Hello!

Had to have my car at the garage this morning at 7:30 to get a trailer hitch installed. Not towing anything but to receive the bike rack. Seeing as we were on the road early we went to PA to the Oxford Diner for breakfast. (Only 10 minutes away.) From there to our favorite Amish furniture store to browse. Then Rockvale Outlets for the kitchen store to get "gaskets" for canisters. One more stop at a food store for some things our store doesn't carry.

Now home to straighten out the checkbook, etc.

DDIL went home last night. She and DS were back at the NICU this morning to see Marty. In DS's words, "He is incredible." Nasal feeding tube is supposed to come out today and he may go home tomorrow. DS said that he isn't really a NICU baby now but they are now doing what they would have been doing if rooming in.

Not much else going on this cold, dreary day.

It is nice to hear that baby Marty may go home tomorrow. How wonderful.

I was in the office today cleaning and boxing up papers to get ready for the office move in a few months. I lifted and packed so much paper and cleaned out my personal stuff. It was nice to see the whole group together in person which hasn't happened since before the pandemic. We have been together in the office a few at a time. I am tired now.

The offers on the house are very frustrating. One offer was rescinded because the buyers said they didn't have enough money to do what they want in the house. The offer that was way over the top is basically kind of a scam. They started this with one house that was for sale, went on to my house, and now are on to another house. They bid really high in order to be the one who gets picked. Then when the appraisal comes in much lower, they will say that is what they have to pay. This is my theory. Once my agent asked them to waive the appraisal they left my offer and went onto the newest house on the market. I am not going to deal with dishonesty. The contractor is left and he needs to do a wetlands study because the conservation dept in the town refused to weigh in on the situation. He does say he wants to buy the house but he needs to do his due diligence. I know there aren't wetlands back there. My neighbors on one side and behind me with whom we share the land in question both tore down houses and built mcmansions. My agent looked at maps and plot plans and sees nothing. I am just hoping and praying that all comes back well and they sign the purchase and sale. Yesterday I was getting very anxious and stressed. My kids were getting concerned and I just told them with everything I have done for almost 6 months now this is the last straw. It should be easier than this for me and I just can't do this stuff any more. I have hit the wall. I see the therapist next week. Maybe by then things will be resolved. I am looking at 2 condos on Friday and one on Saturday. One condo on Friday is a tiny one that my agent wants me to look at just to see the difference in sizes. It is in the same complex as the larger one I will be seeing. Both are one floor. Saturday is town house in a complex I looked at last week. But this unit looks much cleaner and updated than the other one. My DDIL is coming with me on all of these and a friend is also coming on Saturday. Thank you for listening to me ramble. I am just getting tired with life and its' roller coaster ride.

It was a nice sunny day but now it is cloudy and a bit windy. I do like windy so I don't mind.

I've been sooo lazy this week. I did go pick up a prescription yesterday afternoon and have made dinner every night but other than that, I feel like a slug...lol DH said he's going to move the treadmill from the garage into the house for me so I can get some walking in. Haven't walked once since we've been home, I don't want to lose all the progress I was making while we were out of town. Our area is just not great for walking so the treadmill will help.

I have a nail appt tomorrow and I hope to go to WalMart and the grocery store either before or after.

Good Morning. It is 36 and rainy. Supposed to rain all day with highs near 43. Oh well, no walk today. I need a bit of a chill day after work anyway. I have to go to the grocery store to get stuff to make chicken penne and broccoli for supper, It is the one thing at least one of the grandkids eats.

Time to make coffee and get working.

Happy Thursday, almost to the weekend.

Last night was Survivor night , so far much better than last season. At least this season has more likable people.

Didn't do anything again last night, my lift is so boring.

Ds1's birthday was the other day, we'll go out for dinner this weekend. I'm going to run up to a fun restaurant in the area and get him a gift card.

Just have to get through today at work, tomorrow I'll be working at home . Have a great day!

Good morning..45 now going to 68. By the weekend we will be back into the 30's with 20's overnite. Yuck

Slept well last nite, until I had the strangest dream (nightmare) about a camel breaking through our bedroom window and biting my hand. Where on earth that one came from I have no clue. I could hear myself calling for help, and it must have been loud, as Mr L was getting up out of his chair to come and see if I really needed help. By then I had woken myself up, but had a heck of a time falling back asleep. Will need a nap (dreamless I hope) later on.

