Extra prayer for Anthony, Taz.

I am so not a stuff person at all. I've shared on here before how freeing it has been over the last several years to truly pare down on stuff. To me, if something is not being actively used by dad or I or is part of our small pandemic stockpile (that is on-going used) than it needs to go. There is nothing more important to me, as all of you know, than I pray in whatever teeny way I might be of witness to Christ in thankful, joyful service. I sure know there is nothing joyful let alone serving God about stuff sitting in a closet!

I have had stored away over the last couple of years various supplies (intending to use them in 2020 and 2021) that I had bought for church use. I have a bunch of stationary and other supply items for summer camps or for use with children at church. I also have purple and Wpwhite plastic tablecloths for Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday dinners to summer camp supplies. Then, on a more personal note, I also have an excess supply of Maxis! God-willing in a few more months I'll have made it to a year without that un-fun monthly time. I know "surprises" can still happen but at least it shouldn't be regular anymore thus no need for so many packages. A friend who heads up my former/current church's homeless ministry including the monthly lunch at a park, will make use of/distribute these things to people who can use them here and now Should also God-willing and calling, post pandemic I get to be an active part of a church again and begin the Smile Squad ministry, He has put into my heart, new supplies can be figured out. Meantime, what joy and extra thankfulness it will bring me, peace, too, to know what I have now will be put to good use. Praise God

I just looked at my house which is about 40 miles from my son's house. There is snow on the ground. It looks like less than an inch and is on the bushes and grass. I am glad I filled the bird feeder yesterday. My house is East of my son's house.

Watched the red carpet for the Oscars and taped the rest to FF though later. Yikes to some of those dresses last nite, toss up for me who was the worst--Kristen Stewart .Billy Illish or Jada Pinkett Smith, but I think Kristen gets my vote. What was she thinking?

Trying to decide what to get into cleaning wise today. Mr L is still asleep so I have a little while to come up with something, lol

Good Monday morning!

Worked Friday night so I slept for a couple of hours Saturday before I went and met up with Ds1 & DIL for his birthday lunch. We went to Cracker Barrel and as usual, it was really good. It was nice to catch up. Last time I saw him he was pretty sick so wasn't into talking. Later that night, Ds2 stopped over to grab something in my kitchen while him and his girlfriend where at the laundromat. I told him to come back here instead of sitting there waiting for their clothes to be dried. They ended up staying for about an hour.

Snowysmom - glad you found a condo that you like, good luck with the offer. I live in a single story house but my laundry is in the basement, I hate having to go downstairs to do the laundry.

It's been cold here throughout the day but once we get a nice warm day, I'm going to have to get out and cut the grass. When I let the dogs outside I notice the grass in the back yard is going to need it soon before it gets too long and thick and I'll have trouble getting the mower through it.

Watched the movie Red Code with Ryan Reynolds and The Rock last night. It was okay, Ryan Reynolds is funny with his comments or facial expressions.

I need to get back to work, payroll is due today and I'm waiting on one of the girls to fix her timecard. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning. Very cold here right now at 22 degrees. I wish Mother Nature would make her mind up about the weather.

The computer seems to be OK today but I backed up all my files to external hard drives already this morning. I had been putting it off and that was my biggest worry. I think I'll do it every couple days from now on. I have a lot of ancestry research and all my picture logs on the computer, the pictures themselves are on a separate hard drive. I was worried that I would have to replace hundreds of hours of work and research. Thankfully my prayers were answered while I slept.

Taking my husband to get his hair cut this morning and dropping the bags of candy off at the church hall. Our hospitality committee will be having an Easter Egg filling party on Saturday. There is enough candy to fill about 600+ eggs. Our Sunday School has grown a bit but I like to be prepared for more children just in case.

It's a cold morning for here, too and rainy. Dad has a doctor appointment this morning that, if course, I pray goes well and that he stays dry getting to. It's a bit of a walk from where he parks to the building. I did enjoy some hot chocolate for breakfast which helped warm me up for a few minutes anyway

The 2 word search books I posted about this morning been taken by a lovely Quacker Please do let me know, whether any of your other grandkids might like puzzle/activity books in the future. I will keep them in mind.

