I am envious of all your traveling and just picking up and going to Disney. When I retire maybe that kind of travel will be part of my plans. I hope you have a great trip.
Thank you! It will be a nice trip. Weather looks promising. And, you are just getting going so all in good time! I do travel a lot with family and I also have friends who have traveled with me. Moreso before Covid though, and really just getting back into this. Most travel has been pretty local.

Plus I'm completely retired. A lot of people semi retire for whatever reason. I have no desire to commit to any kind of job.

Rooms down and back are booked. Saturday I will drive as far as Florence. Then Sunday I will drive to Daytona Beach Shores where I have an ocean front room for the night in a nicely reviewed older hotel that has been remodeled to new/modern decor. Balcony and looking at the ocean. I get a bit of food included due to my hotel status. I think it is breakfast from reading the terms and conditions as this is a resort property. It's only one night so it will be okay anyway.

Sunday morning I'll have a little over an hours drive to the port to pick up all my girls. So, I'll be packing as light as I can. It's not that far back to Disney but I imagine we will be somewhat squished for that hour, but again, it's only an hour.

DD took jetblue to Orlando airport and was sitting in the priority pass restaurant/lounge there when I last talked to her. Free food as a result of a credit card perk. The best part is usually the seats are more comfy!

Haven't got to go over any other details with DD but we can make decisions as needed when we get together. Pack tomorrow and leave mid morning on Saturday.

We will be at Bay Lake Towers starting Monday and will be back home by Easter....playing it by ear as I'm looking at maybe a night or so elsewhere.

Dad thankfully came safely home a little earlier even than expected :) Praise God all went well. Results to come. Thank you all, always, with all my heart for your extra prayers for him!

Love reading shares of trips and other positives to come from each of dear you. Thank you all for sharing with us.

I did just email the dentist to ask about the ultrasonic, thank him again for his time and kindness during my initial visit, and a little extra share about how a future appointment can work better for me. He did try and seemed willing to do what he could for my needs so keeping a good thought there.

Barbara Ann is coming to pick up Terri's birthday basket surprise on Saturday. It'll be lovely to get to see her again. I'll be able to hand deliver to her an Easter card and small surprise. Meantime, I'll call Terri to casually ask whether she has any birthday plans so Barbara Ann will know when to deliver the basket :)

Just called Pavilions to order fresh cookies for Saturday, most of which will be donated to the Palm Sunday lunch in the park ministry--Barbara Ann will bring them to church on Sunday and give them to Deborah, the lady in charge of that. Dad and I were going to bake cookies but (hooray) it's too hot to do that! So, Pavilions can do the baking for us :)

Love to all and good afternoon!

Happy Thursday all...never made it back to the boards Tuesday or yesterday. I'm am still so exhausted from our long weekend. LoL I think we're getting too old for the kind of party weekend we had. LoL Alot of fun but geesh...exhausting.

I got to see the baby yesterday evening and gave mom and dad a little break to eat dinner as she was quite fussy for them. Mom is struggling to figure out a routine of getting stuff done and taking care of the baby. I told her just worry about the baby and everything else will be fine for now....she's only 6 weeks old, things will fall into place soon. She was upset yesterday because dad had to wait for his dinner when he got home for work and I told her, oh well...he'll survive. If he's starving, he can make himself a sandwich...lol His mom, who's my best friend, agreed so hopefully she starts giving herself a break, poor thing...lol My friend said she going to start going over more often now to help her out and I told her when I'm home, I'm available too.

My lilacs are blooming....oh my gosh, they smell so amazing. I love them, just wish they would last longer than they do. 20220406_103006.jpg

DH and his best friend/coworker are working from home this week and probably next. They are at his friend's house rebuilding a piece of equipment. Yesterday, my friend made breakfast for them and invited me over so this morning I made breakfast and took it over there for them. Tomorrow, she plans to make breakfast again so maybe I'll pick up lunch since it's Friday. DH is so funny...this morning when as he was getting ready to walk out the door, he said....I'm leaving now to go to work at my best friends house....lol

@tazdev3225 sorry to hear about your cat. It's so hard losing a furry loved one.

@Snowysmom congratulations on the sale and purchase. I hope you feel some relief with this small piece being taken care of.

@Breezy_Carol I've never been to WDW. I've wanted to go but it always seemed so overwhelming to me, even more so now that things have changed so much at both resorts on each coast. I'm sure your trip will be amazing and your so lucky to have DD do so much of the planning.

@Judique hope you enjoy your trip. Spontaneous trips can be the best ones.

@lynxstch I usually clean when I have to. LoL If I'm cooking, I'll throw trash and scraps away right away but everything else is usually piled together and I'll clean it up when I'm done.

@easyas123 Sounds like we have similar cleaning styles....lol I won't leave clothes in the wash because I worry about them getting smelly but all of us in our house have been known to leave stuff in the dryer for longer than necessary. LoL Then from the dryer to the hamper and it's a little while before it's makes it to the dresser/closet. 😬 We also live in the desert where it's pretty much always dusty, even right after I dust so I don't do it as often as soon people. (I need that little whistling guy right here...lol) I do my fastest cleaning under pressure when someone is coming over or were planning a party. Hahaha

@flyingdumbo127 I hope you enjoy the heatwave coming this weekend. I'm happy it's not cols, but I don't think I'm ready for it to be this warm yet...LOL

Have a great rest of your day all....sorry if I missed anyone....I did I did but I keep forgetting to do quotes.

Love your lilacs!! I think they are my favorite. I have fond memories of sitting on the front porch when I was a kid and having the fragrance surround me.

