Congrats Pea!
Dumbo, I hope your shelves are easy to put together. LOL
Pollyanna, I hope your son is doing better.
Lynxstch, Dh still goes to the nephrologist every 3 months, for labs and med adjustments; even though he's 7 years post-transplant, and we thought he'd be down to just annuals at the hospital by now. Nope, his neph still wants him in every 3 months, even in the month that he goes to the hospital for the annual, which includes all sorts of tests. Seems silly to double up, but that's what they do, I guess.

Having a very tired day,

as Dh woke me up about 2:45am, because I was snoring bad. I took some melatonin last night (10mg, instead of the 5mg I usually take when I can't sleep), and on top of the Zyrtec, it put me down. But once he woke me up, I was awake. So, I got up about 3:30, and sat in the living room and read on my Kindle until about 5:30; fell back asleep...and then DH woke me up at 6:20, to make sure I was ok. He doesn't even remember waking me up in the middle of the night!

So, of course, I was up for the day...
I've tried to nap twice. The first time, I was just about asleep on the couch, when someone rang the bell and then knocked...and knocked...and knocked...and rang the bell again, all in the space of about 15 seconds. Answered the door to find some people from a local church, looking to talk about the usual stuff church people talk about when they 'cold-call' someone's home. I wasn't as pleasant as I could have been, as I was so tired, so I just told them literally to 'get off my lawn' (two were standing on the lawn, one on the little patio) and shut the door. I have a no soliciting sign up, and there is a sign on the lawn to stay off of it for 48 hours (landlord sent the grass/weed man, to try to make the yard niver) this morning, and I have little patience with people who think they can ignore other's requests to be left alone.

I gave up on trying to sleep for awhile, so I got the bathrooms cleaned and the whole house swept and mopped; put the trash cans up from trash day; worked on laundry (had 4 loads...how 2 people get 4 almost full loads in a week, I don't understand; last load is in the dryer, but I'm putting it all away tomorrow); ate lunch and cleaned the kitchen (had a cookie sheet from last night; I made some Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies last night after dinner, after I had already cleaned, and didn't wash the pan, + coffee stuff from this am + my lunch mess). I laid down on the couch again; was fully asleep, for maybe 10 minutes, and then the mail lady was banging on the door, to deliver DH's meds. Once again, awake...Ugh...I'm just hoping to keep my eyes open until after dinner/dishes...
Well, at least tomorrow is just stripping the bed and washing the bedding, putting away all the clothes from today, and vacuuming my little rugs (plus the usual dish fun).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tonight, we are going simple, with hamburgers, fries and some frozen veggies; and the rest of the cookies from last night. I'll only have the fries pan and the skillet to clean up, along with the stove, as the plates will go into the dishwasher, and then I can run it in the morning.
Tomorrow, I have a Dinnerly box coming (didn't get the cancellation in on time, so we are having one more box..I did think ahead, though, and substitued meals in it that we would want, and this last box is nothing but 4 falafel meals, lol)...so we're having a platter with homemade hummus, falafel, tomato cucumber salad, pitas, and tzatiki (most of which is in the box). All I have to do for tomorrow is fry the falafel, make the hummus and salad, and warm the pitas (tzatiki is already in the fridge)!
