Good evening all.

Lynxstch - Prayers for a positive outcome tomorrow. So sorry to hear about your cat.

Not a whole lot going on here. My daughter got hurt at work today and has a concussion. She was working on a patient when the handle from the overhead light fell off and landed on her head. It was all documented and she is in the concussion protocol. She's permitted no patients but still needs to go to the hospital. I told her to call out. Thankfully the handle didn't land on the patient. That would have been a disaster.

I was discharged from the foot doctor today. My foot isn't 100% but it's getting there.

LJ was so cranky on Halloween. He is cutting teeth. I have never seen him cry like that. The second Mommy was out of sight he just started crying again. He was a cute Donald Duck though. Of course I also had to get him the Mickey Trick or Treat bag

Ben was St. Francis of Assisi for All Saints Day. He took his stuffed Wolfie with him since St. Francis was the patron Saint of Animals. When the teacher told them to fold their hands Ben did this. We don't know if it was for the devil or Surfing. My mom said it was a good thing he didn't know St. Francis gave away all his clothes and walked through the town naked. Ben was a bit of a streaker when he was younger.

We may give up food distribution at church. We are getting mainly produce now and we have to throw out so much because it is bad. We could deal with that but the last couple weekends we have only had about 10 people show up. At our peak we had 40 to 50 people coming for food. It's not my call but I am ready to say it's time to end it.

Hope everyone has a good night.

:hug:dear Taz, please take care of yourself! Prayers for you, always, and also for your poor DD. Thankful she is (overall) okay! Precious pictures of LJ and Ben, thank you, my friend for sharing with us.

Carol, that's how I sometimes feel about a book that has way too many secondary characters in it. Too confusing and trying to keep track of who is who ruins the enjoyment of the story.

Prayers for everyone for a good night's rest.

Happy Thursday! :daisy:

lynxstch so sorry to hear about your cat . That is the one of the worst things you can go through if you are an animal lover.

tazdev3225 love those Halloween costumes! The St. Francis costume would have been great for my kids, they went all through Catholic schools. I loved how he brought the stuffed animal with him.

Not much excitement in my life these days. Ds and I ordered a pizza last night and I watched Survivor, that's about it.

Ds1 stopped over after work. While the girls are at the bridal shower on Sunday, I asked my boys to come over and fix a few things around my house. He came over to check everything out and see what he'll need. Talked to him about a few things regarding the upcoming wedding. His girlfriend is stressing me out so much. Two of my friends offered to decorate the venue. We aren't allowed in until 3:00, the wedding is at 5:30 and guests can start arriving at 5:00. The venue people will decorate but only for 1 hour. There is no way all the decorations will be done in an hour, that's why my friends offered to help. She thinks we're all going to finish up decorating after the pictures are done and before the guests start arriving!!!! Are you kidding me?! I am not putting up a Xmas tree or draping garland down the staircases in a long dress and heels! My son says it's because she wants to be in control of everything. I told him that this is getting out of hand and she is going to need help (she ended up declining my friend's offer). The bakery is charging them an extra $150 for delivery and set up b/c the venue is out of their delivery area. She's refusing to pay that and I understand, they already spent $600 on a small cake and cupcakes but is she planning to go pick up all this and set it up too? I told him to contact the bakery and set up delivery, I'll call them back and pay for it.

Then he proceeds to tell me that my ex-husband (ds1 is the only one who talks to him) has a brain aneursym and nobody is supposed to know about it. I controlled my hatred for the man and asked which doctor he was seeing and suggested that ds tell him to get more than one opinion. I also gave him the name of a top neurosurgeon at the hospital that I used to work at. He was very lucky it didn't rupture, I'm guessing it is probably a leak. Hopefully they can get it under control and not have to do anything until after the wedding.

Well that's my life as of now in a nutshell. My boss hasn't showed up for work yet, it's 10:00, so hopefully he's working from home and I can sneak out a little early, probably not though. Hope everyone has a good day! :sunny:

Good morning,

Lynn, waiting is the worst.

@footballmouse, good luck with the wedding decorating. We did that for DS's wedding too. DDIL had everything written out step by step.

Here is DD in white sweater, with her hair done already, and DSIL on ladder. We kept the bride out of it. She had everything so well organized.

Thinking of Lynn this morning and praying for safe and successful procedures. I’m sorry about your cat, too, that seems sort of sudden and extreme. Uh oh - just saw update. Classic - moved till tomorrow. They probably had some emergency cases to accommodate that couldn’t wait, but still hard. Going to be a long night again, I’m sorry.