Off to do a little light cleaning, and then do nothing for awhile,,probably watch Survivor. We got through the 2 NCIS from Monday night and one of the FBI's.

I love the original NCIS but didn't get into the new Hawaii one. Did you like it right away or has it gotten better as the season has progressed? (I'm not sure whether I just didn't like it, or should give it another try.)

I can't stand NCIS Hawaii..Mr L likes it..I just don't care for Vanessa Lachey, so he watches it when I am busy doing something else. I wouldn't bother if I were you, lol!

If my day is going to keep going like this, I am going back to bed. No newspaper, have to call the Tribune again since noone answers at the Times News. She said carrier is late today, I said what about yesterday, never did get a paper. She says I'm sure he doesn't have any with him now, so I will credit your account, hang on..she comes back and says you have had a lot of trouble with this carrier the last few weeks? I said yes, and after being a customer for almost 30 years, we have just about had it. She said I am going to credit your account for another free month, and we will see if we can get this carrier straightened out

Then I sit down to watch Survivor and the screen is black with a box that says searching for signal..restart box. I do , and nothing. I come in here and look at modem..no lights except Power. So no internet, no cable, no landline. I call Breezeline on my cell phone. Recording sends an auto reset to the modem. Still nothing. I call back..wait time is 27-47 minutes..that is how they 'improved'customer service wait times when they switched from Atlantic Broadband to Breezeline? It still doesn't work any better. So I put my phone on speaker and just let it sit there. I look at the modem. Unplug it..wait 30 seconds, plug it back in..still nothing..lights were flashing but wouldn't stay steady. I see a little square button on top of the modem. It says WPS, no idea what that means, but I press it,,and it flashes. All of a sudden the modem works again , have internet and phone, but still no tivo. I had to restart the box again to get it to work,,and then had to reset the one in the bedroom. Newspaper just now came..at 10:30.

Now I am going to get laundry out of the dryer to fold, and attempt again to watch Survivor,,lol

I've changed the bed and towels, and washed and folding them.

Marty update - nasogastric tube removed. As DS said, "no strings attached." But, he failed the car seat test. Preemies have to sit in car seat 90 minutes without O2 level dropping too much. They will retry in 24 hours.

Cold, dreary, and raining. Highlight of the day is a trip to Home Depot this afternoon.

Keep warm, Snowysmom! We've had summer here, almost 90 yesterday. Monday is supposed to be cold and rainy. I sure appreciated summer in March while it lasted I hope you have some downtime today indeed, my friend.

Cooler morning right now. Dad is headed off soon to the 99 Cent Only Store and Target. Prices keep going up here as supply on some items go down. I hope this isn't happening, other than I'm sorry it sounds like on cat found, for all of you out there. Good in any case to stock up when we can.

Good evening everyone.

Busy day but we are nearing the finish line on the house. I will post some pictures when we are done.

Can you all keep my grandson Anthony in your prayers. His surgery is tomorrow and we are all a nervous wreck worrying.

In honor of National Cheesesteak Day, and I do live in a city known for its cheesesteaks that was dinner tonight.


We briefly owned a steak and pizza shop so I made cheesesteaks for dinner.

@flyingdumbo127 no supply issues around here as far as I can tell. Nothing we need has been out but I'm not picky about brands or anything either so if something is out, I just get something else. I do feel the prices going up though and it's so annoying.

@Breezy_Carol I hope Marty does well with the car seat test tomorrow and is able to come home.

@footballmouse my daughter(23yo) is working from home 3 days a week. Monday and Friday are her office days. Yesterday I was telling her about a friend that got a new job, fully remote and DD whined "I wanna work from home.....I say as I'm working from home"....She made me laugh so hard.

It's 89 here today....we skipped right over spring and went straight to summer. I'm sure we have a cool off again sometime but this was not what I wanted when I said I wanted it to be warmer. LoL

I got a baby pic this morning so I thought I'd share. Here is Anastasia She's getting chubby and I love it.


Also got my nails done...I went bright and colorful for the cruise.


The pink is actually color changing so warm it's pink and purple when cool/cold, as you can see on the tips. Purple is my favorite color so I love this.

What a precious baby, AuntieMe3! God Bless Anastasia and her family, including of course you I'm so glad supply isn't an issue where you are! to prices soaring though.

Grateful extra this Thursday for another day of sunshine and that we (CA folks who own cars) might be receiving a stimulus check of sorts to do truly soaring cost of gas! That would be a blessing indeed. Very thankful dad's driving right now is so limited.