Good morning.

The temp is up to 32. I want it to get warm and stay that way. The bird bath is frozen.

Trying to go through more boxes and get rid of stuff. I have a donate box (actually up to 4) and trash pile. I found a lot of costume jewelry of my mother's that I don't know what to do with. DD, Dniece and DSIL have been through it.

I didn't watch an of the awards last night. Just not interested.

@Kirby, glad to see you. Will keep you in prayer especially about your grief and DD's problems.

QOTD - Do you like cold pizza?

I like it hot when it's just out of the oven but I can eat it straight from the fridge the next day. I like it cold better than reheated. DH thinks this is disgusting.

QOTD - Do you like cold pizza? I prefer warm pizza and actually don't miss not eating any pizza right now. I do remember every now and then when I did eat it more, not minding, if it was just luke warm. Definitely prefer nice and warm

Thank God, dad's appointment went very well. this doctor doesn't need to see him again for 3 months. Beyond grateful indeed. My sincere thanks to each of you always, too, for your love, support, and care extra for my dad and of course, me, as well. I truly am blessed to be a Quacker.

Yes I do like cold pizza as a leftover. I especially like pepper and onion pizza as a cold leftover.

@flyingdumbo127 Glad to hear your Dad's appt went well. How reassuring for you both.

I am making an offer on the condo but because the supply of condos in my area is small and this condo is one of the best one floor around, being top floor and nice finishes, it is popular. My agent told me how much the unit next to it went last year and it was higher than what I was going to offer. I talked to my financial person aka younger DS and we figured it out. My offer will be my best and only so we will see if it gets me a condo or not. I can see the single family housing market getting soft now. My agent agrees. People are getting skittish with the economy, war, and rate hikes coming up. The condo market is still hot as people my age are looking and they have alot of cash from selling homes etc. I can't compete with many of them. Offers are due tomorrow at noon so I should know something by tomorrow evening.

I just got back from a walk. BRRRRR! I had my heavy gloves on and winter coat. The wind was brutal. And I hope to take another shorter walk later. I am certainly crazy. I do need to clear my head and be out in nature a bit.

@Snowysmom I hope you get good news regarding the condo sounds like a great place.

QOTD I do like cold pizza. I like it hot when we first get it but like to eat the leftovers cold. I feel like rewarming always makes the pizza chewy. BTW...going to Italy really ruined pizza for me. There's a place in the Bay Area we go to that tastes just like it did in Italy but still not as good as the real deal. We've eaten less pizza since we went to Italy in 2019 than we did before.

Cold pizza is not something I particularly like. However, if you mean pizza that has cooled, but not refrigerated yet, yes, I will enjoy that!

Today I had something taken off my right eyelid. It was sent for biopsy, and doctor feels it’s nothing to worry about. I don’t know anything about skin/face radiation yet, nor about what needs to be done about my shoulder. I have an MRI scheduled regarding my shoulder on Friday.

I enjoyed a lovely time in Disney’s Hilton Head resort last week with some girlfriends. Yes, we ranged in age, 69 to 82! The resort was a hit, the weather, fair, and we enjoyed lots of seafood.

We have a friend who has many health issues. She’s only 54, has RA, has had a Knee replacement that has gone bad, and will be getting it replaced again in April. Plus, she recently learned that despite being vaccinated and boosted, her body has no protection against Covid. It has something to do with the RA and the chemotherapy she gets to deal with it. However! I received this from her today:

“Hi Guys: I just got my call re: the Evusheld Treatment!! 4/4/22 @ 4:30pm. I will be going to the Infusion Center of the Cancer Treatment Center in the Jersey Shore Hospital.

They said the treatment will take about 1 1/2 Hours. The Treatment is 2 shots, one on the left side hip then one on the right side hip. Shot

Once we start the Treatment I will be monitored to see how my body responds to the antibodies. For the 1st Month after we start I will have to continue to stay isolated & any time I'm out, I will have to wear a mask & MUST stay away from crowds!!

If this goes well I will finally be able to see my Family at some point this year!! So the last time I was with my Family was the Christmas before COVID!! It's been far too long!!

Please pray that this will be a success for me!!!”