Also thinking of Flyingdumbo and hoping that last dentist appt goes smoothly, I know it will be hard for you. I have a cleaning today, too - not looking forward to it, but sucking it up. :teeth: Glad you’ve gotten healthier over the past year or two. 👍🏻

Cute pics that were posted, thanks for sharing taz! I LOVE the St Francis costume! I have a statue of him in my house as I love the way he loves animals, like us here! :goodvibes

Wow, @footballmouse that post sort of took my breath away! Lots going on! I hope your STBDIL takes your friends up on their offer, and that your ex listens to you! 😳 When is the wedding? And sorry about the job, but it sounds like maybe there’s another in your future that’s a better fit.

Ongoing prayers for Snowysmom. :grouphug: Dealing with all of that at the same time must feel so overwhelmIng. You’re doing great from what we can see here! Just putting one foot in front of the other each day is admirable after a hit like that. So glad you’re surrounded by love and support. :flower3:

Not a lot going on here except some medical follow up for DH. He’s having a couple of procedures for different things, but nothing too, too bad. One is a cortisone injection for his back, which I hope helps on the first try instead of the second, but with him, it usually takes two. The other is a procedure that we’d gone for the second opinion about. That will be in January. So glad he has this option rather than the radical way the other guy wanted to deal with It. When DH said he looked disheveled, that was the first clue something was off there. He called me twice on the phone to talk about the procedure he wanted to do after DH asked him to, and I didn’t feel good about him or what he was saying. Proud of the new guy who is with my own hospital. He’s been very professional, quick, and had so much more to offer. So 🤞🏻that his way is the right way and DH feels better after January. Working over the next several days, will be able to read but not post much - working/sleeping cycle is about all lI can manage on those days. Have a good weekend, everyone. 🐥

Quick good morning stop in to check in all of you and extra Lynn. Waiting and wondering is the worst, dear Lynn. I'm sorry. In a way that is good because it means the hospital believes your procedure can wait an extra day. Still, of course, so hard. Big hugs and always love!

Hugs to you as well, Footballmouse, I hope you enjoyed your pizza and show last night. I'm sorry about all the other drama, yuck!

Great picture, Carol :)

Aw, thanks so much, dear Pea. Prayers for your DH! I'm leaving for the dentist for soon. Prayers you own cleaning goes very well, too!

Love to all of you and I'll stop in later.

Lynn Sorry the procedure was delayed. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry about the cats. It is hard to lose a furbaby especially suddenly. :grouphug:

@flyingdumbo127 I hope your dentist appt goes well and he can offer you some reassurance for the new dentist.

@Pea-n-Me It sounds like your DH has a good plan for his health care. I hope the cortisone works the first time.

I saw my doctor today for my annual physical. Usually Chris and I go together so it was hard to go myself. I lost 14 more pounds over the year and I suspect alot of those are just over the past 5 weeks. I usually lose around 8 pounds a year. My doctor gave me trazadone to try, a very low dose. He thought it would help short term. I am still not sure if I want to take it. I read the side effects and get a bit nervous about it. I fall asleep but then wake up several times a night. I don't want to and can't be drowsy in the morning as I drive 3 days a week to my house and I will be working again at the end of the month. I will discuss the pros and cons again with older DS and see what he has to say. It is nice to have a doctor in the family to consult with. I do consult with my physician but my DS is very knowledgeable too. I was also at the house today doing more cleaning. I found the cake topper to our wedding cake. That is a keeper and also caused alot of tears. I really feel the need to be settled in a place I can call my own. I know it will take many months but I am not patient. Older DS is so good to have me stay with them until I can sell the house and find a place but it is not my home so I feel unsettled right now. I feel like a woman without a home even though I do have a house. It is strange to see a dumpster in my driveway. Younger DS is heading over tomorrow to get a head start on the tossing of bins. Saturday will be older DS, younger DS, and I tossing stuff and reminiscing. I did have some smiles over finding some pictures of the boys at their proms with their high school girlfriends. Older DS said to shred every picture. Younger DS has not seen his yet. He will say the same thing. Younger DS began dating his now wife senior year in high school so his old girlfriend pictures are from the junior prom. DS and DDIL are the proverbial high school sweethearts. Older DS and DDIL are college sweethearts.

Have a good day.

Liking your post in extra support of dear you, Snowysmom! :grouphug:❤ to you always, that's for sure! Prayers my friend. Please, please, take care of yourself!

All went fine at the dentist. I will really miss him so much. His wife (receptionist) is so kind, too. We did agree that one day when the pandemic is over we'll get together for breakfast or lunch which would be so nice to do. Dentist assured me that the new dentist i chose from his two recommendations, is a doctor he's known for a good 30 years! I felt better about that and of course, knowing this person is someone my beloved dentist trusts and respects. Current dentist, so kind, he said for all his patients, he will be contacting the dentist they go with to share their dental needs and of course send on records and x-rays. I am hopeful :)

Such loud racket around here today from the building across the street. Waiting for my night stand from Amazon via UPS which was supposed to come yesterday but was delayed. Dad's comforter along with a parka for me were also delayed (from Walmart). Hoping those will show up tomorrow.

