge like this often.

Also found the elusive Old Bay flavored goldfish crackers. DD and I have been looking everywhere for them. They are a special limited time flavor. I went to the Pepperidge Farm outlet and asked there. They didn't have them but he thought the Target in Lancaster did so we stopped there and I got them.

Came home and had dinner for chicken on the foreman grill and leftover Mexican rice. Will watch Bull then go to bed.

Happy with Survivor outcome last night. The person that got voted off needed to, he was such a troublemaker.
I was just glad Jonathan survived. He is my favorite. Get rid of Romeo, he does nothing.

I can't believe that Carter is already turning 2. He wasn't even born yet when this thread was started! Hope he has a great birthday, and have fun on the train ride
That is so weird that this thread is older than him.

Moving day tomorrow
Hope all goes smoothly. DD scheduled her mover for June 30.

Happy Friday! :dogdance:

Wow, did we get some storms last night!:umbrella: The first round came through around 7:00, really strong, I had to take my flag down because it probably would have broken off the post. Then the wind blew my recycling can over (garbage night). I was so worried that everything would blow all over the yard and street but luckily there wasn't much in there so it stayed in the can. Finally stopped, so I ran out and picked the can up and then about 10:00 round #2 started up. With all the thunder and lightning, I'm sure the dogs were glad I was home.

Snowysmom - good luck on the move! :thumbsup2

I was just glad Jonathan survived. He is my favorite. Get rid of Romeo, he does nothing.
Romeo isn't going anywhere except to the finals . Since he hasn't done anything, everyone wants to take him to the finals since he won't get a single vote.

Have a great day!