I had them here but reno meant they had to go and I planted more but they've never truly taken off. Still small and no luscious blooms like yours.

I also love your lilacs, AuntieMe3. I am enjoying our early summer. It definitely is quite warm! But for me, that truly is an added blessing, to not be cold. Hugs and get some rest, my friend! So glad you got to see the baby and wonderful new parent advice. The new parents will figure out a routine indeed, just takes time.

Have a good evening friends.

Good morning..opposite of Snowysmom's weather here. Clear and 38 now, but going to be 55 and rain around 1. Figures, just as we have to go out for a Mr L appt. And the grass is growing and growing and growing. Going to call the mower place today and see if they got any of the one I want in yet. If not I will change the oil today in the self propelled one, and mow as soon as everything is dry. Might be Monday though, lol

Off to get some laundry done and fix Mr L's breakfast

Have a nice Friday

Happy Friday! :)

Looks like there is no longer an option for all the various emojis. :(

Working from home today so I'm happy. Got most of the laundry done last night so I only have one load today and I'll clean the house. The next round of rain will be starting around late morning today, only getting to the 40's.

Lynxstch - where do you get your Disney pictures? I look forward to seeing which one will appear each day.

My Naan bread pizza turned out pretty good last night. I put some pepperoni and olives on it. Tonight I'll make some sort of fish.

I'm updating our family tree this weekend. I'm going to need some help from my aunt and one of my cousins. Someone in the family did this about 35 years ago for both sides of my family so it definitely needs updating. We were able to go back as far as my great-great grandparents on one side and my great grandparents on the other side.

That's it for me. Everyone enjoy the weekend and the weather (if it's not raining by you).

Good morning.

Survived babysitting last night. Carter is taken with his "dad", short for granddad. as he calls DH. Carter's father is "daddy". The boys play while the girls play. It all works out.

Bought my WDW tickets on UT and saved $67. And linked them to My Disney Experience and made park reservations.

Went through some bins of old linens I saved and have two bags of towels to donate to the local animal shelter. Also found some placemats and table cloths I can put to use.

DH is out in my care at metal recycling, vacuuming my car, and getting me gas. May take a bike ride this afternoon. I think Fair Hill will be muddy.

Rooms down and back are booked.
Isn't retirement great? When we booked WDW, we are opened ended on the way home incase we want to stop somewhere else. We currently have 4 trips booked now through January and are close to booking another. As much as I loved all the dogs we've had, it is nice to be able to pick up and go without worrying about boarding.

On that note, I wave reading to Tessa yesterday and the book had the word death in it. She asked what that was. I tried to explain relating to Grace, our last golden who Tessa loved. She told me she would help me find another dog. My heart melted.

My lilacs are blooming
I love lilacs and their scent. Can't wait until our one bush blooms.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend dear Snowysmom

Love the Pooh Good Morning picture, dear Lynn, thank you my friend. Much prayer Mr. L's appointment goes well and that both of you stay dry!

How very cool, Footballmouse! What a special project. I pray working on it brings back good memories along with new ones with your family. Glad you enjoyed your pizza last night. I so miss the smilies, too.

Aw, God Bless Tessa (and, Carter), Carol, how precious! You never know when God just might, even if temporary, place a dog in your life. Meantime thank you aways for all the love and care you give to so very many humans, all of us included.

Still nice and warm here this morning, just lovely. Expecting Kleenex from Amazon today (it's still being offered an 8 pack of 120 count flat boxes for $13.88) and some foil pans for dad from Wal-Mart. Lol, quite combination huh? But needed items. I am so looking forward to seeing Barbara Ann tomorrow afternoon.

Hugs and Happy Friday to all!

I just type 'spring disney images' or whatever kind I am looking for into the Bing search bar on Chrome

Busy getting ready to go tomorrow but when I knew the girls were on the ship, I called. They had just gotten into their cabin/stateroom so I got the whatsapp tour. The girls were wearing the little dresses for their arrival that I brought them earlier this week and they loved them.

Then they wanted to go swimming and were busy changing into the Walmart swimsuits I got them. DD is already exhausted and just wanted to lie down. But she sent me a few pictures. They have a nice room on the back curve of the boat with a good sized balcony. Younger DGD immediately tried to climb but Mom was on it.

Here are the bathing beauties:

1649442385147.png

The one on the right cut her own bangs a while back, and then we had them trimmed last month when she and I went to Hilton Head. Not twins, 1 year and 3 weeks apart in age. Most of the time they are best buddies.

Good afternoon, friends,

So very grateful for God's continued mercy upon my dad. Wonderful results from yesterday. Thank you all again for your prayers.

How fun to have another trip planned, Carol :)

Lynn, prayers all went both dry and smooth for Mr. L's appointment!

PollyannaMom and Carol, thank you both so much for donating the linens to animals who can use them. Hooray for a working dishwasher.

Precious picture, Judique! Thank you for sharing. Cherish every moment with them as I'm sure you do.

I hope you had a good time on your cruise anyway, Easyas. The only "cruise" I've been on is Small World :D

We're keeping in prayer that our older fridge is okay. It's not keeping as cool from bottled water to applesauce. We're hoping turning up the "cool" will make a difference and that possibly it's on energy saving mode due to the heat we've had. Warmish water (to me) is just not the same! It works and we're grateful.

I’ve only been on one cruise ship, and it wasn’t WDW. Is that standard for the size of rooms on those boats? It’s roomier than I thought!
They look happy and ready for a good time!
No, it's a little bigger than the standard size. It's a verandah stateroom, and it's on the rear curve so larger outside as well as inside. This is the Disney Dream.
Yes, they are full of energy.