Have a good afternoon, everyone.

Good evening all.

Snowysmom- continued prayers to you and your boys. I can only imagine how difficult this is for you. I’m sorry younger feeling un-settled in that you don’t feel like you have a home. As been said before, take things as slow as you need to, there is no ”right” way to work through grief.

Lyn - so sorry to hear about your cat. How difficult to have to let go and not being able to say goodbye. Prayers your tests go well tomorrow.

Footballmouse - I hope things with the wedding planning get figured out. Hopefully your son can get his future wife to let go of some of the control and accept the offered help.

Mona, happy to hear you are feeling much less stressed about your new dentist. Changing dr.s is always hard.

Its been another busy week. I think things may slow down sometime in the middle of January. It’s all ok, just like most things it seems when it rains it pours. Planning to do some needed shopping tomorrow. Not really looking forward to it as I’m guessing the holiday shoppers are already out and about. I used to love to shop crowd, or crowds, it didn’t matter. Now I prefer to have stuff delivered to my house.

Have a good night all.

Just finished reading all the way back to Monday.

Prayers for Lynn today as well.

My week has been pretty much the same. That's probably a good thing.

The halloween crowd came through here and I love it! So fun to see the pics of the Quackers grands! I have a pic of mine somewhere as well but haven't moved it to my computer yet.

Still working on cleaning up my basement. Yesterday a decision was made to have the windows down there replaced, especially after I found broken glass that I couldn't see because something was stacked up high in front. Not a security thing, as it was 'inside', but another reason to just get the new windows installed.

We will be going to Hilton Head for Thanksgiving. Checked out menus down there from places and grocery stores that do delivery meals. They just don't all have the combo of dishes that I would like. So, my plan is to cook. I'll have a decent kitchen but will have to bring some ingredients and some cookware and cooking pans, mostly for the oven stuff. So my plan is mostly in place. The problem is space in the car. I don't want to take the van. So we will be squeezed in. Some things will be done to the resort via Amazon (whole foods).

Told DD to pack in soft bags but she has new hard cases for the girls that she wants to use. We will see how that goes. We don't need to haul a lot of clothing as we have a washer and dryer and it's a very casual atmosphere. I have no restaurants planned but the others may go out. I mostly want to walk the beach, around the harbor and boats and check out the birds.

Take care all!

Happy Friday!

Same old, same old for me last night. I did run to Target after work yesterday (by the way, I did sneak out a couple of hours early after all). The boys are going to do a little fixing of the walls in the shower around the window and then put in a new exhaust fan. I decided to get a new shower curtain and a couple of Mason jars for a shelf that I have in there. Something to freshen it up, I don't really like my bathroom, it's a typical 50's bathroom (ugly colored tile). Ds3 works for a flooring company, he's an installer, he brought home some vinyl flooring the other day and asked if I want it put down in the bathroom. It was left over from a job they did and the homeowner didn't want it. It's really pretty so they'll try to get that down on Sunday too. I'm hoping they will have some left to put in the 1/2 bath in the basement.

Working from home today but then I have to work tonight and tomorrow night at my other job. Hoping I can grab a nap sometime today. Tomorrow is ds1's bachelor party, they're going to a shooting range and then out to dinner.

That's it for today, hope everyone has a great and sunny weekend. :sunny:

Good Morning and Happy weekend to all :tigger:

Thanks so much, Frog, appreciate you. ITA that delivery is a ton easier than in store! That said, one day when it is safe for me to go out again, what a Blessing it will be to get to do something as simple as help dad with grocery shopping or laundry not to mention go into a store for clothes or even the Dollar Tree. One thing is for sure though and that's how much I have come to appreciate being much better shopping organized. There truly is no reason to go to Target, for example, weekly. Some planning in advance saves both money and time having to be out and in a store. Hug to you and I will pray the new year does indeed bring you more calm, my friend.

PollyannaMom, your cat tales always make me (a complete dog person) smile, thank you :) I hope you got some good rest, as well, my friend!

Pea, that is a perfect Friday picture, thank you, friend. I admit to not being much of a Nemo fan but the message is right on 🐠

Hug, Snowysmom, definitely praying extra for Lynn today, and also for dear you as well!

So glad to hear you have a trip planned, Judique! I hope you have a great time :)

Wow, Footballmouse, you have a lot of renovating plans, good for you! I look forward to seeing some pictures if you want to share with us :)

Wishing all of you a fantastic Friday.
